I'm not actually completely sure it's an anime. I think I read it somewhere maybe, that it's an anime, but I know it's rather old. Maybe it's a cartoon? I know it was drawn in that general anime/manga style.

Aaaaanyway. Vaguely from what I can remember, it is about a little girl (maybe black or pink hair?) and a huge blob-like black thing with a white mask. Most of it I fouind either really creepy or really profound. One of the episodes (I am SO sorry if I confuse you) had some test an old lady gave the little girl to find her parents or whoever who had been turned into pigs, among lots of other exactly alike pigs.

The only other episodes I can remember (the girl trying to kill the blob and it splattering everywhere while chasing her up stairs, the girl coming through and tunnel to meet her parents, and the blob and girl going on some kind of jouney along train tracks in the shallow sea together) are pretty vague and jumbled.

Sorry if I just wasted your time, but I'd really like to clear up this memory. It's been bugging me for a while and I finally decided to ask the public =3

Spirited Away I think you're talking about. Though, I'm not positive. It's a Miyazaki movie if it is though. =3

yeah, that really does sound like Spirited Away.

It is definitely Spirited Away. Her parents were turned into pigs by the old lady. The gilr hides among the servants of a magical bath house. The big black blob comes and she ends up helping clean it, the blob turns out being the spirit of a river that had been badly polluted. She makes freinds with a young boy that the old woman who runs the bathhouse had enslaved, he helps her. The old lady has a nearly identical sister who is a good witch. You can probably get a copy of it online or order it from Best Buy.

It is an animation movie. It is also called Spirited Away which they just said before. She ends up falling in love with the river spirit. :D Which was wonderful. Plus his movies are always wonderful. x3 Have you watch the one where his son produced one? It is really good. I liked it, though I am not sure about you.

I don't remember the blob guy ever turning into a blue dragon creature o_o; They're two separate characters if I remember correctly...

Both the blob and the boy were river spirits. The boy was actually a forgotten river that had been filled in and covered over by construction I believe.

just as you said 'parents turning into pigs' i gasped and knew right away. Spirited Away is soooooo good it's my mum's favorite movie i recently watched and i love no face who cares if he's a monster. Actually he appeared in my dream, well his action, i was was doing his 'ah, ah' action. -sigh- wonderful movie

@Kenora: Nope, I watched it on TV, but it was a long time ago TT^TT so I think I must have either missed parts of it and watched it again or I was thinking of ad breaks, not seperate episodes.
