Mae swallowed hard. She had children? She had a mate? Mae promised herself she wouldn't leave, or turn sour. Vessil was miserable, and Mae was the only thing she had left. Mae furrowed her brows. She owned her own netherworld? Mae wondered why they would turn on her so easily. Mae whispered.
''Why would they do that? Are they planning something...?'' Mae theorized that they were planning some kind of attack. Hell, thats what they always did. Mae squeezed her arms reassuringly around Vessil. She kissed her cheek.
''I will always be here for you. But remember, I'm not perfect. So I will sometimes mope or get angry, but don't take it offensively...'' Mae smiled softly.

Vessil shook her head for a moment, holding in close to Mae and she nodded her head when the woman warned that she'd still be upset occasionally. Vessil had never intended to hurt Mae in that way, but it was too late for it now as she eventually sat back, taking a few deep breaths to try and calm herself down, though the tears still rolled down her cheeks as the memories haunted her again.
She needed to shake the thoughts out of her head, her eyes looking up to Mae, sad, sullen things now, still wrought with grief and loss, she swallowed hard and tried to think, her mind still being troublesome,
"They're definitely planning something.. And.. I didn't agree to it.. They all turned on me at once.. An alliance to.." She looked at Mae, a shocked look on her face, "They.. They want to invade Celestia..!!"

Mae stood up abruptly, and helped Vessil up with her hand. Mae hissed through her teeth.
''So that's what they've been planning, huh? Damnitt, I have to tell...'' Mae paused as the ground shook with a huge tremor that could've been an earthquake, but Mae knew what it really was. Mae held on to her scythe. When a large demon erupted from the earth, Mae sighed.
''There's no time to tell them. We have to disperse of this low-life.'' Mae lept forward; her scythe poised in her left hand to strike him in the abdomen.

Vessil got up with Mae, lowering her head in the shame of the though, the demons, those she was a part of, they were planning a vicious attack on the heavens itself. But why had they all gone after her? Had they simply viewed her as a threat tot heir plans? It was still fuzzy, though she had not time to think about it as the large being appeared.

The giant beast swung a large double-headed axe down at the two with great force, slicing down a whole line of trees as it surged towards the couple, though Vessil rushed over quickly, placing her hands against the shaft and stopping it dead, although she was pushed back a small distance, two lines of dug up earth following the path her feet had gone to but she then pushed against the center of the weapons, easily overpowering the demon until she had the opportunity to kick straight up, throwing the weapon and the creatures arms up into the air and exposing the chest and belly of the giant monster, a nice open target for Mae-Su.

With a roar, Mae swept her scythe at the middle of his abdomen. The metal sliced cleanly through his stomach, and the mana she infused inside the metal burned him from the inside out. Mae landed on her feet gracefully, and flipped her bangs out of her eyes. She watched the monster collapse to the ground. Pulling her gun out of its holster, she shot three mana-infused bullets. The bullets sliced the air with speed, and striked it in it's eyes. His energy escaped from his body, and filled the clearing with hues of blue and green. Mae sighed, and beckoned for Vessil to follow her back home. They had some planning to do.

Vessil stood in the clearing for a while, though then spread her arms, absorbing whatever excess energy was left in the nearby woods, as well as the power from the demon they'd just slayed. Once she was satisfied that she'd obtained it all she followed after Mae, grasping her arm and holding on as they walked, placing her head against Mae's arm, her eyes to the ground.

She couldn't think of anything to say for now, Me had just found out more things about her, probably things she never wanted to know. Vessil had recently lost her family, her netherworld and her friends, but she'd at least gained Mae, they hadn't been around one another long but she felt like their hearts were linked.

Most of all she was just happy that the Angel had come for her again, she didn't have to be alone anymore. However she knew what she had to do, she had to deal with the demons, they wouldn't stop coming for her, they wouldn't let her rest, she either had to die or kill them, stop their foolish plans.

Mae looked towards the sky while they walked. There wasn't much talking except for questions like, ''are you okay?'' and ''what happened?'' It was fairly uneventful. When they had reached their home, Mae slung her weapons onto the back of the sofa, and threw herself onto the bed. She patted the spot next to her for Vessil to come. Mae turned towards Vessil, and gently ran her fingers on the skin of Vessil's arm. Mae closed her eyes.
''Tell me what you remember about your past life. I want to know who you really were, Vessil. And how this'll influence who you are now.'' Mae kissed Vessil's knuckles.
''I really don't know what to do anymore, Vessil. Like, I've probably done something I'll be shunned for.'' Mae smiled knowingly.
''For loving you.'' Mae leaned in to Vessil's neck. Breathing the scent of her lover.

As they walked, Vessil found herself unable to answer, it was all still a bit too much too quick, she clung to Mae up until they got home again, she mimicked the Angel and placed her guns over the back of the seat before following her tentatively over to the bed and sat down as Mae had intended for her to.
Her eyes went down to Mae's hand and she placed her other hand over the woman's, smiling at the kiss upon her hand,
"From what I can remember so far.. I was an Overlord of my own Netherworld, although I still conversed with the other Overlords, I kept myself apart from their conflicts and their plans and even managed to get them to leave my Netherworld alone." Vessil looked away from Mae then, "I had a lover, and we had children together.. If you're wondering how, its an ability I have, I'm part succubus, part majin, I think I remember that clearly enough.."

She looked over to Mae with a sad face, contorted as though she were going to cry again but she bravely held it back, holding her hand in Mae's,
"They came up with a new plan.. They were sick of the angels interrupting in some of their battles and their attacks on earth, so they decided to band together.. They're going to trick the angels with feint attacks, destroy the Angel's favorite city and from there launch a full scale attack on heaven.. I refused because I knew what would happen if they succeeded.. Some of them called me a traitor to the cause, others called me a traitor to demons, not that demons are much to betray most of the time.. More of them believed I was siding with the angels and the rest.. The rest despised me out of fear because of how powerful I am."
Vessil looked away, drawing her hands from Mae and hugged herself, leaning forward a little,
"Obviously.. I wasn't powerful enough.. They overpowered my netherworld and destroyed everything in sight, everything and everyone.. I used the last of my power to escape, but now I wish I'd died... Simply to watch from oblivion when the Angel's hammers came down on their heads and they final started wiping out our kind... You angels may be vastly inferior in numbers but you still hold holy powers that outstrip the power of darkness.. My entire race will be eradicated if I don't find a way to stop them.. Humans wouldn't care, it would be good winning over evil.." She then looked to Mae,
"But the loss of one side of the coin is an imbalance. There has to be both good and evil. And before the Angels even destroy the Demons entirely, an unholy war will wreak havoc over the mortal plain and cause serious damage.."

She looked at Mae for a while, thinking on how she didn't know what she wanted to do, but then Vessil slunk over to her, resting her knees on either side of Mae's hips as she leaned down, resting upon Mae,
"Come with me, Mae.. Let them judge you after we find a way to stop the demons.. Be a fallen angel, be my lover and my companion.. I cant do this alone.."

Mae nodded her head.
''I've studied Chinese philosophy back when I was younger. And I agree. It's unbalanced without both good or evil. You think there could ever be a negotiation?'' Mae shook her head, laughing at the thought.
''Of course not. Angels are too snobby and would never stay in the same room as demons. Demons would most likely try to snap their necks.'' Mae winked at Vessil.
''Maybe we could be ambassadors, huh? Of peace or something...'' Mae giggled a little. It was a funny idea to think about.

"Negotiate..? With those barbarians..?" Vessil asked, a rather dark look on her face as she sat up, holding a hand in front of her. Lightning spared about it rapidly for a moment and she closed the hand into a fist, it burst into flames for a moment before dying down,
"There's only one way to negotiate with them.. They've ruined my life once already and now they're trying to do it again.. No I don't think there will be any kind of peace for them, even if I have to become the queen of the entire Nether-realm." Vessil looked down to the Angel she had pinned between her lap,
"They wouldn't listen to reason, they slaughtered innocents or as innocent as demons can get, as well as attacked humans who had nothing to do with our war, they even killed children.." She sighed, shaking her head sadly,
"No.. There wont be peace.." She slipped from Mae's lap and laid herself down beside the Angel, "I'm sorry but I cannot forgive it.. I owe it to them.. My family.."

[OOC// Sorry I haven't replied. :/ Busy lately. Christmas and school and all...]

Mae stroked the hair on top of Vessil's head, and shook her head.
''What good is it to do that? Sure, you should kill the people who did that to your family... But what about the rest of the world?'' Mae wrapped her arms around her knees.
''I don't understand. Your family was a... sacrifice. Maybe they were meant to die. Maybe its for a greater cause...'' Mae doubted that Vessil was religious. Hell, GOD was just another thing humans worshipped. As well as angels. Mae shrugged.
''Whatever you choose to do, I'll help...'' Mae sighed.

"I was meant to die too.. But only because those bastards decreed it. If we sit here and do nothing, it wont go away, I'm doing this to protect the mortal world from the folly of demons, not to mention save the Angels a battle they should never have to fight. Demons have no right going beyond the Nether-realm as it is." Vessil looked over to Mae, frowning a little,
"The only greater cause right now is the demons plans for Angel extinction, but they'll fail and be destroyed, the balance will be gone and the foundations of this world will tear themselves apart. What we will do for the world will be its ultimate safeguard.. You're the only angel who wold listen to me and help me put a stop to this.."

She looked over to the angel, gritting her teeth for a moment, a slightly angered face showing, she was still upset, but Mae's negativity on this whole matter was becoming unbearable, surely she could see that this was the only way,
"Would you rather my family died in vain..? Does your jealousy go so deep and so cruel..? I understand you angels are not perfect but to lose all compassion like so.. Dare I say it is verging on being no better than a demon..? We have to protect the world and defy both sides, you by helping me, and me by turning against all of my kind, we are all that stands between all three realms and an Unholy War."

She sighed looked away from Mae as she herself sat up, getting off the bed and she went to the doorway, though she stood there for a while, lowering her head,
"I understand if you don't want a part of this.. But I have to be a demon again.. If I want to save this world.."

Mae's lips twitched. It almost wanted to form a snarl. Mae was not jealous, she thought she was looking at the ''big picture''. Mae's fingers curled into a traditional fist, and with a swing, knocked her porcelain lamp into the wall. Her knuckles were bruised and bloody; but it would heal without Mae even having to think about it. Mae stood up; the anger flashed through her eyes as Vessil made that judgement. Maybe Vessil was trying to guilt-trip her into doing what she wanted. It was working. Mae narrowed her eyes, and spoke through her gritted teeth. One tooth chipped from her clenched jaw. Oh well, it'd grow back soon.

''Don't dare make a judgement like that. I'm not jealous. Not anymore.'' Mae pursed her lips. She decided to hold in her tongue. What she wanted to say might have been too much. Mae whispered. Her head hurt. She hadn't had a headache like this since she was a child.
''You forget my conquest is for peace. Not for war. I try to avoid it, to be honest.'' Mae shrugged her shoulders and smiled softly.
''Maybe that's why I'm not a good fighter like my other comrades.'' Mae lowered her head, and sadly withdrew her breath. When had her heart decided to beat slowly?

''Do you actually think I could defeat demons? Sure, maybe some smaller ones, but I'm not a great fighter, and I'm not strong enough. Not in the heart, especially.'' Mae took this time to laugh at her self. She truly was pathetic.
''I'm obviously not like the others. I avoid fighting and if I could, I'd want to die. But I have a village to protect, now don't I?'' Mae walked past Vessil in the door, and whispered.
''Yeah, I ain't perfect. But I'm not stooping to the level of fighting a battle that isn't my own.'' Mae closed her eyes. The tears were coming.

''Demons haven't really bothered me except for attacking the village, maybe. But thats my battle. For you... I don't know anymore. I took you into my home because you were an amnesiac and you would've gotten killed if I let demons come for you. I kept you in my home until you were stable. I ended up making you my lover when you still weren't in your right mind. You know, maybe you're right. Maybe I am worse than a demon. Maybe thats why I didn't fit in. Maybe I deserve execution.'' Mae smiled. It didn't seem like too bad of an idea.
''Maybe if I go to the angels and tell them I'm in love with a demon they'll kill me. Sounds pretty good to me.'' Mae stalked off. The idea started to become better and better with every second she dwelled on it.
