Gavin smiled, thankful that Alex had come back, and in one piece too! Though the new guy was strange, did he this guy? He’d never seen him before, how did he know that he cooked a lot? “Sylvie the salad looks great, I’ll get some dressing and then I’ll start serving dinner.” As he set up the plates and silverware on the table he kept glancing at this Gabriel guy. Then returning to the kitchen he grabbed pot holders and brought in the food, “I hope you’re all hungry, Holly you did a great job tenderizing the meat.” Taking the salad bowl he placed a moderate amount on his plate, he wanted to eat all of it because Sylvie made it, but that would have been rude. Passing the salad to Sylvie he whispered to her, “Sorry the movie didn’t work out, I hope this dinner makes up for it though.” He smiled affectionately at her as he reached for the mashed potatoes he’d just finished and passed them over to Alex. He liked an even distribution of food among his guests and friends.
Gabriel had never eaten human food before, to be truthful he’d never participated in any mastication. Angels didn’t require such mortal sustenance, because of their immortality they were better able to protect the good souls of the world. Now he found himself in unfamiliar waters, he knew how to eat but he still found it tedious. Taking the salad from Sylvie he placed a small amount on his plate making sure to accumulate a bit of each vegetable as well as the almonds that adorned it. He watched and waited, watching everyone else to make sure he was following the proper dinner ritual. “Thank you for this meal Gavin and Sylvie. It looks appetizing indeed, what is the name of the meal in which we are about to partake?”
Marissa sat at her desk and waited for class to start, for once her homework was somewhat done. The rest she’d finish on her lunch break, then the teacher walked in and started taking attendance. She called here when her name was called and got out her history book and notebook for their first subject of the day. Handing in her assignment to a girl named Jenna as she passed by. Marissa had a feeling it was going to be a long and boring day, and with the sunshine and warmth of the weather Marissa was soon lulled to sleep by the droning of her teacher and the comfort of the air that surrounded her.

Lyna slipped into the hallways of the school, watching as some people started to make a big deal about her being there considering she was a cat at the moment. She looked boredly at them and continued to make her way around the place, she then spotted a classroom that still had the door open just enough for her to squeeze in and explore. She looked around, seeing that Marissa was in there, she also realized that she was desturbing the classroom, she just walked in and esplored for a few moments rubbing up against Marissa's leg before she slipped out of the classroom and moved on to see something else that was going on.

As Gavin whispered to Sylvie, she barely resisted the urge to peck him on the cheek. Instead she smiled. "We'll try again sometime. I only hope the Gibbous will be okay…" It was her favorite movie theater, after all, or at least it had been. The dinner did indeed smell wonderful. It wasn't Italian, but that could wait, too. No, this was comfort food of the highest order, and she realized just how much she needed that as she sat down and filled her plate. Meat and potatoes trumped pasta alfredo this evening.
All that was missing from this meal was a good wine, perhaps a riesling, though she would have been equally happy with a merlot, and a candlelit centerpiece. Still, she couldn't complain, and sat back to let Gavin explain the meal to… whoever and whatever the stranger was.

Marissa jolted to attention when she felt a soft, warm body rubbing her leg. Looking down she saw it was a pure silver cat! The class was shifting around to look at the cat and just as quickly as it had appeared it slipped back out of the classroom. It took Marissa a minute to realize that it had been Lyna that had come into the classroom. Looking at the teacher she realized she’d missed some of the notes she needed for her final. She went back to taking notes and silently thanked Lyna for waking her up.
Gavin blushed, he couldn’t believe Sylvie was sitting next to him! He was all smiles for the rest of the evening, it didn’t even care that Gabriel spoke in a strange way. Or that the food practically disappeared into Gabriel’s mouth. Gavin was on cloud nine and his center was Sylvie. He set out teas, hot water and coffee for the desserts he kept in his pantry. He set out pastries, cookies, ice cream and a small assortment of cakes and pies. He was loving life and everything that was happening in the room, laughter, love, and friendship.

Alex ate alot for his meal. He was starving and had a long day. Holly on the other hand didn't eat anything except for the tomatoes and nuts from Sylvie's Salad while watching Alex eat. She thought the food looked great but she never liked meay and wasn't hungry enough to bother eating any. As soon as the deserts came out Holly grinned and filled her plate with sugary sweets. "Everything looks so yummy, I don't know where to start." She giggled.

Lyna smiled, well as best as she could in the form of a cat, she walked down the hallway, listening to everyone that was talking about her. About the cat that was running around the school, she squeezed her way through another door, this time she ended up at in an art room, she explored it for a while before she slipped out of the room. She sifted into a ferret before she decided to go back into the classroom that she had left Marissa in, just to see what the girl had to do all day at the place. She slipped back into the room and ran over to where her friend was at, sshe ran over her feet before slipping into her bag and peeking out at what was going on.

Marissa heard her bag moving and saw silver whiskers peeking out of her bookbag. Lyna was back, just in time for their English class to get started. This day was dragging along, but she was comforted by Lyna’s presence.

Gavin smiled at Holly, “Well, dig in! There’s plenty for everyone.” He passed out the little plates and forks and spoons. “Who wants ice cream?” He asked as he got the ice cream and a scooper to divvy out the cool sweet treat.
Gabriel perked up, he’d always seen children and adults eating ice cream. It seemed like a magical food, anytime people were eating it, it was as if all their troubles were gone. They’d be smiling, laughing, or at the very least content. He wondered if this food had a sort of magical element to it. “I would like to try some, if that’s alright?” He asked politely as he watched Gavin dig through a large freezer.

Lyna shifted until she was in a form of a small mouse, she then climbed back out of the bag and began to climb her way up Marissa's pants leg, once she was in the girl's lap, she then climbed up on her shirt and made her way to her shoulder and ducked under her hair. She crawled until she was right against her neck and was peeking out from under her hair, she liked being in the school in animal form because then she wouldn't have to do things that the other students had to do, and she could even change her shape and go unnoticed if she was small enough.

Holly grinned and filled her plate, but left room for the ice cream as well. "Gavin, you should have put out the dessert to start with!" She joked eating one of the cookies in one bite. Alex watched her and smiled slightly reaching over and pulling a brownie off her plate. Holly smacked his hand away. "There's a whole plate right there!" She exclaimed continuing to eat. "Holly doesn't share well with others. So never take anything that belongs to eher. That'd be a very bad idea."

Marissa felt something tugging on her pant leg, go onto her shirt and then under her hair. She felt a tickling sensation and giggled out loud. Tehehehe! "MARISSA!" The teacher cried out in the middle of her lesson. Marissa hoped that Lyna was well hidden, "yes ma'am?" Marissa stood up sheepishly. "Is there anything that you find particularly funny about Grendel's story?" Marissa looked down at her book, "N-no ma'am. I'm sorry." The teacher scrutinized her, "Sit down and try to pay attention to the lesson." Marissa nodded her head and sat back down. She reached her hand up and tried to find Lyna, "It's ok I won't let them find you." She whispered hoping Lyna could hear her.
Gabriel got a big portion of ice cream and put a spoonful into his mouth and swallowed it. He immediately regretted it as he had an instant headache. "Gaah, ow ow ow why does my head hurt so much? Is there a mind demon close by, are we being attack?" Michael had never experienced this sort of pain before, but as his throat warmed up his headache started to deminish.
Gavin laughed at Gabriel's reactin at having his first brain freeze. "You shouldn't eat it so quickly!" He took a bite of his ice cream and let it melt on his tongue, savoring the sweet cool flavor before swallowing it. Then Gavin heard the commotion between Holly and Alex's banter and he smiled. "I guess that if anyone tried to take Alex away they'd be in a world of trouble." He laughed and then looked over at Sylvie who seemed to be having a good time.

"If anyone tried to take Alex away they'd be dead before they knew what hit them." Holly stated almost sharply and took a spoon full of ice cream and two cookies, making an ice cream cookie sandwich. Holly then glanced over to Gabrial and giggled softly. "Brain freezes are funny. They make your head feel all weird." Alex, instead of commenting, took a brownie and broke it up into a scoop of ice cream and made brownie chunk ice cream, which he found very food. "Holly, you can't kill someone for liking me. It's not their fault I'm so amazing." He smirked and looked over to her. "You're so full of yourself!" her voice was full of annoyance, but as soon as she looked over to him he kissed her forehead. "Well, you're the reason I'm this amazing though." Holly hushed him and began to eat her dessert again, glancing across the table at Gaven and Sylvie, they looked very cute next to eachother.
(I just had to reread the past few pages 'cause I forgot where we were XD.)

(I had to read it too, sorry it's been so long. oh and I realized i accidently changed gabriel's name to michael so the angel's name is gabriel)
Gabriel didn't like this "brain freeze" he got from the ice cream. He decided to make himself a cup of tea, he was pleased that the hot liquid warmed his throat. He looked around at the two couple's he was dining with, they all looked happy and he could feel their happiness mixed with nervous anticipation. Gavin and Sylvie were just starting out in their relationship and on the opposite spectrum Holly and Alex had been together longer than most humans and still madly in love. This was the reason he fought for good, for these few happy moments that people were able to share with one another. As he continued to sip his tea he started to think about what sort of demonic creature he'd defeated and how he'd get his powers back. There were other things stirring in the abysses of Hades before he'd come down, something was happening and he needed to figure out what it was before it was too late. Gabriel's eyes started to droop and his body started to feel weak again, why were his eyes closing without his permission? He yawned and stretched trying to keep his eyes he realized he was fighting a losing battle.
Gavin saw Gabriel's eyes start to droop and then he yawned and stretched. "Looks like Gabriel's getting a bit sleepy. I'll set up someplace for you to sleep, is the living room couch alright?" Gavin was starting to feel the stress of the day catching up with him, and after eating dinner he was really getting sleepy. Sylvie's eyes looked heavy, and after everything that's happened he didn't feel comfortable sending her home. Even if he walked her home he didn't want to leave her there by herself, he'd be too worried. "Sylvie you can stay in my room and I'll sleep on the floor in here. Holly and Alex, you guys can stay in the spare room again if you want."

Holly ate another cookie before yawning as well and leaning against Alex. "Sure, thank you Gavin. You're very kind." Alex said softly and stood with Holly, taking their two empty plates into the kitchen. "Goodnight everyone." They both stated after cleaning their dishes. Holly collapsed on the squishy bed and fell asleep before Alex even had time to take his shoes off. But, he did not wake her as he crawled into bed beside her and closed his eyes.
