Welcome to Pan's Labyrinth. Its been generations since the princess Moanna has returned to her palace in the underworld. The dear princess, had become a queen, and her very daughter, became the next princess. Moanna's dear daughter, had dreamt of the world above, the horizons she would see, the breeze flowing through her hair.. Well, one fateful day, something her mother had feared, the princess escaped her keepers, and entered the human realm. History, had repeated itself, the young princess forgotten who she was, where she came from, grew old and passed on.. Moanna, the dear queen believed, as her father once had, that maybe her dear daughter would return in another body. Until then, the underworlders waited..

Setting

It begins with the mother and child driving to the camp; its halted for her mother isn’t feeling well. Something’s not right with the picture, and the child explores finding a piece of a statue and restoring it back to it. Finding something she calls a fairy, it follows her to the camp. This mostly takes place within the camp and forest, troops are nearing the camp, and things are heating up with the arrival of the pregnant captain’s wife.

Plot

The story cuts to World War II in 1939, with the Hermance family firmly in power. The young girl is traveling with her pregnant mother to join the Captain, her new stepfather and father of mother's unborn child, at his post in the mountains where he is rooting out English troops
The girl discovers a stick insect that she believes to be a fairy, which follows her to the mill where the captain is stationed. She chases it into an ancient Labyrinth nearby, where she meets the captain’s housekeeper, who treats her kindly but takes her home. Later that night, the girl overhears the captain’s house keeper and the local doctor conspiring to help the rebels. After waking her in the middle of the night, the insect appears in the girls bedroom where it changes into a fairy and leads her outside and through the Labyrinth. There, she meets a Faun who says that he believes her to be the reincarnation of the Princess. He gives her three tasks to complete before the full moon to ensure that her "essence is intact" so that she can return to her mother's realm.

The Lost Princess
The young girl whose step father is the German captain that her mother and her come to live with. She loves many books, and adventure, and discovers a little stick insect that she believes is a fairy. She follows it to the Labyrinth, in which she encounters a Faun. She's given three tasks for which to prove that she is the real Princess.

The Fairy
Guider of the young girl, and pet of the Faun's. She leads the young girl to the labyrinth, and also guides her through her tasks to help. The fairy has a short temper, yet is very forgiving. She plays almost of the girls contious. But know this, she cannot talk, only guide [like jiminy cricket 8D]

The Faun
The mysterious man within the Labyrinth. He gives the girl three tasks she must follow, without breaking any of the rules. He gives her the book of crossroads, which tell her specifically what she must do. He must make sure that the princess does not fail in her tasks.

The German Captain
Stepfather of the young girl, a very malicious man, and very cruel. He must find, and eliminate the English troops. Seemingly to care for his wife, he honestly just cares for his unborn son. The captain does not like, or trust, the young girl.

One of the Captain's main men, and a close friend. Obedient and intelligent.

The pregnant Mother
Wife of the Captain tries to get her daughters head out of the clouds. She's weak and ill with her pregnancy, and only time can tell what will happen.

She is dear to the young girl, and is almost like her, accept older. She is also a rebel; helping the English troops due to the fact her brother is one of them. The Doctor is also on the house keepers’ side.

House Keepers Brother
One of the opposing troops against German Captain Hermance. An optomist, and very bright. His force resides within a cave hidden in the wood, now and then getting closer and closer to the German camp. They pillage anything they can from fallen German troops.
