Ai aimed carefully and prayed that she didn't hit Sam. On a count of three, she and Kaito both pulled their triggers at the same time...

both hit the lock and it blasted into little pieces, Sam didnt react but Sami jumped to the roof.

The pieces went flying everywhere. One scratched a line right across Ai's cheek, but luckily it was a very shallow cut. More importantly, Sam was free. But he still wasn't moving.
"So this coma thing will wear off soon?" she asked Kaito.

Sami sighed and tried to slow her heartbeat... not that it had sped up the doc suit she was wearing took care of that.
"Sam" Sami whispered, but he didnt react... "Kaito you are SURE this will wear off right?"

"That's what the doctors were saying," Kaito was starting to look slightly worried.
Ai was suddenly scared he wouldn't ever wake up when she saw Sam's eyes slowly start to open, the word "Sami" on his lips.

Sami saw it and rushed over to him, "OMP im sooo happy you're alright" she hugged him tightly nearly choking him. "can you stand?"
Sam nodded slowly, he was still a little drowsy but it was clearing up. He tried to stand but his legs were like jelly and he fell back down into Sami.
"We're going to have to wait a wee while," Sami said.

"The two of us can keep watch for any Specials," said Ai. "But the sooner we get out of here the better."

Sami and Sam nodded together. Sam rested his head on Sami's shoulder. She saw Kaito and Ai place themselves in position so they could keep doc's away.

"What happened to you?" Ai asked Kaito softly.
"I managed to lead the hovercars away and eventually one of them got engine failure and the other crashed. I went back to find you and was just in time to see the you, Sami and Thunder go straight into that Special van. I didn't fully understand why Thunder had flown straight inside but I followed them to this place and overheard the doctors talking, like I said. Then I managed to figure out that Thunder was an imposter."

Sam lifted his head and looked at Sami in the eyes, "I hate to feel pain." He stuttered, "I want to be like you" he added and then he finished, "I want to be a pretty."
Sami's heart would've jumped a beat if it could. Sam wanted to be a prety!!! yay!
Sam slowly got up with the help of Sami and soon he was able to walk-ish.

"Have you got a hoverboard outside?" asked Ai.
Kaito nodded. "I also brought sneak suits for everyone. I had to trick a window into letting me in, it's this way."

Sami and Sam followed behind Ai and Kaito slowly. Sam stil had to hold on to Sami he was wobly especially after they half twisted his ankle.

Ai held the pistol tight in her hand even though she wasn't entirely comfortable with using it. They soon reached a window which was wide open and had a hoverboard outside it, but Ai heard footsteps behind her. She turned and saw cruel, pretty people. Specials.

Sami and Sam hadnt heard the specials and now they were held captive. Sami saw Ai's face and tried to scream but the special holding her held her tightly.

Kaito and Ai were closest to the window and they could still escape, but they couldn't leave Sam or Sami behind. They each had a pistol in hand but so did the Specials...
Ai grabbed Kaito's free hand with her own as fear gripped her. She had no idea what to do.

Sami struggled with the doctor but in the end she manage to hit his groin, he yelled out and let go of her, she quickly grabbed his pistol and shot the other doctor in the back. The doctor screamed and fell to the floor, Sam toppling down too... shit! had she hit him too? but then a syringe fell out of the doctor's hand... he had injected Sam...

*I don't know what to do... do I run and save myself, put up a fight or focus on protecting us all?!*

Ai and Kaito were still free and closest to the window. They could escape, but it would mean leaving Sam and Sami behind. But if all of them got captured, they were less likely to escape. Ai met Kaito's purple eyes and they both understood what the other was thinking.
"We'll come back for you, we promise!!!" yelled Ai as the two of them leapt out the window onto Kaito's hoverboard.

Sami heard Ai's words and then they were gone, she fell in the arms of the doctor. She looked at him and he smiled, a cruel but pretty smile, he was young.
And then he injected her too.

Ai felt terrible. Worse than terrible. She had left her best friend behind. She could sense that Kaito felt bad too, but he didn't know Sam and Sami as well as Ai did. But they had no choice but to keep moving.
Ai tried to think how Sami was feeling, wondered if her friend would hate her for this. She shook her head, not wanting to think about it. First they had to make sure they were safe themselves. Then they had to go save the others.

When Sami woke up she found herself in a small cell. Similar to the one they had found Sam in. Sam was in the cell too. He was in the corner hugging his knees. Sami tried to chuffle over to him but found her body paralyzed.
"Its no use to struggle with the drug they gave you." Sam said.
Sami looked up surprised, "Wa-aa-t?" her words came out with difficulty.
"They used a herb callled Marijuane or watever, and they used lots. you can't think clearly and you can't move. They did that to me the first time." Sam looked at Sami in the eye and smiled.
Sami tried to process this, but she found that she couldn't place 'marijuane' andywhere... "W-h0-fsfdsats mmmaarjijijiuanee?"
she attempted at asking him but failed miserable as she realized her mouth was all mushed up.
Sam laughed and threw his head back, "you 'pretties' are so stupid."
Sami wanted to get angry but she was mesmerized by the way he threw his head back and how he rolled his sleeves up. She wanted to be held by those strong comforting arms.

Ai and Kaito went to a party. "It's the last thing they'll expect," said Kaito. "They'll expect us to either hide back at my apartment or get out of the city."
"OK, but make it fancy dress," said Ai, not wanting to get caught again, and guilt about leaving their friends behind still eating at her. "That way even if they come to the party they won't recognise us."
They went to one of the biggest cliques in the city that were holding a fancy dress party at the time (which a lot of cliques were). The theme at the party was magic. Everywhere they looked they saw old-fashioned witches, wizards, nymphs, and all sorts of things. Luckily inside the building where the party was being held was a hole in the wall for costumes. Thanks to their face ranks, they were able to get good outfits. Ai asked for the first costumes which came to mind - faerie outfits. The hole gave them both faerie masks which melted onto their faces, making them look like they had sharp, pointed features and faerie ears. Ai wore a floaty gold dress and curly gold shoes to match. Kaito wore a green silk faerie outfit. As they stepped out into the party, they blended in easily. But hiding wasn't everything. They had to think of a way to rescue Sam and Sami.
"We can't do it the same way you got in," said Ai. "They'll have increased security. We need a new approach."
"There are no new approaches," said Kaito. "Only Specials are allowed in there and we're not Specials!"
An idea hit Ai as she looked in the mirror at her reflection, seeing a faerie girl who looked absolutely nothing like her. "What if we pretended to be Specials...?"

Sam looked at Sami, he could see her longing for him in her eyes, but how could she still want him and how could he stil trust her after all her betrayal. He moved closer to her and cradled her in his arms.

"No good," sighed Ai after the fifteenth time trying to rephrase the words "Special Mask" to get one from the hole in the wall.
"What's no good?" Some random guy dressed as a warlock appeared in the doorway and Ai jumped.
"Just trying to get a new mask from the hole," said Kaito, moving an inch closer to Ai. "Getting tired of the faerie look."
"Did I hear you were trying to look like Specials?"
Ai and Kaito were speechless. How were they supposed to explain?
"I don't see how they're very magic, but I figured out how to trick Special masks out of a hole..." he went over to the hole in the wall and did something that Ai couldn't see. When he turned around again, he was holding two masks in his hands.
"Uhm thanks," said Ai.
"No problem, but I think you look better as a faerie," he said with a wink before disappearing through the door again.
