Seeing Sami return, Ai assumed that all was well, and slipped into a short but fulfilling sleep herself. When she woke, Sam and Davide were still asleep. Davide was snoring. Grimacing, Ai got up and started to make herself some dehydrated breakfast.

Sami hadnt slept all night and instantly got up when Ai got up.
"Morning" she said as wide awake as she had been the night before.

"Morning," said Ai, offering Sami some breakfast. She glanced back at Sam and Davide. "How long are they going to sleep?!"

Sami looked over at them, Sam looked so peaceful. "I dunno" she pretended a yawn, "Sam still wants to come with us but he wants to go back to his village afterwards, ofcourse after the operation he wont remember anything," just then Davide popped his head round, "Wat opraton?"

"Never mind," said Ai. "Would you like some food?" she asked him, slowly so that he'd understand. She offered him some dehydrated breakfast.
Davide took it hungrily and ate it. "G-good," he said, clearly trying to comment on the taste.
Then Sam woke up.

Sami was surprised that Davide had understood what they were talking about.... had they been listening to their conversation? Did Davide really not understand english or did he just pretend? Sami was becoming more and more suspicious.
"Mo'ning" Sam said, "whats for breakfast?"
Sami handed him some dehydrated stuff and he looked at it suspiciously, then ate it hungrily just like davide.

"We should get going," said Ai, who'd been packing up their stuff while Sam and Davide ate. "We're almost at the city."
She went up to Sam. "I suppose Sami explained things to you?"
"Yes," he replied.
"Well, could you please quickly explain to Davide?"

Davide wasn't so happy about it, he was obviously ignoring Ai and Sami now. "Sam, tell him to stop ignoring us... its not very nice."
"he dont trust neither of you anymore... trust is a valuable thing." Sam shrugged his shoulders and waited for Sami to ge the hoverboard.

"Well, he can sulk if he likes, but you're both going to love the city," said Ai, jumping onto her hoverboard, and pulled a reluctant Davide on with her. She secured his crash bracelets, and then her own.
"You two ready to go?" she asked Sam and Sami.

Sam had instantly wrapped his arms around Sami's waist... a little too willingly... "Ye! Let's go!"
She soared away back on track.

Davide and Sam both gasped when the city came into view. Ai grinned and stood more confidently on her hoverboard. Fame and glory... that's what awaited her in the city. She couldn't wait.

Soon they were in the city grid, they had to be careful now to go straight to their dorms so no one saw them because else specials might become suspicious...

Uglies wouldn't attract too much attention, but Sam and Davide were slightly older than most other Uglies, so they did their best to stay inconspicuous. Soon they had arrived at the dorm.
"Home sweet home," Ai muttered. "Kinda funny. I've spent hardly any time here..."

Sami thought the same as Ai, "Let's all stay in my room, i can order the wall to give me 3 more beds. i think it'll be safer that way."
Before anyone could say anything else, "Safer? Are we in danger?" Sam asked rather roughly and scared.

"No she just means safer as in we won't lose each other," said Ai firmly. "Since you two don't have interface rings it would be quite easy for you to get lost."

"exactly what Ai said," Sami smiled encouragingly to Sam, who seemed very unsure and hesitant.

"Let's see your room then," said Ai, picking up her hoverboard. "I haven't actually seen it yet, we met just out here..."

"We sure did, follow me, " Sami led everyone up the automatic stair thing and noticed that Sam and Davide were very intrigued. Sami's door opened for her and let everyone in, the wall was still shut tight and wouldnt open or respond, she realized this was because she didnt have her interface ring on so that the Specials couldnt seek her. She was suddenly worried that Ai had kept hers. "Ai... ur interface ring, u took it off right?"

"Oops! Was I supposed to?" asked Ai, looking down at her ring. "I forgot, I guess..."

"SHIT!!" Sami couldn't believe it... "The specials will be following us any time now! We gotta put our stuff on the feeds now and leave! Shit DAMN IT crap.." Sam looked at her strangely and wondered why she was sooo angry. "Why you angry?"
"Bad people are gona follow us we need to leave!"
"Whats feeds?" he asked, Shit Sami leaked too now... crap she didnt know what to do

"Never mind, we don't have much time. My brother's a tech-head, he taught me how to edit stuff," said Ai, hurrying over to Sami's side. "Give me your cameras and I'll make the story quickly, K?" she whispered.

"Fine" Sami sighed, she was glad Ai knew how to do this cuz she had no idea, she prized open the wall hole (Sam and Davide were terrified it was going to eat them and cowered in a corner until she shut it again.) and got all her feeds editing thingy ma jjig kit out.
"There" she chucked it to Ai

"I'll be quick. If we're gonna have to leave in a hurry, why not get some stuff packed?" Ai said, as she quickly took off her contact lenses/cameras (with her back turned so that Sam and Davide didn't see). She quickly began editing the data they'd collected into a story for the feeds.

"Right, come on guys, you are both strong and fierce surely you cant be scared of a pice of metal?!" She dragged them out of their corner and dragged them in the wall hole, telling them to each grab a bag and pack it with stuff they would need, she did hers and Ai's she packed sum extra stuff like lenses and special cameras and feed editors that worker really long range and in other cities.
"Why are we in such a hurry?" Sam asked, and Davide looked up expecting an answer,
"Sam, dont worry, its just we've been away for a while without letting the city rulers know, which means that we disobeyed them and they will prosecute us if we dont leave now." she smiled and held his hand reasuringly. that seemed to do the trick

Soon, Ai had finished editing it. She put it up on the feeds, calling it "Primitive Settlement near City - by Sami Loveday and Ai Suzuki."
"There, done!" she called. "Will the Specials really be mad? We haven't done much wrong, have we? They won't be mad at us for leaving the city, surely...."
