Rose ran to Xena and nuzzled her "where's daddy"she asked
"I don't know"she said nuzzling her back

"in the morning we'll head out to coyote territory. nighttim is when they hunt." Dresdus said.
Fang ran up to Rose. "I'm happy your family is ok."

"mommy is but daddy isn't here"Rose said

"Don't be sad. My parents will find him." Fang nuzzled Rose.

"I hope so"Rose nuzzled him back
aww Xena thought watching Rose and Fang

"The rest of you get some sleep. I'll keep watch." Dresdus said staring out the opening of the den.
Fang curled up on the ground. "You can sleep next to me Rose. I'll protect you"

Xena laughed softly "please protect my daughter"
"Ok" Rose curled up next to Fang

Fang licked Rose's ear. "Goodnight Rose." Fang placed himsef under Rose's head so she could use him as a pillow.

"Night fang"she said nuzzling him

The next morning, Fang woke up and let out a big yawn. He then licked Rose in the face. "Morning Rose." He then got up and pounced on top of her. "Wanna play?"
Dresdus looked back and chuckeld. "Ahh, pups."

"morning Fang"she said licking his nose,she let out a small yawn "not right now"she answered
Xena woke up "did you guys have a nice sleep?"she asked

"Yes, we slept fine. But Rose kept snoreing" Fang laughed.
Dresdus looked over at Xena. "Frost and I will head out into coyote territory to find rafe. Xena, your injured. I need you to stay here and watch Fang, Snow, and Rose."

"hey"she said hitting Fang playfully
"Ok,please find him"she said softly

Dresdus and Frost headed out towards coyote territory. Fang started to chase Rose around the den.

Rose ran as fast as she could, she tripped over her legs and fell

Fang juped on top of Rose, and nipped her ear. "Tag! your it!"

"Now youre it"she said nipping him on his ear

Fang chased Rose again, this time nipping her tail. "Ha, your it again!"

Rose got Fang "Nope,now you are

Rafe made it to a few feet from the den before he had to rest. His fur was matted with blood some of it his own most of it coyote. He settled under a tree and closed his eyes. He had a nasty bite on his neck and was missing a small bit of ear but other than that he was fine. He just hoped Xena and Rose were okay too.

Fang wrestled Rose to the ground, Giving her a playful bite on the back of the neck. "Haha, got you!"
Dresdus and Frost walked past night pack's den, when they spotted Rafe. They both ran over to him. "Rafe, thank goodness your alright. Xena and Rose are back at are den. They say they were attacked by coyotes. What did they want?"

Rafe woke as the two Blood pack wolves approached. He sat up and became alert. He was relieved that Xena and Rose were okay. "The coyotes attacked out of fear. They've noticed the presence of humans as well and they're blaming us, the wolves. They might attack the other packs as well."

Dresdus turned to Frost. "We must hurry back to our den."
Fang continued to play with Rose. Suddenly, he smelled something in the air. "Hey Rose, Do you smell that. I think there are more animals coming."

Rafe stood and joined the two. "Let's go. Members of my pack are out fighting back but there are more coyotes than they can handle. Some might slip passed them." Rafe's mind went to Xena and the pups and he didn't like the thought of them meeting against coyotes alone.

Dresdus,Frost, and Rafe raced toward the Blood pack den. "I hope We're not too late" Dresdus thought to himself.
Fang walked towards the entrance of the den. He could see agroup of animals in the distance. They looked like wolves, but smaller.
