Kennedy folded her hands on her lap and swung her feet under the table like a child. She immediately stopped and looked out the window. She sighed as she saw the sun setting, it was always beautiful to her, and she loved the colors. She grabbed her cup, walked over to the punch, and refilled it. She walked over to her table of one again and watched everyone else having fun, and laughed at Mia, being hyperactively spazzy she was.

Cassidy felt Diana's lips pressed up against his and held onto her curves, biting his lips as he stared into her eyes. "You know, I think you are that amazing though. It's nice to know that I can bring out that somewhat nicer side of yourself," he said slightly upbeat. He turned his gaze to the girl whom his date was referring to and saw that she seemed a bit uncomfortable. "I think it's just that she feels fear about being around people ..." he chose his words carefully. "who drink plasma from other beings. Please try not to take offense to it. Anyway, lets go find a table."

Lorrina was still sitting at her table when she heard a voice from behind her asking why she was sitting by herself. She turned around to see a boy with white hair and green eyes looking at her. ((Thats you Nathan.))
"Oh, I'm just sitting alone because I just got here and all the tables were already full," she answered him with a small smile.
"No I'm not really lonely, its fun seeing the different types of people here," Lorrina told him.
Lorrina had a keen sense of smell due to being a werewolf and she could smell something strange about this person, it smelt like that of a demon. She tilted her head to the side,
"Are you perhaps a demon?" she asked the boy in interest.

Nathan

Nathan laughed. "Perhaps," he said playfully, raising a jet-black eyebrow into a perfect arch. Even though his hair was dyed white, his natural colour in human form seemed to be black this cycle. "Would you like to dance?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he awaited her reply. His sea-green eyes sparkled in the dim lights of the dance, and he gazed into Lorrina's icy blue eyes again. It's almost like being underwater, he thought, feeling almost... At home.

He blinked, the watery vision gone. You must remember your mission, he thought. You can't let yourself get carried away. He glanced over at his older sister as a reminder... But she had vanished. Where was she?

That didn't matter, though. What mattered now was much more important... Getting to know the others.

Mia

Mia felt his gaze upon her as soon as he stepped into the room. She shivered. His presence haunted her... It couldn't mean anything good, that was certain. She pretended to giggle back at Kennedy. As soon as I let myself go, she thought angrily, This happens. She hated the fact that he was here.

She excused herself and headed for the nearest bathroom, trembling with shock and anger. Why was he here? To take her home again?

She remembered the ominous message from Death, right before she'd gotten ill. A coincidence? She hoped so...

As I thought he is a demon Lorrina thought.
Lorrina's face turned red slightly when the boy had asked her to dance,
"Um okay, but I don't know how good a dancer I am though, I haven't danced before" she told him feeling a bit shy when he kept staring into her eyes
"What is your name?" she asked him. Lorrina watched him for a bit, he seemed distracted for some reason.

Nathan blinked, startled by her sudden question. Once again, he'd been lost in his own thoughts...

"My name..." he laughed softly to himself. Ironically. "You can call me Nathan," he said, smoothing away the question. If she knew his real name... He shuddered. He wasn't exactly a demon... Or at least, he hadn't always been this way.

He placed one hand on hers and the other on her hip, and began guiding her through a smooth waltz. "You're doing fine," he half-whispered, a small smile forming on his lips. "You're a wonderful dancer."

Lorrina smiled, "My name is Lorrina" she told him. When he started to show her how to dance, she looked amazed, "Cool I'm dancing," she laughed "This is kind of fun," she told Nathan with a laugh when he grabbed her hand and started showing her how to dance.
"Are you okay?" she asked after a little while "you look like something has upset you." Lorrina was good at observing people and Nathan seemed like he was distracted by something.

"It's nothing," he said darkly. Why was this girl always asking questions? It was starting to bug him. But... There was something different about her. Something refreshing. He felt his pulse quicken, and he found himself blushing. This was so odd for him, and he felt uncomfortable immediately.

The song ended, and he politely bowed to her, keeping his head down and his hair over his face to hide his blushing. Then he ran into the nearest bathroom, shaking and sweating. What was this? It was... weird...

Lorrina stood there a bit confused as Nathan ran into a bathroom when the dance had ended.
Maybe I annoyed him or something she thought in puzzlement. I might rest for a little bit, dancing is a bit tiring she thought as she walked back over to her table and sat down again, he seems like a nice person she thought thinking how kind he had been to her, she blushed a bit at the thought.

Diana shrugged, her long black hair falling in gentle black curls down to the small of her back, her grey green eyes were fixed on Cassidy's face for a moment before they flicked in a different direction to take in the decor of the dance, snowflakes everywhere.....wonderfull she thought her lips turning down in the corners before she replaced it with a bright smile, for cassidy i will be happy, he does make me happy enough

Cassidy led Diana to the back of the room and sat at a table to the far back. He pulled her gently toward him, attempting to seat her upon his lap and smiled crookedly, "Babe, let me know when you want to dance because tonight is about you. Besides, we can always sneak out and have a little private time out in the forest, like that first night we talked to each other." He closed his eyes and sniffed the air intently. He hated the fact that his smelling was so acute that it hurt to get the scent of certain objects.

Lorrina got up from her seat and walked over to a different table that was serving sweets, she grabbed a small piece of chocolate cake and walked over to a nearby wall and leaned against it, she bit into the cake and started to eat it. She watched the other people around her, they were interesting. There were quite a few vampire's around as well,
I wonder if the vampires here are going to make a big deal about the war between vampires and werewolves, she wondered.

Mia came out of the bathroom, almost bumping into... him. Her brother. Poseidon, Nethuns, Neptune... What name had he chosen this time? And, more importantly, why was he here?

"Brother." She spat out the word.

He smiled lightly, looking a little confused. "Excuse me?" he asked innocently, cocking his head to the side. "I'm Nathan Cronus...A new student here at Silver Cross. You must be getting me confused with someone else." He walked away, knowing that she knew. But I won't give it away so easily, Sis, he thought to himself. I want to have a little fun, first.

Mia glared as he walked away. So that's it, she thought. You won't let on yet... What a clever little game. She shuddered. She hated those games. The ones her whole, manipulative family used to play, before "Zeus" caught on and cast them all away. Now they just played them in the Underworld.

She sighed, leaning against a cool wall. Not that it mattered. Hell, the longer he played his stupid games, the longer she got to stay here! Empowered by determination, she decided to return to the dance. She would prove them all wrong. She would stay here.

Nathan walked up to the punch table and ladled some of the bright red liquid into two clear plastic cups; one for him and the other for the girl he'd met earlier.

"Lorrina." He whispered her name to himself, smiling.

"Would you like some punch?" he asked Lorrina, leaning against the wall with her, so that their arms barely touched.

Akira blushed, and she nodded, standing up at whispering to him, "Of course.." blushing as she pulled away and looked into his purple eyes... She smiled softly at him, trying to find the right words to say.... He looked absolutely wonderful, and she was a little nervous about dancing... She didn't want to step on his foot or anything!

Without another word, Spica led Akira onto the dance floor. He took her hand in his and placed a hand on her waist. Together they swayed to the music and kept time with the rhythm. When the music changed, their pace and dancing style did as well. The werewolf seemed a little nervous with some of the more mellow songs since he only knew certain dances for couples that were a little more fast paced. But he did his best not to seem uneasy. After twirling the azure angel, Spica felt now would be a good time to ask her. "Hey Akira, wanna join me on the roof top tomorrow night? There's no moon so nobody's going to see us." He pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her. "The forest view and night sky from up there looked pretty cool when I saw it a few days ago. Without the moon, I'm sure you'll be able to see more stars."

[I know the week of the New Moon has already passed but I still wanted to have Spica find out about Akira's secret somehow :sweat:]

Lorrina was interrupted from her thoughts by the arrival of Nathan carrying a cup of punch.
Lorrina looked up at him and smiled at him, "Thanks, that would be nice," she told him, she reached out her hand and took the cup from him, her hand accidentally touched his hand as she took the cup, she blushed in embarrassment, "Oh sorry," she said. Lorrina leaned back up against the wall and took some sips of the punch to hide her embarrassment.
I wonder why he is being so nice to me she thought curiously.

((Sorry, I'm going to sleep now... I won't be able to post until Tuesday, though, because I'm going to be very busy tomorrow!))

"It's alright," he said, winking. "I didn't mind." He was back to his old, cool, cocky self after his face-off with his sister; his feelings locked and buried as usual. "Where did you get that cake?" He suddenly realized he was hungry.

Lorrina pointed to the table that was serving different sweets and cake,
"That one over there," she told Nathan, "The cakes are really nice," she said. Lorrina continued to watch all the other students again.

Akira blushed when Spica pulled her close to him, but she was secretly a little worried..... until she remembered about her bracelet that could supress her fox form until midnight. She would just have to figure out how to leave and get to somewhere safe..... She looked up at Spica, and she realized that she didn't want to disappoint him..... but would they be able to stay friends if she couldn't leave in time.... or would he run away like everyone else? "Spica...... I would love to," she said, hugging him gently, praying that she wouldn't hurt him..... Her imagination taunted her with an image of a bloodied Spica.... or was that her fox form talking? She remembered about how she could talk with her fox self while she was asleep, and she decided to try and convince it.... well, she.... or whatever that monster considered itself to either let her regain control of herself when she transformed (that was more likely) or convince it to do the impossible and back off for one night.... No transformation... no NOTHING until she was absolutely sure no one would get hurt. She hoped for the second option, but that was like hoping for the impossible. From previous experience, her fox self usually had a short fuse, which meant it was like walking on eggshells when trying to talk to it.... or convince it to do something, which could be a lot worse. Her fox self was sometimes reasonable, and she would be in a better mood since the new moon was soon. Looking into Spica's eyes made her even more determined to supress that DEMON that was cursed to be a part of her.

(Well, I guess I missed ninety percent of the ball thanks to World of Warcraft and the virus that forced me to have to do a system recovery. *sigh* Stupid "piggy-back", ugh, I think that's one virus that I never want to go through again. That was depressing, not being able to play WOW for hours or rping with all you guys. It was all because of that "piggy-back", which kept shutting my computer down, so I eventually quit turning it on and WOW said they didn't do it...GRRR!!! I have conceded liars...eh let me stop...what's done is done, my computer is fixed, I'm happy.)

[Sorry to hear about your computer Wistful. We also had a virus problem with our old computer. It's not the same one as yours but it messed up the memory and most of our files got deleted :(]

"Awesome!" he replied and without even thinking kissed Akira on the cheek. After realizing the impulsive move, Spica blushed slightly before hastily apologizing. "Sorry." the werewolf said, avoiding her beautiful gaze. "I wasn't thinking right. Haven't eaten in a while, you know?" He wasn't sure if she would by that lame excuse and took her hand while he side stepped as part of the dance. Now he was torn between wishing for the ball to end and wishing for it to keep on going. "By the way, why did you decide to study at Silver Crest?" he asked trying to change the subject. "It has an advanced facility and all but I didn't meet a lot of people who were into the whole 'getting along with other races peacefully' thing back home. My parents didn't want me to come here in the first place."

Akira blushed a little when Spica kissed her on the cheek. "It's Ok.... I don't mind," she said, smiling at him. She blinked when he asked her why she came here. "I came here to Silver Crest to get away from all of the cruel kids at my old school... My parents thought it would be better for me here.... and they were right," she said, looking up into his eyes.
