"I'm trying. You have no idea. One time I loose my temper, just for a single second everyone leaves. If you knew what happened before I'm almost positive you would leave and take Suki with you. You would mostlikely say I was insane." Hazel stated and wiped the tears from her eyes looking back at him. She was suprised when it looked like he cared. Maybe he would understand.....no, no one ever did.

"I can't think of anything that could do that... Well that I could see you doing that is." Sonzo said softly the care and consern staying in his eyes.

Hazel bit her lip and looked at him. She wanted to tell, but what would he say? She went to speak but just barely squeaked out the words. "I killed someone."

Sonzo looked at Hazel stund. He didn't know what to say and the silence started to hurt him slightly. He wanted to ask but at the same time he didn't know if he wanted to know. "H-h-haw long ago was that?" He asked quietly hoping she would not get more upset if she herd his question the wrong way.

"A few years." Hazel said looking down. She tried to look up at him but she couldn't. To afraid to see what he might have been thinking. "I didn't mean to. Honest I didn't! I just got mad at her..and my parents told me to punish her because she was a slave. I didn't think I would kill her."

Sonzo's eyes soffened and he got up and walked over to Hazel. He hesitated at first and then desided it was ok. He put his arms around her hoping she would not be so upset. "It's ok it was just a mistake..." Son said in a soothing voice hoping he could calm her. He hated seeing people hurting or upset it hurt him to see others like that.

"A mistake that killed the only person I trusted." Hazel said burrying her face in his chest and began to sob. It felt good to be able to let her feelings out. It had made her angry every time she thought about it, but now she relized that she was trying to hide the sadness.

Sonzo rubbed Hazel's back softly and let her let it all out. "Just let it all out I don't mind." Son said softly as he thought of the many times this had happened to him before and how he willingly sat there just to confurt the girl or child and try to calm them.

(XD...hehehe all my characters have depressing backgrounds that make you want to cry. That's what makes them fun. :))

Hazel cried and cried untill finally she couldn't anymore. Taking a few deep breaths she looked up at him. Her face was tearstreaked and her eyes were red and puffy. A tiny smile showed on her face. "Thank you for understand...thank you for caring, Thank you for...for everything." She choked out a few tears still falling down her cheeks.

"You're welcome but you don't have to thank me for anything." Sonzo said with a soft smile and instinktively whiped the tears from Hazel's cheeks lightly. Suki started to stir slightly as her good dream went bad and started to let out soft yelps and wines.

A moment or two after hearing Suki, Hazel pulled away from him. But that time when she was crying and his arms were around her she felt safe, there was someone else she could trust, someone she could talk to. Hazel ran to Suki's room and woke her up. "Suki, it's okay. It was just a bad dream. are you okay?"

Suki had bean crying in her sleep and when she woke up she put her arms around Hazel's neck terified of what she had seen in her dream. son walked to the door and stayed there unsure what to do. Suki didn't even seem to notice him and only seemed to be consintrating on calming down.

"Hey come on now don't cry." Hazel said hugging Suki. "Do you want to talk about it?" She smiled at Suki. "We all have bad dreams but I promise I won't let yours come true." She undid Suki's arms from around her neck and held the young girls hand standing up. "Lets go get you something to eat and drink too. You must be starving." She started to walk out of the room pulling Suki behind her. "Sonzo, you're not leaving yet, right?"

Suki calmed and whipped her eyes with a nod to Hazel "No, I'll stay for a bit." Sonzo said with a smile. He looked at Suki and wondered what could have gotten her so upset.

"Okay, Suki what would you like to eat?" Hazel asked walking to the kitchen. "We have whatever you would like." She smiled at both Son and Suki, hiding the fact she had been crying from Suki.

"anything I don't care what." Suki said honestly. Sonzo smiled at Hzel. "I thought you said you couldn't cook?" He said lightly.

"I can't. I was planning to make her a sandwich. That can't can't catch on fire." Hazel said smiling at Sonzo. "Who wants peanut butter and jelly?" She asked opening the fridge and taking out bread and jelly. The peanut butter was already out.

(Okay they would have peanut butter and fridges here right?)

Sonzo and Suki smiled and laughed. "I like strawberry jelly... If you have any." She said with a smile, her tears had dried slightly so she was not crying anymore or even really sniffling.

(Lol I wouldn't see why not. I don't think we put any particular time frame other than having horse drawn carriages rather than cars and slaves. But even that's no actual indication of time since it could either be in the past or future. XD So, so long as Sinsue doesn't mind it I don't either. XD)

Raven couldn't help but admire the fairyfly woman's appearance in the sunlight, it was indeed a rather grand difference from the dark dinginess of the slave market below. His eyes couldn't help but contain a deeper tone of warmth and gentleness to them as he gazed at her with golden eyes that seemed to absorb then reflect the rays of sunlight themselves. Other than his eyes seeming slightly brighter, a few strands of black hair being played with in the breeze and disheveling his long hair slightly, and the small shadows that the hat created here and there on him his appearance didn't seem much different from when he was in the slave market below. Perhaps if his wings were out the raven colored feathers would reflected the sun-rays giving a slight glow to his appearance, but at the moment they were currently tucked away to wherever 'hammer-space' they disappeared to when they were not out.

His smile couldn't help but increase in warmth and friendliness as Mjrn said that she enjoyed talking with him, a drastic difference from what he had gotten from the other slaves below that still awaited a master or death, whichever came first really. "And I enjoy speaking with you, especially on such a lovely day as it is today" he said softly as he once more enjoyed the feeling of sunlight and the warmth it brought about. A thought suddenly occurred to him, how would the fairyfly feel about a pleasant flight around the town? After all he figured it would be a good way of stretching her wings, and it was such a beautiful day out and he had no doubt that she would look even more radiant against the clear blue sky with the sunlight gracing her figure. And since they both had wings they could use they could still easily converse with one another. "What would you say to a bit of a flight around the town? I'm sure Miss Alice probably wouldn't mind since she seems rather understanding" he suggested gently.

His eyes didn't miss the slight shade of pink that graced her cheeks as she seemed to have realized their entwined hands had remained once they were actually outside. He didn't really mind it in the least, in fact he welcomed it, but he could understand the possible slight embarrassment of holding onto the hand of one that she had only met. However to show that he truly did not mind holding her hand, nor feeling the warmth of it in his gloved hand, he gently offered it once more only a moment after his suggestion of a flight.

(Okay. Good cause if peanut butter wasn't invented I think hazel would end up dying because that would be the only food she could make. :D)

"Strawberry jelly...hmmm..." She looked at the jar. "It's strawberry! I never noticed what kind I got." Hazel laughed beginning to make the sandwiches. Starting with Sukis she spread the peanut butter then the jelly and put the two pieces of bread together. She finished the other two sandwiches and cut them in half. Her hands and arms were covered in jelly and peanut butter. Brushing the hair out of her face she left a line of jelly across her forhead and started laughing. "Told you I couldn't cook!" She looked around for a napkin and grabbed one attempting to get the stickyness off her forhead and hands.

(Lol well if there wasn't peanut butter she could always make things like ham sandwiches or something. XD She would just need the butcher to cut the slices for her maybe? XD)

{That'd be to much effort. She's lazy and doesn't like ham. XP}

Suki giggled at Hazel and Sonzo tried as hard as he could not to laugh... So much for that. "Ok ok I never seen someone make such a mess you're right." Son laughed finally.

(Lol it takes less energy to make that then a peanut butter and jelly sandwich though. XD Pour the stuff on the slices of bread, place the meat in, put the halves together and you're done. XD Or she could always replace the ham with something leafy or some other meat. XD)
