(*Yawning* Morning all...I should be asleep, but I have to go to work at 8 am...Y.Y...I'm not a morning person at all. I'm more of a night owl. XD You know I wonder why they call it night owl, aren't most owls if not all nocturnal? Why can't it just be called owl? It doesn't make any sense to me. :cry: Eh oh well...)

{Just most are...and I have to get up at 6 every morning for school. It's stinky. My school starts at 7:20 and I have a 45 minute drive. So I have to be up really early. I leave by 6:30 everyday. It stinks. And I'm not really a morning person I'm just really good at acting it.}

(I still say it should just be owl rather than night owl since most are nocturnal. I think even some of the owls that are up during the day still hunt and do their main activities at night, after all that's what they're eyes are for. That sucks, for me it depends upon the day. Today I had to be up, ready and out of the house by 6:20 am so my brother in-law could drive me to a cafe across the street from my work since it's on the way. The only downside of that though is that I'm dropped off at least an hour to two hours before I have to go into work. I would just go into my work and kill the time there although the punch in clock won't punch people in until about five minutes before their shift, or at least it does with people who it will allow to punch in which doesn't include me. -.-' Evil computerized punch in clock...Curse you technology in some areas, curse you!)

(Well I'm now able to punch in on the clock, although it still hates me. It took me four tries just to punch out, and three tries to punch in. The clock also has the annoying time/second thing on it so if your late it'll show, which sucks when it won't punch you in on time. Thankfully though it does show all of the attempt made to punch in, punch out, start and end a break and the times they were attempted. Freaking clock...Anyways that does indeed stink that you lost your job. I know fully well how hard it is to try and get another one. >< Hopefully though you'll be able to get another rather quickly. :D)

((My boss is such a shovanist... Dont know how to spell that word... He favors the boys over the girls and decided "Oh yeah, ill put you on sub duty where you can just hang out there until you get a call from us." Well hey look at that. I get a call from you guys to sub for someone and you send me back home that same day because:

1. You changed the punch in clock to a computer system with a password
2. You dont need me that day because you have your guys.

Oh and then they just forget about me, so when i come back to ask for a time slot in the place they go. "Oh... you dont work here anymore." Nice of you to send me a letter...

Sorry about the rant... I was so pissed off when it happened. But thats how i lost my job))

(Yeah I've found most places no longer honor the whole 'sending a letter of dismissal' thing anymore. I had something similar happen at a dog kennel that I once worked at. I hadn't gotten a call or schedule, when I called, from them for awhile. So one day I call and speak to the boss, and mind you it's November and Thanksgiving is that week and I've got plans to go to another state for family, and she tells me this "Oh...Well do you think for Thanksgiving and the day after you could come in at 8 am and stay until about 5 pm?" I then tell her that I might be able to pull off the day after Thanksgiving, but since it's such short notice and the places have already been set and I have a five hour drive to do that day, I wouldn't be able to do Thanksgiving day, however I can maybe do Christmas instead as well as the days before and after Christmas. Sure that would mean I wouldn't really get to spend time with my family during that time, but hey since I can't do Thanksgiving I can do the next huge family-oriented holiday. Her response then was "Oh...Well thanks for calling". That was my dismissal. No actual 'You're fired' or 'We're letting you go' or anything like that. Just a simple thanks for calling. But since at that job I was being paid 'under the table' I just pretend it never happened...)

((Wow.... and to think that i had to work at the job that didnt fire me properly on christmas, christmas eave, thanksgiving, new years day and eve, and any other holiday you can think of like easter or mothers day or even Halloween one time was when i had to work. They wouldnt let me come in a costume because it was a safety hazard on the ice. I was a freakin skate guard who was dressed in blue jeans and a read jacket saying i was a skate guard, getting hit with bumble bee or fairy wings on the ice. Everyone was dressed up but me... It was sad. I had a costume and everything.... Im sorry about your job too. Though im sorry to say i have no idea what you mean by saying "being paid under the table."
