He sighed and opened the door.
"Oh! Belle...what is it?"he asked confused and surprised at the same time.

she smiled and swept him a crusty " Dinner is ready M'lord" She informed him softly hiding her hand in the folds of her skirt. not wanting him to tease her about that as well

He looked at her oddly.
"Very well, thanks for imforming me belle...you are learning quickly!"he said patting her head and walking past her, his tail calmly swishing behind him. He looked back.
"Come now, we don't want to go hungry now do we?"he said walking down the stairs.

she was slightly irritated by the pat on the head. she was not used to being treated like a child or an underling but said nothing at all as she fallowed him down teh stairs.

He entered the kitchen and sat down in his regular seat while the servants served the food.

she hung back unsure of she should sit or eat with the servants. after all she was a servant i his house..wasn't she?

"What's wrong belle? you look uncomfortable....don't be afraid by my appearance."he said looking at her with no emotion.

she shook her head at him and spoke to him clearing and truthful " why should I be afraid of you?" She asked him truly puzzled as far as she knew he wasn't a bad person.

"All of society is, i'm surprised you aren't..."he said grabbing a biscuit.

" i was told never to judge by ones appearance" She said lightly to him

"I see...at least some parents teach their children."he said as he took a bite of the biscuit.
He didn't look at her while he ate, he knew she felt uncomfortable.

She waited for him to eat still not knowing what she was to do at all.

He stopped eating and looked back at her.
Servants brought in the stew and gave some to Belle and some to the Beast.
"Thank-you..."he whispered.
"Okay then Belle...if you're not scare of me, then what's wrong?"he asked surprised he even cared.

She was surprised by the extra serving and sat down were it was. " why would there be something wrong?" She asked him lightly

"Your expression says it all...you are uncomfortable about something...but why trust me right?"he said eating once more.

She sighed Irked by his negative out look " it was simply because i was unsure you wished for me to eat with you or the rest of the servants" She told him before she began to eat.

"Eat wherever you feel comfortable...I won't force you to eat here or with them..."he said looking straight at her.
"Have you gotten familiar with the place?" he asked suddenly.

She looked up at him taken aback " some what I have only been here one day M'lord, it will require time" She said lightly before she put some of teh stew in her mouth.

"Right, forgot..."he said and resumed eating.
The servants all had their fair share of food. Eofe looked at Belle and the Beast eating together and smiled.

Belle simply ate in silence not wishing to speak unless she her self was spoken to first. She had a horrid fear of displeasing him. as she ate she forgot to hide her bandaged hand as she buttered a biscuit

The beast noticed quickly.
"What happened?"he asked.
"I'm impressed you hid it from me for so long...."he added.

She startled slightly as he asked that and looked at her hand before hiding it under the table " it cute my self while slicing vegetables" She said lightly " its a shallow cut and shall heal in a few days" she added

"I sure hope so...it will hurt while you work now."he said.
"You amuse me Belle...I don't know why or how, but you do."he said before finishing, and excusing himself to play the piano.

She sighed and finished eating her self, she went to the kitchen to help clean up, wondering what that was all about.

"Hmm...what song to play now?"he said sitting at the piano.
