Here are some of my past Poetry Pieces:

(Written about mourning and remembering my childhood)

"Losing My Child"

I love you
even in death
my sweetpea,
princess,
critter,
my little naturalist
forever.

And what is it
to love a daughter
forever gone,
your smile everlasting
like your wind whipped hair,
never losing shape
and your eyes, oh so distant
and grey,
seeing things, that mine
never will.

To lose you instantly
like the brilliant flowers of may.
Fading in a moment,
eternally away.

My baby girl,
I watch over you
the way you watched
that dying bird.
Do you remember
that rainy day
when you found her broken body?
and held her till she died?
Do you remember
when you buried her
in the open meadow?
And I held you while you cried?

Today it is raining,
as I make a place for
you to rest,
and I hold your broken body
in the open meadow.

What is it like?
My baby girl
to be buried
beneath such a field of beauty,
next to, the humble grave
of a bird
you once loved.

"Dark Love" (Written about a relationship I watched that had to fight against Bipolar disorder: Not my own relationship)

Love like a rose
does not exist
with you
with me
with me
everything is just a little harder
more difficult
more complex

because the part of me
that loves you
is the part of me
that falls apart on empty days
when sky's are grey
and the world seems just a little darker

darker love
is that what we called it?
when I fall apart
and hurt myself
and hurt you while
you protect me from my own nails

Is that what we call it
when you force
my gripping fingers apart
and remove them from my hair

Dark love
is that what we call it
when you hug me
just to keep my flailing arms
away from my blood and bruise stained face

Im not a bucket of rose petals
clear of thorns
maybe you are trying to remove them

Maybe our love
is found in your efforts
to hold me down
through the storm
and carry me through recovery

Dark Love,..
is that what they call it?
you don't seem so dark to me,
as you cradle and rock me
to sweeter sleep.

(Just for fun =) )

"Do Not Fear"

A beacon of light
That is what you are
Even in a fog
I can see you from a far

A dark angel is watching you
I reach out for your hand
If you grasp mine lightly
You will understand

Even an angel of death
Has a heart painted red
And the stone underneath
Has a beat, and has bled

My beacon of light
My white rose alive
I watch you from a far
I await your last cry

Can you love death
As you loved life
Can you wed the dark
As your glistening wife

Love me like you love life
Don’t hate me for watching you
I don’t mean to pry
I am awaiting your soul to make anew

Take my hand lightly
And you will understand
This moment I take you
Is your glass’s last sand

Follow me closely
As I draw you near
Up to the light
Let go of your fear

Feel free to comment about anything, but know that I find critique about the subject I am writing about useless. They maybe over done, but they are what I choose to write about. The more specific the critique the better.
