The year is 2145. Global warming has caused the artic flow to shift, encaseing the nothern and southern hemisphers in ice. Two factions have emerged, Union in the east, and empire in the west. Both have army's of mechs, giant robot war machines. Both sides figt for control over what land remains.

Bio- Ava grew up as an orphan. Her entire city was destroyed in the middle of a great battle. Leaving her with no place to go. She join the union for no specific at all. She did not like either side more at the time. Just wanted a place to stay and three meals a day. Seemed like a good deal. Now it is different though. Ava is working under Commander Worthington himself. She gives him the same respect he gives her. Though sometimes, she is a bit of a troublemaker.

Shaun led his platoon across the landscape. There had been reports that an empire caravan was moving through the area. Shaun radioed his second in comand. " Ava, are you picking up anything on radar?"

Ava yawned a bit while watching the horizon. These types of missions were always the worst. Lots of just walking around. Staring at nothing. Her commander came on the screen. She automatically snapped out of her board state and glanced at her radar. Sighing a bit. "Nothing Sir." She told him.

'Where am I?' Morbid asked himself as he stand in the middle of the Sahara Desert. 'Where is everybody?' as he look around his surroundings, 'Damn, they're all dead!'
he said as he saw dead bodies of his comrades, 'Must be the work of that Atomic Bomb..' he said as he walk in the great desert. 'My CommDev* is broken, how am I suppose to call the Army?' he muttered, then.......

*CommDev- Communication Device used by any soldier in war.

"Roger that." Shaun continued his scan of the area. He then picked up two enemy mechs escorting an empire caravan through a mountain pass. "Hostils at 2'o clock, prepare to engage."

"Roger that Sir" Ava replied as she started to hit a few buttons. She took hold of two joysticks to either side of her chair as she finally saw the two green dots on her radar. "Waiting for orders" She called over the intercoms between mechs.

Shaun armed his weapons. "Take out the mech guarding the rear, I'll take out the one in the front."

Ava nodded pressing a few buttons. She was very good when it came to sniper work. The one in the rear had a very easy target for a head also. It stuck right out in front of the body. She rose her gun up and waited a few precious seconds for the person to come right into her target view. Her thumb hovering right over the firing button. As he stepped, she inhaled and hit it. Blowing the head of the mech right off before exhaling again.

Shaun locked on to the lead mech with his long rang missiles. He knew this type of mech, and it's weak spots were easily visible. Shaun fired three missles, hitting the mech and blowing it to pieces.

Ava watched the show in front of her before leaning back in her seat. The tight pace started to grow uncomfortable each passing minute. You would think she would be used to it by now.

Shaun activated his 30mm cannon and gernade launcher, and took out the caravan. A signal then went off in his cockpit. "We've got 3 enemy mechs to the northeast. Let's move to intercept."

"There are so many so suddenly" Ava said to herself. The screen was off in front of her. She moved behind her commander. Watching her screens like a cat would a fish. Waiting for its chance to strike. Ava kept her laser gun out seeing as how she probably had the best chance with it for now.

Shaun moved until the 3 enemy mechs came into view. One giant mech and two smaller ones. "Ava, take out the small ones, the big one is mine."

"Yes sir!" Ava replied pressing a few buttons again. She switched to her mini missiles. Each located on either side of the mech's forearm. Her targeting system trapped the two. One shot to the left suddenly, firing back at Ava. A bullet striking her mech's armor. Cause a small amount of damage. She fired her missiles, hitting them both.

The large mech fired a missle at Shaun, and it stuck him in the leg, causing medium damage. Shaun flipped a switch and pressed a button. The chest plate on his mech opened up, reveiling a plasma cannon. It charged up and fired, hitting the enemy mech. The cannon had blasted a hole clean through the center of the enemy mech, which collapsed a seconed later.

Again Ava breathed deeply. The nano bot system in her mech started to repair itself. Something that was still a very new technology, therefore only a very mechs were upgraded with it. The worry of something bad happening always on the scientists mind. It did have it side effects too. Ava felt very lightheaded after long missions. This mission was not one of those though.

Shaun radioed Ava. "Alight, we're done in this area. Time to head back to base."

"Okay Sir. What is the plan when we get back there?" Ava asked turning her mech around and heading back in the direction they had come.

"Let our mechs repair themselves, go over a mission briefing, then grab a shower and some chow."

"Grab a shower?.. Is that an invitation?" Ava said deciding to cause some trouble.
