Ava smiled at his complaining. It was very funny how he was trying to lighten the situation. While still watching Shaun she told the doctor. "Test mine. I know I am O+"

The medic took a small sample and examined it. "Great news, your 0+." The medics took a pint of blood from Ava and injected it into Shaun. They then gave him a quick blast of radiation, and the onyx substance receted from his body. He was taken out of quarentine. A few hours later, Shaun awoke to see Ava watching over him. "Hey there, what I'd miss?"

Ava was snacking on a bag of chips. After giving him blood, she had to eat. Just a little at a time though. She looked up as Shaun woke up. "Your completely fine. That's all" she told him.

"You saved my life, I owe you for that." A smirk came over Shaun's face.

"you owe me nothing Shaun. You have saved mine plenty of times" Ava told him, moving her chair closer.

Shuan layed back in his bed. "This time, the empire has gone too far. It's time to strike at their capitol."

Ava looked at him wide-eyed. "That is just crazy Sir" She told him starting to look away. A smile came to her lips. "I like it... you need rest though."

Shaun smiled at Ava. "Alright, I'll get some rest. I like your new haircut by the way."

She nodded at him. Seeing him start to sleep. Ava sat with him for awhile, but soon had to get up and go to her own room. Finally, her own room. Ava laid down, falling right to sleep.

Shaun awoke the next morning. The medics looked him over and medicaly cleared him. He got dressed and went to have a meeting with High Command.

Ava woke up earlier than usual. She got changed into workout clothes and hit the gym. Even though it really did not take much strength to run a mech, she still liked to be in shape. The gym was already filled with people. Mostly foot soldiers. Ava found herself a punching bag which she started to practice on. Staying very light on her feet the entire time as she landed blows. Throwing the bag every which way.

Shaun enterd the gym, and started working the speed bag. He looked over at Ava. "Hey Ava, I need a sparring partner. You in?"

She slowed the punching bag down so it would not hit anyone. "Sure" She said to him laughing a bit. She made her way towards the small ring. It was blocked off from the rest of the room so no one would accidentally get punched.

Shaun got in the ring. He got Ava in a waist locke and took her down to the mat. "That's one point for me."

"unfair! I had my back turned" She said, waiting for an opening. Ava swung her legs, getting one around his side and pushed him down to the mat. Ava got on top of him and pinned him down. "Not we are even" She said flipping off of him. Landing a few feet away.

Shaun leaped to his feet. He got Ava with a single leg takedown, applying a full nelson. He released the hold. "2-1"

Ava brought her arms straight up, sliding underneath him. Just as she was about pin him, the red emergency lights started to go off. The base then started to shake with the sounds of explosions. 'What the?" Ava said getting her footing from the quake. an annoucemnt then came on, "Battle stations. We are under attack. Repeat, we are under attack" Ava turned to Shaun, "I'll tie this up later"

Shaun ran strait to his mech. He loaded up the weapons systems and walked out of the hanger. Ten empire helicarriers were dropping off mechs. Shaun opend fire with rockets, destroying one mech and damageing several others.

Ava ran to her mech. Enemies were firing at her as she ran along the walkway. She hoping inside of her mech and fired back. Finding out most of her ammo had not been loaded yet. "shit" She told herself searching her systems. Her mech's wrist gun had some in it. She fired, aiming right for the pilot seats of the ones Shaun damaged, taking them out. A few stray bullets came right through Ava's cockpit glass, missing her, but broken glass went everywhere around her. She could only hope they would not use chemicals.

Shaun basted several mechs at point blank with his 30mm cannon. He cut down others with his chainsaw sword. Shaun fired long range missles at one of the helicarriers, bringing it down.

Ava found she had a small pistol like gun for the mech. She started to fire as she felt a cloth go over her face. Instantly knocking her out. Everything went dark and the final thing she saw was an enemy foot solider.

Shaun looked over at Ava's mech, only to see her being loaded aboard an enemy hoverjet. He tried to run after her, but he was struck by an emp cannon, and renderd motionless. Shaun could only watch as Ava was carried away. "Ava!!!"

Ava awoke many hours later in a cell. With her were a few other men from the base. Most were still sleeping from the dose of chloroform. Ava watched as two guards and a well-dressed man stepped down the hallway. Stopping at her cell. "Second in command Ava Locke Sir" The told the well-dressed man. They opened the cell and pulled her out. Pushing her to the floor. The leader knelled down to her level. "Alright Ms Locke. You probably know formalities. We want to know the union's next plans. Weather that be the easy way, or the fun way." he looked down at Ava who was just glaring at him. "Speak" He told her. Waiting a few more seconds. "Rot in hell" She told him, getting punched hard in the cheek. knocking her onto her back. The union men still in their cells watched wide eyed. "Take her to the torture room. We need that information." The man told the two guards.

After the battle, Shaun marched into high command headquarters. "Sirs, the empire has gone to far. First the chemical attack and now this. several of my squadmates have been kiddnapped." Shaun was informed that a rescue mission was being put together to free the captives from the empire capitol. "I request that I lead the team, and that we activate the mech REX." The high command sat in silence. Rex was the most powerful mech the union had. 500 feet tall, a plasma torch that could cut through anything, guns, rockets, a rail gun for snipeing, and 16 nuclear tipped missles. They were hesitant, but they knew they would need the fire power to get into the capitol. High command approved Shaun's request. Rex was his.

Ava was brought into a dimly lighted room and sat down in a chair. There were small needles all along the chair. cutting her skin little by little all over the back of her body. Ava was tied down as they hooked wires up to her arms, legs, and chest. As a practice they sent a bolt up one wire on her arm. Forcing her to jump, and slice her arm even more from the needles. She was already bleeding, feeling the warm liquid along her back. The man from before stepped in front of her, sitting himself comfortably in a regular chair.

"how does it feel?" He asked her smirking. Only receiving another glare from Ava. The man continued, "It is a bit midevil, but it works... What is Commander Shaun Worthington next move?" Ava did not answer him. She felt another few shocks hit her body. Forcing a pained gasp from her lips.

"What is the union planning?" The man asked again. Repeating the process over what seemed to be painstaking hours for Ava. His asked her the same questions over and over. Never getting anything but a whimper from her. The man got frustrated and slammed his hand on the button, forcing a shock from every wire throughout her entire body. Making her scream from the pain.
