Elsa watched as he struck away the grenades. Kiro really was not too bad. He was having some fun also. Never a bed thing, but at the same time not really a good thing. All of the grenades came towards her. One struck her on the leg. She did not even flinch though hearing a loud metal on metal sound through the air. "Watch out. You can get in trouble if you hit someone depending on who it is." Elsa warned him. Typically, it was the person on the track's fault. They were not supposed to be on there in the first place while the warrior's were training. Still, hit the wrong person and your ass was in trouble.

Ava kissed him again. "Your so good to me" She told him sitting on the bed next to him. He read her like a book sometimes. "I wasn't feeling very good this morning, so I went to the doctors." Ava started to tell him, turning to face him with a small smile, "He told me I'm pregnant Shaun"

As Kiro ran his mech down the remainder of the track, the entire cock pit lit up with flashing red lights and alarms. When he looked down to the screen to see why the alarm was going off, the screen showed 'EMP Charge Within Range'. Without a moments hesitation, Kiro launched the mech into the air and over the area of effect from the EMP charge. When he landed, he kept running, laughing the whole way to the finish line of the track. When he reached Elsa, he opened the cock pit and stood up from the seat,"So, how'd I do?"

Shaun sat up. A big smile cameove his face. He wrapped his arm around Ava, hugging her tightly. "Oh babey this is wonderful! I am so excited! I love you so much. We are going to make great parents, and and you are going to be a wonerful mom!" Tears of joy ran down Shaun's face, as he kissed Ava.

Elsa looked down at an automatic timer. It showed it had taken him about five minutes to get around the track. It was a very good time for someone just starting. Still, Elsa decided to mess with his head a bit. "It is not too bad. Still, beginners mode is never very hard. How are you holding up?" Elsa asked, looking up at the cockpit.

Ava smiled as Shaun sat up. The doctor would kill him if he saw Shaun doing so. This was an important time though. Ava hugged him back. Not as hard, but just enough to not hurt him. Ava wiped the small tears from his eyes. Something that was rare for even him. She cupped his face. "I was worried about telling you to be honest." She told him, "I am glad your so happy."

"Ava, there's no need to be worried. This the greatest news of my life." Shaun layed back down, still woozey from the pain killers. "I'm just so glad that I finaly have a family."

Ava laid down next to him. Knowing that is what he would want just then. She moved herself so Shaun could easily caress her stomach if he wanted. "I am too. He or she will be probably one of the most spoiled kids out there" Ava laughed a bit. Something then hit her, "I will have to leave the military, right? or at least stop fighting in the front lines... That is alright." She told herself outloud.

"You don't have to leave the military. You can take a leave of absence, but the final decison is of coures yours." Shaun ran his fingers through Ava's hair, and kissed her on the cheek.

Kiro cocked an eyebrow and jumped down from the cock pit, landing before Elsa. He stretched his legs and stood straight up,"It runs pretty smooth. The shields need to be enhanced and it needs wings, other than that, it's great." He turned around to look at the mech. The left forearm had small, but noticeable dents in it.

The next day, Shaun was outfitted with a robotic arm. It was made of titanium, and had sensers that allowed him to feel touch, as well as hot and cold. Shaun also recieved a robotic eye, which gave him perfect vision. It was chrome colored on the the outside, and the pupil was a bright sapphire blue.

Elsa nodded, taking careful notes of what he said. She honestly hated having to almost serve him, and longed for the days of being in his shoes. Her legs permitted her from doing so though. "Alright. I'll get to it later today. No wings though. It is not needed." Elsa said taking a walk around the mech. Examining it fully. "A set of wings would only weigh it down. Making it much harder to control if caught by wind." She explained basically.

Ava came into the room a bit later. She was forced to leave after Shaun had fallen asleep the previous night. She watched as the doctor ran through his normal excises when it came to fitting for a robotic arm. "How are you feeling today Shaun?" Ava asked him. She had a small bag with her, which she started to open. Pulling out a small take out meal. "I figured you may like some real food. Instead of Hospital mush."

Shaun looked over at Ava and smiled. "I'm feeling great. But your the one who needs to eat. Your eating for two now." He placed his robotic hand on Ava's belly. "I'm so happy that we're going to be parents."

Ava laughed as she pulled a second meal out. "I have my food too." She jumped a bit at the sudden coldness on her belly. She leaned over and kissed him, taking a seat next to him on the bed. "I know. I am so excited. I have to go see the doctor again tomorrow. Just for a check up." Ava told him while opening both the small boxes. Just simple burgers were found in both. With a few fries.

Shaun dug in. He was sick of hospital food. "So have you thought of some names for our baby?"

Kiro shrugged,"Alright, I guess I'll have to live without the wings, fine by me." He started loosening the shoulder straps to his mech suit, to give him some more comfort. He looked up at the sky, not a single cloud was there and there were flocks of birds that flew by every few minutes or so. He looked back down at Elsa,"Did the commander call for me while I was out there?"

Elsa came around to the front. She wanted to yell at him for getting it so damaged already, but didn't. "No calls. I could only guess he would contact you directly. I'm not your secretary" Elsa stuck her tongue out at him and laughed. "Let's head back inside. Maybe there is a message for you."

Ava shook her head. "We don't even know what gender he or she is. Do you have any in mind?"

"If it's a boy, Jason. If it's a girl, Sara." Shaun put his arm around Ava's shoulder." Have you thought about what you want to do? Stay in the military or leave?"

Kiro nodded,"Alright. I'm just kinda anxious for my first assignment." He was truly excited for his first assignment, he just hoped it wasn't something trivial. He started heading back for his room, then realized he had no clue where he was going. When Elsa had brought him out to the track, he was more sightseeing than memorizing where he was going. He turned around to face her, with his hand on the back of his head and a wide toothy grin set on his face,"So, um, can you lead me back to my room?"

Elsa started to laugh harder as he started to walk the other way. She took him by the hand and pulled him towards the elevator. Pressing the number 5. All the while explaining in great details how to find his way back. Mostly being a smart ass. "...You have to press the button! not just tap it..." She brought him down the hall to his room. Taking the key card from his hand and swiping it. "And this is your room." Elsa finally finished.

"I know I can not be a mech warrior anymore. I already got the letter this morning about it... I also don't want to leave you to care for us all" Ava said softly while reaching into her pocket and pulling out the letter. It was just stating she had to take a forced leave for the front lines due to the baby.

Shaun brought Ava closer. "It'll be alright. You need the time off. You've deserved it. And the union always provides for service members with families." He kissed her on the cheek.

Kiro gave Elsa a mocking laugh when they finally got to his room,"I think I can handle opening a door and pressing a button in an elevator." Just as he spoke, he walked into the door, without realizing it hadn't opened. He glared at Elsa,"Not a word." Walking inside his room, he rubbed his head from where it had hit the door.

"I know. Its going to be boring though" Ava playfully complained as he kissed her.

Elsa held in her laughter as he hit the door. Though, it was very hard to. She smiled at him, handing the key back to him as she walked right into his room. Going over to a pad of paper on his desk. "I am giving you my room number and the phone there." She paused for a minute, "..and the one down at the hanger bay. Just call if you get yourself stuck somewhere" Elsa told him as she turned too fast. A small metal grinding sound came from her. "That doesn't sound too good.." Elsa told herself before walking out. "See you at dinner!" She finally called from down the hall.

"Just as long as you and the child are safe. That's all that matters to me." Shaun kissed Ava again, then got up. "I'm going down to the fireing range to test out my new arm and eye."

Kiro scratched his head as Elsa left without explaining what that noise was, but he let the thought drop. He walked over to the phone and checked the messages. The only one of any importance was that the Empire had attacked a Union base and was driven back and forced to retreat,'Those Union guys must be pretty good if they were able to fend off a surprise attack.' He looked at the clock and noticed he had a few hours before 'dinner' was supposed to be served, so he decided to take a shower and get some sleep.

"Alright. I will.. just go back to the room. I'm a bit sleepy" Ava told him. She kissed him and headed back to their room where she relaxed on the bed. She was feeling a bit sick also, though that was starting to become a normal thing.

Elsa head back down to the hanger bay where she took a seat. "I knew I rushed this before." She told her superior as he pulled both her pant legs up, revealing two robotic legs. One seemed to be just starting to rust from age. "You really need a new set Elsa." He told her watching over her shoulder. Elsa picked a wrench up and started to tighten a few bolts before standing back up. "Few more pay checks and I can get a new set. I decided to upgrade to the stainless steel plates. I have to work on the mech now though." She told him before walking over to the mech and starting work.

Shaun arived at the fireing range. He ested his arm with pistols, rifles, even a .50 Sniper rifle. The arm held up realy well, especially when it came to holding back recoil. And his robotic eye had a zoom feature, pus allowed him to see in the dark. Shaun went back to the room and found Ava asleep on the bed. He layed down next to her, placeing his hand on her belly. He was so proud to be a father.
