Shaun layed next to Ava. "You were awesome, as always" he said with a smile. He kissed her on the cheek.

"You ware me out!" Ava said out of breath. It made her laugh how Shaun never seemed tired now.

Shaun wrapped his arms around Ava. Tomorrow was going to big a big day.

Ava turned onto her side. Just in time to see two little figured crawl into the room giggling. "Jason? Sara?" Ava sat up, covering herself from the cold. Making sure she was really seeing them.

"What is it hon?" Shaun looked over and saw the twins. "How did they get out of they're crib?"

Ava got up, and picked them both up. Looking into their room. The crib was untouched. "Climbing maybe? They are way too young for that though." Ava started to look into the room more.

Shaun took Jason, and looked him over. "Jason seems ok, how doe's Sara look?"

Ava turned a side table light on and looked her over. Sara was just giggling up a storm. Ava laughed also. "Little troublemakers. She is alright." Still Ava was a bit worried. There were horror stories of mutations devolving when there were so many chemicals in the air. Ava was in the base for most of her pregnancy. "I'll set an appointment up with the doctor. See what he has to say. Next week sometime maybe." She said standing back up.

"There's a doctor here at the base. I'll set up an apointment for tomorrow." Shaun went to the phone and made a call. "The doctor says he can see the twins at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, so we should get some rest. Shaun put the twins back in their crib.

"What if they crawl out again?" Ava asked him getting back into bed. "Nevermind, you will hear them." Ava said laying down next to him. Ava was glad to have Shaun. He always took care of them, and kept her calm. Ava knew her worrying ad to get on his nerves most of the time.

Shaun slept lightly, hearing for the twins to try and crawl out again. The next morning, he woke up and got ready for his mission. He also woke up Ava. "Wake up honey, the twins have a doctors appointment this morning."

Ava yawned and got up. Getting dressed herself. The Twins were not awake yet though. Ava went into their room and picked them both up, putting them into their stroller both sleeping. Jason woke up and saw Shaun. He started to get excited, and kick. "Such a funny guy. Wish daddy luck today." Ava said. Going to kiss Shaun.

Shaun kissed Ava. "I love you." He then went over and kissed Jason and Sara. "You two behave yourselves for mommy, ok?"

Ava watched Jason still bounce around, waking Sara finally. "They will be tired by the time you get back today. Give the Empire a kiss for me, Will you?" Ava asked him

"You can count on it" Shaun said with a wink. Shaun headed for the main hanger. The Rex's right arm had been replaced with a diamond drill that fired a high velocity laser. The plan was to use a computer virus to shut down the force feild, then use the drill to open up a venting shaft, and fire a missle at the flying fortreses core.

Ava headed to the doctor's office where she let the kids out to play. The doctor came out and watched them for a bit before bring them out back to the room. He looked at Jason first, took some blood and gave him his shots, then did the same for Sara. Ava had to calm them both down since they were crying. But the doctor spoke over them, telling her what he thought was happening to them. He also assured Ava it was nothing to worry about, at least for now.

Shaun boarded the Rex and took off. He looked at the pictures of Ava and the twins. The fortress came into view. Shaun landed as the fortress opened fire. The Rex held up against the assault. Shaun began to upload the computer virus.

Ava brought the twins down the the playing room she had been in yesterday. They would tire themselves out soon enough. They both played with the bigger kids today. Ava kept her eyes closely on them. Seeing as how today one little boy was playing ruffly.

Shaun finished uploading the virus, and the shields went down. Shaun activated the drill and started opening the vent. Just then, thousands of robotic drones swarmed out of the fortress, attacking the Rex.

She watched as the troublemaker picked a rattle off the ground, whipping it at Sara's head. Ava walk over to her and picked her up. Seeing a large bruise begin to form. Jason came over to them, and Ava brought them back to their room to calm Sara down.

The drones bombbarded the Rex. Shaun held them off with the weapons system. He was able to open up the vent. Shaun then fired several missiles into the core, and took off. The fortress exploded from the inside out, fire bursting from every opening. Shaun radioed command. "HQ, mission complete. Tell my family they can head home. Our real home. I'll meet them there."

Ava answered the door to two soldiers. Informing her she could start to head home. Ava packed, while having to calm a still crying Sara down. The soldiers helped her carry the bags while they were loaded into a shuttle with a few other families. Sara and Jason both fell asleep after a while. They got home after a few hours where Ava set them down to play in the living room. She could not wait for Shaun to come home.

Shaun landed the Rex at HQ, and instantly headed home. He opend the front door and embraced Ava in his arms, kissing her deeply. "So, how are our little angels? did the doctor give them a thumbs up?"

Ava hugged Shaun hard and kissed him. "They are great. The doctor things they are just going through a mutation. One most babies suffer from now. They should grow out of it. But they will pretty much learn to do things much faster until two." Ava told him. Happy everyone was alright, at least for the most part. Sara started to cry again as her head hurt. Ava went to pick her up. Rocking her. "Some bastard's child whipped a rattle at her today." Ava showed him the bump on her head.

"Here, let me have a look." Shaun took Sara in his arms. "Shhh, it's ok my little angel. everythings going to be alright." Shaun gently rocked Sara to calm her down. "Give me the mother's name, I'll have demoted."
