"So that's where you got Yana's name," Jonouchi said. Yugi sighed.

"I'll go get the cake," Selena typed. She then headed to the small kitchen to get the chocolate-strawberry swirl cake with fudge frosting. And now for the sugar rush... She thought as she emerged.

"We were great friends when we were at High School in America. She was sad when I left, but on one of Pegasus's business trips, he took Yana with him and we were reunited for that visit, hence the photos and the painting" Ashleigh explained.

"What ever happened to her?" Bakura asked.

"I don't know. I have no idea where she is. We keep in contact but since she's the Vice President of I2, she hardly has the time to write, let alone paint" Ashleigh said.

"Sounds like she's got a bit ball of stress on her shoulders." Melhana said, sitting down beside Bakura. "What'd she say when you told her you'd named Yana after her?"

"She was honnoured. She was my first best friend ever, till Selena came along. It was her that introduced me to Yugi and the gang" Ashleigh replied.

"And you'll always be a part of it, you can count on it." Yugi said. "That's why Melhana gave each of us one of these pendants." He pointed to his own cartouche-shaped dog tags.

Ashleigh nodded as she put her on. Then she had a look at the photo album. In there was all the pictures from when She joined the group.
"I wish my aunty was here to see this" Ashleigh said.
"Ashleigh, my beautiful neice, it's time to tell them" Max said.
"You sure?" Ashleigh asked.

"It would be nice," Melhana said.

Just then Selena exited the kitchen. 'I got the cake!' She linked to anyone able to use mindlink.

"Jonouchi, no. Same for you Honda." Melhana said when she saw Jonouchi and Honda drooling over the fudge-frostinged cake. "Wait for your share. The rest of us want some too."

"Oh yum! Ashleigh said as the cake was put in front of the presents.

"Chocolate swirl with strawberries mixed in, and fudge frosting." Selena typed.

Ashleigh smiled a real smile.
"I really wished Max was here to see this" she said, hoping somebody has caught on.

"What do you mean?" Yugi asked.

"You know I mean. I told you when Max was trying to recriut me and I said no the first time" Ashleigh replied.

Yugi nodded. "Yeah," He said.

Selena handed Ashleigh the cake knife. "It's your birthday, so you should cut the cake." She typed on her phone.

Ashleigh took the knife, scrunched her face up, and cut the cake. Then she cut it to peices.
"Yay mum!" Yana said!

"Why were you wishing that Max was here, Ashleigh?" Bakura asked as Selena started handing out cake.

'Are you ever going to make the announcement?' He asked Melhana through mindlink.

'Naw, not here. This is Ashleigh's day, not ours.' Melhana replied.

"There is a few reasons why I created Hikari. I told you most of the reasons. There is one I didn't tell you guys, all except for Yugi" Ashleigh replied.

"What is it?" Melhana asked, taking the slice of cake that Selena offered her. Jonouchi promptly decimated his, getting frosting all over his face. "Jonouchi, there's something called a fork. And a napkin."

"You know the no family rule right?" Ashleigh asked the group.

Everyone around the room nodded. "That's why you created Hikari," Yugi said. "You wanted to be a part of Omega, but because we were getting married..."

"No, you know the other reason about Max and myself" Ashleigh said.

Yugi was confused at first, but moments later it dawned on him. "You and Max were...related?" He asked.

"No wonder Max always seemed uber-worried about her," Melhana said.

"I can't believe you forgotten about it Yugi, and yes. Max is my aunty. Because of that, I have to create Hikari because of it. This is the main reason I created Hikari" Ashleigh replied.

"Then Max's death must've hit you especially hard," Melhana said quietly.
