"I see," Sora replied. "I heard about what happened to Kasanagi, too. I stopped by the hospital before heading here. She's not too happy, to put it lightly."

Yugi drew. He grinned. "I summon Skilled Dark Magician in Attack mode!" He said. Selena narrowed her eyes. Yeah, I'm making this into a battle bewteen Spellcasters. Yugi thought. "Skilled Dark Magician, attack her Blast Magician!"

Selena activated one of her face-downs....and it was destroyed immediately. Yugi had flipped his face-down up as well; Thousand Knives. "You can't activate any face-downs until next turn, Sakura." He said. The attack went through, though it didn't damage her Life Points. (Sakura LP: 1700) "I end my turn with a face-down and end."

"I was nearly got shot down too, which I have no idea why" Yana sighed as the crew messed around with her.

"That makes two of us," Sora said. Her eyes flashed momentarily gold, then back to their normal brown. "I'm gonna go get changed before I head up to the stands though; I really smell in this suit."

Selena drew. I'll have to be careful of the spell cards I activate now. She thought, remembering Skilled Dark Magician's effect. She had a couple copies in her own deck, after all. He's trying to summon his Dark Magician, I know it. In that case... She pointed from her Chaos Sorcerer to Skilled Dark Magician, intending to use her monster's effect. Yugi had other plans.

"I activate Rebound!" Yugi announced. "Your sorcerer's effect is thrown back at himself, meaning he's the one taken out of play."

Selena scowled as she removed her card from her Duel Disk and slipped it into a pocket. She ended with a face-down monster.

"Ok. I hope you will watch the concert!" Yana said, as her hair was put in a bun kind of hairstyle.

"Don't worry, I will." Sora replied.

The alarm at Kaimiri's waist went off. That girl must have gotten through the private circuit, he thought as he got up from the library. It looks like I'll have to take more precautions to keep her under control.

He strode to the lift and keyed in the floor he wanted to go to. This time, he was going to make sure that she stayed under control.

((nabbing Kaimiri))
By the time Kaimiri reached the cell, the laptop was closed and outside the cell. He glared at the girl.
"I guess you didn't know that Kaiba taught me to configure any sort of circuits to what I want, including private circuit. I didn't want to watch the duel anyway since I know who wins. Even though I can't use my powers on you, I can still use it for my own benefits. And I saw you giving me the laptop too. So thank you for the communication" Ashleigh said.
"I should've known how foolish of me. But you should know better not to tamper..." Kaimiri started to say.
"You should've know to trust somebody who was the right hand girl of Kaiba Corps, who got taught these things" Ashleigh spat.

Kaimiri scowled. He snapped his fingers, and the chains once again bound Ashleigh's wrists to the wall. "You know, I'm geniuinely tempted to take that Shard your body houses right now." He said in a dangerously quiet voice.

Yugi drew. "I play Pot of Greed," He began, drawing the two cards. One of the sigils on Skilled Dark Magician started to glow. "Next I activate Swords of Revealing Light," He added, causing Sakura to flip her face-down monster face-up; Mythical Beast Cerberus. A second sigil lit up. "And last, I play Golden Sarcophagus, which allows me to select one card and neither of us can use it." The third sigil lit up at the last spell card.

"Now, I'm quite sure I don't need to explain Skilled Dark Magician's effect to you, Sakura." Yugi said. "So I'll activate it. I sacrifice Skilled Dark Magician and three spell counters to summon the Dark Magician! I'll also equip him with the Book of Secret Arts, to bring his attack up by 300 points. Dark Magician, attack her Mythical Beast Cerberus!" The monster was destroyed, but once again Sakura's Life Points remained untouched.

"I end." Yugi said.

"Do your worst" Ashleigh spat, knowing the outcome for speaking like that.

"As you wish," Kaimiri said. He spoke several lines in an ancient language, older than Atlantis and since forgotten. As he did so, the girl's eyes wend blank and her body went limp. He'd placed her under a controlling enchantment. "Now, you'll be the one to kill those closest to you, and you'll be helpless to stop it."

"Yes master" Ashleigh said without any feeling at all, "I do as you wish so desire."

The corner of Kaimiri's mouth twitched up in satisfaction. "Just wait here, until I have plans for you." He said. With that he left, leaving the girl alone in her cell.

Selena drew. She smiled. 'About time you brought out your ace, Yugi.' she linked.

'I'm just wondering when you'll do the same.' Yugi replied. Selena grinned as she saw the card she'd drawn.

'Hah! You'll see my ace soon enough!' She replied. She played the ritual spell Black Chaos Ritual, and sent Tsukuyomi and Skilled White Magician to the Graveyard. The spellcaster known as Sorcerer of Black Chaos emerged ont he field, his arms crossed and staring down the Dark Magician.

She then played Card of Sanctity to replenish her hand. She played Polymerization right after, fusing Magician of Black Chaos with her own Dark Magician, which brought out her ace card; Black Requiem Magician. She ended her turn, as she couldn't attack yet.

Aka's eyes went black. No one noticed untill Yusei spotted her not moving. Melhana was the second to notice and so on and so forth.
"Any idea how she ended up like that?" Max asked.

Kaimiri was on the way back to the libaray until.....
"KAIMIRI!!!!!!!!!!"

"I have no idea, but I know it's not good." Jonouchi replied.

"I know." Melhana said. "Someone's done something to Ashleigh. Some kind of enchantment, if I had to hazard a guess."

"And what would bring you here, dark Ashleigh?" Kaimiri said. "Aren't you supposed to be masqerading as your light half?"

"I was until my eyes turned black! What did you do this time?" Dark Ashleigh asked, pointing to her now black eyes.

"We have to get her somewhere and fast. Jonouchi, take her to the competitors lounge and fast. I got something for you if you succeed" Max ordered, then turned to Yusei.
"Do you know what happened?" she asked him.

"I put an enchantment over the girl," Kaimiri replied. "She's now under my control. However, that doesn't affect you."

"Right," Jonouchi said. "Help me get her to the lounge, Melhana."

"Got it," Melhana replied. Together the two got the girl to the competetor's lounge.

Yusei didn't answer the question right away. "Ankh is right," He said softly. "Ashleigh's been put under some sort of enchantment. I can't tell what kind, not until I get back."

"I know that, but this is the second time. Are you forgetting that I'm a part of the girl?" Dark Ashleigh asked.

"Well, that's a start. The mages can do a scan of her" Max said, getting up, then headed to the snack bar.

"No, I have not forgotten." Kaimiri replied.

"Then can you please fix it? This is going to be pretty annoying. Plus Ashleigh is having a "holiday" for a year, which is so going to be easy since the shards aren't going to this coronation thing. Meaning, we can capture them plus Ankh at one go!" Dark Ashleigh explained.

Kaimiri snapped his fingers, and dark Ashleigh's eyes returned to their normal color. "I know that. However, there is a reason I put the girl under the enchantment that I did." he replied.

"Let me guess. You want the ones who want to rescue her out of the way right?" Dark Ashleigh asked.

Kaimiri smiled. "Precisely." He replied.

Yugi drew. Black Requiem Magician...I wonder where Selena got that card? Yugi thought. He's got 3400 attack power, up against my Dark Magician's 2800. I'm going to have to find a way to beat that, before she wipes me out. He looked at the card he just drew. And this should do it.

"I play the spell card, Exchange!" Yugi said. "Now we both have to look at each other's hands and pick a card."

Selena chose her card first--Dark Mirror Force. Yugi chose Selena's Metalmorph card, and his friend's face remained stone-cold passive. They returned to their positions once the swap was done.

"I now activate Metalmorph and equip it to my Dark Magician!" Yugi said. "Dark Magician, attack Sakura's Black Requiem Magician!"

The armor-clad mage attacked the magician on Selena's side of the field, when Selena activated one of her face-downs; Negate Attack. Yugi retaliated with his face-down; Remove Trap. "Sorry, Sakura, but your mage is going to the graveyard."

Selena shook her finger in front of her face at Yugi. She activated the effect of her mage, which allowed her to negate one attack as long as she took one card in her graveyard out of play. Dark Magician's attack was negated, and Black Requiem Magician was left standing. (Sakura LP: 2600)

"I end mu turn with another face-down." Yugi said.

"Well, if you're lucky, you might get her Yami too under that enchantment since they're connected" Dark Ashleigh said.

"That will make our job that much easier." Kaimiri said. "What do you think are the chances of her yami dying once we get the girl's heart?"

Selena drew. She still had three face-downs, plus her mage's effect. Either way, she now had a challenge on her hands when it came to taking out Yugi's monster and winning the duel. She still couldn't attack, so she decided to use one of her remaining two face-downs; Lightning Vortex.

"Face-down activate; Spell Shield Type-8!" Yugi countered. The effect of Selena's Lightning Vortex was negated and the card destroyed. Selena set a face-down and ended her turn.

"That is really hard to predict in this point of time. But we will see when the time comes" Dark Ashleigh said.

When Melhana and Jonouchi came back, Max handed the girl a bag of chips and the boy Nachos, the thing that he was originally going to buy.
"There you go" Max said.

"Uh, thanks." Melhana replied as Jonouchi started scarfing the nachos. She sighed. "Do you ever stop eating?"
