"I'll do that," Yugi replied. "As long as my family's safe, then I'm happy."

"Thanks. But don't bring anything else though. Might gain attention" Aka said.

"I won't," Yugi replied. "I just hope that Ashleigh hasn't decided to change the locks on me."

Selena held back a laugh. "That would end rather badly for you." She said.

"Shut up." Yugi replied.

"Just get some rest and go tomorrow. Goodness knows if her aura is back to normal" Aka said. Everyone agreed.

"It sure didn't feel back to normal to me," Yugi said.

"Me neither," Selena agreed. "Something's messed with her aura. But what?"

Yugi yawned and nodded. "Yeah," he said. "It's what, after two a.m.?"

The next morining, after packing more boxes and using a teleportation spell, Yugi took Yana back to their place.
"Dad, where are you taking me?" Yana asked, confused.

"I figured that you'd be safest at home," Yugi replied. He squeezed her shoulder comfortingly. "I'll be placing protective enchantments around the house so that you and your mom will be safe." He smiled at her. "I also don't want to risk Max recruiting you. Your mother and myself are the only ones who should be risking our lives in Omega, not you."

"Hey!" Selena called to Atem, who was outside of Kaiba's hospital room. "How's the swirling mass of ego doing?"

"Oh? Is it because of the no family rule?" Yana asked.

"Well, I told him that there is a way to have a new arm, and he took it really well. What about Yusei? How's he going?" Atem replied, "I keep hearing him scream during the night. I'm not sure if it was bugs or the treatment."

Yugi nodded. "I'm not entirely sure if Max'll abide by that though," he said.

---

"The treatment," Selena replied. "He's unconcious now; the doctors had to put him on life-support though. Aki's with him now."

"Well, I don't want to be part of the federation anyway dad. Too much pressure" Yana replied, as they walked up the path to the door.

"Well, that makes Yusei out of the final raid" Atem said, then sighed.

Yugi smiled softly. "That's a relief," he said. He unlocked the door and stepped in. Here's hoping that we don't meet up with Ashleigh pissed with a baseball bat.

"We don't know that for sure," Selena said.

Instead of baseball bat, there was a nice smell coming from the kitchen. There was no boxes lying around and a huge pile of mail was on the table with a calculator, pen, and paper.
"Wow. Didn't expect this" Yana said.

"So what are we going to do for three weeks?" Atem asked.

"Train, that's the only thing I can think of." Selena replied. "Aki's still got a long way to go, both as a mage and a psychic."

Yugi blinked. His stomach growled at the scent coming from the kitchen, reminding him that he hadn't eaten since breakfast the previous day. "Ashleigh?" He asked tenatively.

"Yeah, that will keep us busy for a while" Atem said.

"I'm in the kitchen"Ashleigh yelled.

"That, and the rest of the Signers' training." Selena replied. "Melhana's working with Jack right now. She got word that he summoned his ka for the first time."

Yugi made his way to the kitchen. "Does this mean you're still pissed at me?" He asked.

"That's exellent. At least Jack's on track" Atem said, "but if you ask me, Aki doesn't want to become a mage. I know, I asked."

---

"Hell no. I need to get out of there, that's all" Ashleigh replied, and she took out three plates.

"That's good," Yugi said. "I'm going to be putting some protective enchantments around the house so that you and Yana will be safe."

---

"I know," Selena replied. "But still, having a basic control over her magic is a good thing. Her psychic power is another matter alltogether." She slid her hands into her pockets. "I haven't seen anyone with that much psychic power. It's amazing if you ask me."

"Already done that this morning, with an extra angelic enchantment for good luck" Ashleigh said, dishing up, "And after breakfast, I'm going to work out how much we need to pay for the bills."

"She told me that she has control over them. And she wants to stay by Yusei's side during the raid" Atem said.

Yugi wiped a hand across his brow. "It's amazing how things so mundane can still go on when there's a nutcase trying to destroy the world," he said.

"And I don't blame her." Selena replied. I just hope that she'll be able to.

"You tell me. I mean, why didn't we thought of this in the first place. I just hope that I can last three weeks here" Ashleigh replied, "but to ensure that it works, I need no contact, including mindlinks, phone calls and visits. I can't risk anyone intercepting anything."

"And I'm uber worried about Ashleigh. Were you able to calm her down last night?" Atem asked. He hated it when he was down on the bottom with so much weight on him and wasn't able to see the whole situation let alone hearing it.

Selena shook her head. "She went back home, still mad from what I could see." She replied. "Yugi left a little bit ago to drop Yana off there too, to keep her out of the line of fire."

"Right," Yugi replied. He leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. "Just...stay safe. If not for my sake, but for Yana's as well."

"You think it was a good idea for her to do that?" Atem asked.

"I will. Now, you staying for breakfast or what?" Ashleigh asked.

"I'm not sure," Selena replied. "Ashleigh's one of few people I can read. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

Yugi nodded. "I like your cooking better than the food at Omega," he said.

"You're right about that" Atem sighed.

---

"One of the reasons why I came back here" Ashleigh said as she was dishing up.

Selena nodded. "I'm going to go check on Aki, to see how she's coping wth Yusei's condition." She said. She turned away and waved before heading down the hall.

Yugi sat down at the table as breakfast was being dished up. "I can't remember the last time any of us had anything other than Omega's food." He said.
