Kaimiri nodded. "You have a plan for it?" He asked.

"When goody-two shoes wasn't looking, I snuck back on the necklace, meaning we still have our dark angel" Dark Ashleigh replied, "that means, she will be doing your dirty work for now and won't remember a thing."

Kaimiri smiled. "Excellent," he replied.

"And i can use it now" Dark Ashleigh said and hold the band tightly.

Suddenly, Ashleigh fell on her knees, clutching her head.
"No, no, no1 Get out of my head!" she cried.

"Ashleigh!" Yugi cried. He went to his wife and held her shoulders. "Ashleigh, what's going on?"

Aki.... Yusei thought. He could feel her holding his hand, but it was as if he was detached from his body. He was weak...so weak. I'm...sorry.... He felt himself fading. He used the last of his strength to send Aki a last message.

'I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise...'

"Please no more!" Ashleigh cried. Then the whole room filled with negative energy, blowing Yugi back. Ashleigh stood up as the dark angel she was before.

Aki popped her head up and saw the heart monitor with one long line. Then her eyes filled up with tears.
"NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" she cried, causing the paramedics to rush in.

"What's wrong?" One of the paramedics asked. He didn't need much of an answer. "Get the heart jumper ready, NOW!"

The order was already being taken care of. The paramedic who issued the order opened the hospital shirt and took the jumper. "Clear!" one of the nurses said. He placed the jumper on Yusei's chest. Nothing.

"Clear!" Another shock. Still nothing.

"Clear!" For the third time, Yusei's heart failed to start.

"Clear!" A small blip, then it flatlined again.

"Clear!" The paramedic gave Yusei's heart one final shock. Again it didn't take. He hung his head.

Selena, Kaiba, and Ruby looked up when they heard Aki's scream. "What was...?" Kaiba started.

"No...Aki..." Selena said. She shot up and left the room, heading for Yusei's room. Kaiba followed, albeit a short way after. Followed by Ruby.

Selena was barely aware of Kaiba nearly bumping into her. The trio had gotten there just in time for the paramedic to say four final words:

"Yusei Fudo is dead."

"But he was thriving a few minutes ago" Ruby said as she did an angel scan. Then she took a few steps back.
"The wound was too great. There was no way it would've healed" she said as a doctor placed a clean white towel over Yusei's face. Aki was still crying, her body over his.

"Aki..." Selena said. She stepped over to Aki and placed a hand on the girl's shoulder in comfort. Her body was shaking with the sobs. "I'm so sorry...." She whispered.

She truly was in love with him, Selena thought. She looked to the towel covering Yusei's face. A pang went through her own heart when she knew that his eyes would never open again. All of us...we've just lost a friend today.

"Why did you have to go Yusei? Why?" Aki cried.
"There is one thing we could try, but it's really risky. More risky than a simple revival" Ruby said.

"What is it?" Selena asked, her hand still on Aki's shoulder.

"You have to wait and find out. The angels are working on it right now. Even I don't know what the operation is called" Ruby replied, "but Yusei will return, you can count on it."

Selena looked back to Aki. "I hope you're right..." she replied.

Yugi coughed as he got up from the ground. Black wings were sprouting from Ashleigh's back again. She'd been turned into a dark angel. "No..." he said, dumbfounded.

Aki looked up at Selena.
"What are we going to do now?" she asked through the tears.

---

"And now let the fun begin" Dark Ashleigh said, and put up a screen.

---

"You're going down" Ashleigh said, and blasted Yugi against the wall.

Selena looked the girl in the eyes. "We wait, I guess." She said softly.

---

"Gah!" Yugi slammed into the wall. He felt something warm trickle down the back of his neck. "Here we go again," he muttered. "Yana, get outside. Now."

Yana nodded, and ran outside.
"Now it's you and me" Ashleigh said, and got her hands formed, getting ready to form yet another blast.

Yugi put up another shield...and added something else to it. How did they...wait, she's got that choker on again! He thought. So the one she had before was a fake.

"After this and you become weak, I'm going to rip your heart out" Ashleigh said, blasting Yugi again, breaking through the shield.

"WAUGH!" Yugi was thrown back again. "I won't let you..." He said. He held his hand out and hardened his aura into a pair of gauntlets, and a sword.

"Oh, then try me" Ashleigh said, preparing a shield.

"This is going to be good" Dark Ashleigh said, sitting beside Kaimiri.

"You don't need to tell me twice." Yugi replied, coming at Ashleigh.

---

"That it will," Kaimiri replied.

---

Max came running into the room. "I was just alerted to what happened." She said. Her eyes fell on the towel covering Yusei's face. "Then...he couldn't be saved..."

As like she did before, Ashleigh flew up, dodging the attack.
"Is that all you got?" she sneared.

---

"That's correct, but he will return" Ruby replied.

"When?" Max asked. Her gaze then finally found Kaiba. "And what the hell're you doing out of bed?! You just lost your arm!"

Kaiba looked away. "Hmph." was his only reply.

---

"Far from it." Yugi replied, delving into his own power. Down in its depths, he found the angel power. A pair of snow-white wings unfurled from his back, and he took to the air as well. "Ashleigh, snap out of this! It's that coker that's making you act this way!"

"That I don't know" Ruby replied.

---

"It's not" Ashleigh said, and charged towards Yugi.

Max nodded. "But he will come back...soon, I hope." She said, though a trace of sadness could be heard in her voice. Whether it was geniune or not was impossible to tell.

---

Yugi blocked the attack. "Fine then. I'll show you." He said, placing both hands on the choker. He started pumping his power through it to shatter it...

...until a shock vaulted through it, blasting Yugi through the window. He fell to the ground, out cold.
