Ashleigh flew down.
"Now to take out your heart so you will never walk on the earth again" she said.

"Like the new additon to the choaker?" Dark Ashleigh said, "And should we let her rip his heart out?"

Yugi fought his way back to conciousness. Damn...this is it... he thought. Just as Ashleigh reached down to rip out his heart, she was blocked by a large blade.

The Silent Swordsman had come to protect his master.

"It looks like taking his heart will be harder than that." Kaimiri replied.

"Well, at least it proves that she can do way more harm" Dark Ashleigh said, "But I guess I don't want her to kill anyone. Not just yet" and she placed the wristband on the table nest to his good arm.
"Anytime you want her to do some seroius damage, just squeeze it" she said.

Before Ashleigh raised her hand, she collapsed into darkness, only to be brung back to the real world by Yugi kissing her. She opened her eyes, which sprung tears.
"I'm so sorry" she whispered.

"It's all right," Yugi said, hugging her close. Silent Swordsman dissapeared as the immediate danger passed. "They still have control over that dark angel part of you. Through that choker." He ran his hand through her hair. "I tried gettin it off, but..."

Kaimiri nodded in affirmation. "I don't believe we'll need to, just yet." He said.

---

"Aki," Selena said gently. "It...we should leave, for the time being at least." She squeezed the girl's shoulder in comfort. "If you need someone to talk to, or just a shoulder to cry on, I'll be there."

Ashleigh was about to say something but she burst out crying.

"At least it still works though" Dark Ashleigh said with glee.

---

Aki let go of Yusei's hand, stood up, then lunged into Selena's arms, crying.
"Why did this have to happen? Why?" she asked.

"There, there. It's all right." Yugi said gently, patting the back of Ashleigh's head. "I'm here. Don't worry, I'm here..."

"That it does," Kaimiri agreed. "Now, I must rest. Otherwise I may never recover."

---

Selena placed her hand on the back of Aki's head and stroked in comfortingly. "I wish I knew," she said, looking to Yusei's body. Just for a second, she could've sworn that she saw him at the window. When she blinked, the image was gone. I must be seeing things. She thought.

"Why do I have to be the one with the ultimate shard?" Ashleigh asked, through out the sobbing.

Dark Ashleigh nodded and kissed Kaimiri.
"Sweet dreams" she said and left the room, closing the door.

Ruby touched the button on her bracelet.
"Ok, I just talked to my superiors. They said it will take the duration of the time of the revival period to make their plan work. Of course I objected it but they said it's the only way it could work. If it does, they will know that their main plan will work. Why taking Yusei away just to bring him back to life sounds really weird to me, don't you think?" she said.

"Apparentlly the gods have their own reasons..." Yugi replied. "Apart from that, I have no idea."

Kaimiri smiled slightly as he fell into sleep.

"I'm not sure if the angels' plan will work." Selena said. She was still staring at the spot she'd seen Yusei's spirit--or thought she'd seen it. "It appears this is a fight he has to win on his own."

Ashleigh got up and got a knife from the draw. Then she walked back and gave it to Yugi.
"Kill me. I just want it to be over" she said.

"Exactly Selena. This is one of the things that they're testing out. If it works, this is exactly what Ashleigh has to do, but they're still keeping me out of the dark for the rest" Ruby "And your eyes wasn't playing tricks on you either. That was Yusei's spirit."

"Ashleigh, don't." Yugi said, taking the knife and placing it on the coffee table. "What will it take to convince you that none of this means you have to commit suicide? I won't become a murderer either. Besides, I've got a bit of a plan."

"In other words, Sakura's been seeing ghosts again." Kaiba said. "Why the hell did I get landed in an insane asylum?"

"Funny, last I checked you admitted that magic existed not too long ago." Selena replied.

"Shut it..." Kaiba said. "I admitted magic was real. Not ghosts."

He was floating in water. Cold water. Where am I? Who am I? He thought. He couldn't breathe, but for whatever reason he didn't feel he needed to.

Then it all came crashing back. His name. Who he was. His Signer mark. The entity taking control of him. His mark leaving. His friends. His death....

Yusei's eyes snapped open and he took a deep breath...of water. He tried spitting it out, but as he was in a lake or river or someplace under water, that was hard. I'm already dead...then why the hell am I so afraid of drowning?! he thought. It still did nothing to alleviate his panic. He tried swimming upward, but he couldn't differentiate up from down.

It was then that someone dived into the water as well. A strong hand grabbed hold of his arm and hauled him upward, out of the water. Yusei coughteed and sputtered, clearing the water from his lungs. When he was done coughing, he looked up to see who his rescuer was.

"...Dad...?"

"To try and convince that I'm dead when I'm not? Making me go back there? Taking me to a different Dimention where Kaimiri will follow and try to kill me?" Ashleigh asked, "It's not going to work."

"Yes, it is Yusei" Dr Fudo replied, "Why were you in the water?"

Yugi placed his hands on her shoulders. "Ashleigh, calm down." He said. "The plan I have in mind...it'll be risky. Hear me out?"

---

Yusei looked away. "I'm sorry...I...I'm dead." He replied. He placed a hand on his stomach, where he was sure the wound on his body was. "Kaimiri--the man me and my friends are fighting against--had some kind of strange entity take over my body, and turned me into a bad guy. A day or so ago, I think, Aoi...stabbed me. In the stomach." He let his hand fall away. "It ended up killing me...."

"And like all other plans, it's going to fail right?" Ashleigh snapped, "It will be easier if you killed me."

"Well, at least it wasn't a blast" Dr Fudo chuckled, "but the main thing is that we're together at last and I'm not letting you go again." And with that, he hugged his son who began to cry.

Yusei let the tears fall. A small whimper escaped his lips, but apart from that his crying was silent. He didn't even hear the young man step forward.

"Well, the Shooting Star of Sattilite is a big baby after all." he sneered. "Sad 'cause you wound up dead?"

Yusei looked up. He locked eyes with a young man who was the same age as him, and looked exactly like him. His hair was spiked up in the same crazy style, his eyes were the same color, the stance, height, and build were the same. It was like he was looking a mirror. Only his reflection was a really angry one and didn't have the mark from the Facility. He was wearing a light blue hoodie jacket, jeans, red and white sneakers, and a T-shirt that matched the one Yusei was wearing, only the colors were inverted. "Who are you?" Yusei asked.

"Ashleigh! I won't kill you, not the way you want." Yugi replied. "Please, just hear me out!"

Dr. Fudo turned his head around and saw a reflection of his son.
"Who the hell are you and what do you want with my son?" he demanded.

---

"Just kill me! I don't want any more plans failing only to make matters worse. Because of this, three people that we know have died from this fiasco so far. If I die, no more people will suffer" Ashleigh said.

Yugi's brow furrowed. "Three? Haven't only two been killed? Mokuba and Sho?" He asked. Then the realization hit him. "No...Yusei..." he whispered in disbelief.

Rikuo scoffed. "Figures you'd remember the kid that could've been saved." He said. "Even though I'm the older one. Rikuo Fudo."

Yusei's eyes widened slightly. "Rikuo Fudo? Who are you?"

"You twin. Or at least, I would've been if I'd survived." Rikuo replied.

"Now I remember. You're the one who was still born. And the doctor's tried to save you but couldn't. And how did you know the name that we were meant to give you?" Dr Fudo asked.

"Yes. Do you want more of our friends being killed because of me? Of Kaimiri?" Ashleigh asked.

"Mom told me." Rikuo replied. "So, this is Yusei. My twin brother to lived. The younger one."

"Wait...you're telling me that I had a twin?" Yusei asked.

"Well, considering how I'm right here and look exactly like you, no shit." Rikuo replied. "So, what's it like? The world of the living? I was dead before I was even born, so I don't know what life is like."

"Ashleigh, I won't kill you." Yugi replied. "Because I don't want any more of our friends dead. Including you."

"Now boys, this isn't the time to fight" Dr Fudo said.

---

"You have to, it's the only way to stop this" Ashleigh said.

"Easy for you to say, pops. You didn't die before you were born." Rikuo replied. "Didn't you and mom feel anything when you found out I was stillborn?"

---

"Ashleigh, it's not. You know it's not." Yugi replied. "We'll find a way. Even if it costs me my life too, we'll find a way to end this."

"Yes we did. Your mother was in a wreak until the blast" Dr Fudo replied.

---

"I have to die. I rather be killed by someone I love than the one I hate" Ashleigh replied.

"Right. Of course, it was after New Domino was destroyed that I get to meet my parents." Rikuo replied. He glared at Yusei. "I still say its unfair. That he got to live and I didn't."

"Rikuo, quit blaming this on me." Yusei said. "I highly doubt there was anything that could've been done. Besides, didn't you just say that I was the younger twin? I think that speaks for itself. I had nothing to do with it."

"Yeah, right. And I'm a Signer too." Rikuo replied sarcastically. "Later, lame-o." With that he turned and left.

Yugi shook his head. "I do know a spell that should work to keep Kaimiri away from you." He said. "It's risky...it involves you dying, temporarily."

"I rather die promptly than temporality" Ashleigh said, "It's better for it to be that way."

"Ashleigh, stop talking like that!" Yugi said. "Do you know why Selena tried talking to you last night?"

Yusei looked to his father. "Dad...has he always been like that?" He asked.

"I'm not changing my mind Yugi. I'm going to die anyway, so why not end it now?" Ashleigh said.

"Sadly yes" Dr Fudo said and sighed, "But he was meant to become a Dark Signer because of jealously and a rebel."
