Yugi hung his head. "I can see that you mind's made up." He said quietly.

Yusei nodded, sadly he discovered. "I can see why he's jealous, but...that's in the past." he said. "I can't help but feel sorry for him though...to know all these years that he died before either of us were born, and at the same time I'm living in the Satillite, even though I..." he trailed off. "I almost think he's the lucky one...."

"I'm sorry. Just do it now, I can't bare it anymore" Ashleigh said.

"That is so, but you have friends who care for you, a girl who loves you. He doesn't" Dr Fudo replied, "and something he won't experience for himself."

"I won't become a murderer." Yugi replied. "If you think you have the courage, then do it. Just remember how much you're leaving behind, and who you're leaving behind as well."

"I guess you're right," Yusei replied. "Dad, can I have some time to myself for a while? I need to clear my head."

Ashleigh grabbed the knife, and aimed it where the shard was.
"Let it be no more that Kaimiri hunt down the innocent" and she struck. But to Yugi's surprise, the knife hit an angelitc barrior than her flesh. She dropped the knife, cutting her foot. Then she collasped.
"It's best to do the spell" she whispered, then closed her eyes.

"Sure, but don't be afraid to call out if you need me" and with that, Dr Fudo left Yusei to clear his head.

Yugi knelt down next to her and cupped her face in his hands, gently. "All right," he said. "But it will be risky. And you might want to lay down for it. On a bed."

Yusei nodded as his father left. He sat down near the water and rested his arms on his knees, and his chin on his arms. Aki...I hope that you got my message. He thought. His fist balled up in frustration. I just wish....I wish that I'd had the chance to tell you about how I feel....

Ashleigh opened her eyes and nodded, still letting the blood flow from her foot which she didn't realized that she made a cut.

'I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise...'
That was running through Aki's mind.
"I can't believe you're gone" she said aloud in her quarters, "why does it has to be you?"

Yugi started towards the cabinet. "Here, let me get a bandage for that first though." He said.

Ruka knocked on the door. He and Rua were there, as was Crow. Jack was on his way, as was Kiryu. "Big sis Aki? You all right?" He asked.

Ashleigh nodded. She watched Yugi bandaged her foot.

"No, I'm not alright" Aki snapped, "how would you feel if someone you love died when holding hands?"

"Aki, calm down. I know you're hurting. We all are." Crow said. "Please, let us come in?"

Yugi finished up with the bandage. "That a bit better?" he asked.

"If you want, I don't care. I just want Yusei back" Aki said.

"Yeah, a bit" Ashleigh said quietly.

Crow carefully opened the door, only to come next to being bowled over by Ruka and Rua. "Big sis Aki!" They both cried, and ran up to her.

"We just heard what happened." Crow said. "Jack and Kiryu are on their way...same with Aoi."

"Thanks guys" Aki said, and wiped her eyes, "What will I do without you?"

"I'm not sure, but I'm guess it wouldn't be good." Crow said as the others showed up.

"Just got word from Max," Aoi said. "She's had a preservation spell put on Yusei's body, so that...." she shifted awkwardly. "Anyway, she's pretty much said that no one can enter Yusei's room without special premission. And that includes us--and herself."

"And I presume that Ruby cast the spell?" Aki asked, And I heard Yusei's last words too."

Aoi nodded. "Figured as much."

"What were they?" Kiryu asked.

"He said 'I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise...' which was to protect me at all cost" Aki replied, then she burst into tears. Everyone crowded around the broken hearted girl.

"Easy, Aki..." Crow said, placing a comforting hand no her shoulder. "He'll come back. I'm sure he will."

"And how would that happen, exactly?" Jack asked. Kiryu punched him in the shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?!"

"I think that's the last thing you want to say right now, Jack." Kiryu replied. "Need I remind you that you suck with women?"

"Correction. Two women and a 12 year old girl" Rua said.
"Ok, everything is set for the next 3 days" Ruby said, poking her head around the corner, "by the forth day, Yusei will return Aki. I have to head off to see Yugi. He said that he's going to cast a spell, which might cause death. If that happens, I can use my revival skills."

"If you had revival skills, then why didn't you use them on Yusei?!" Ruka blurted out.

"Ruka, calm down." Kiryu said. "None of this is Ruby's fault, so don't go blaming her." I've had enough experience with misplaced anger, that's for sure.

"I could if I was a full angel Ruka, but I'm still a trainee and not allowed to revive anyone without permission. My tutor said that I have to be there when the spell cast, because that will be my hands on experiance. I wanted to revive Yusei, I really did, but she said that he has to face his other half, his would be twin" Ruby said, "then they will do the rest."

"'She'? Who's 'she'? And this 'They' you keep talking about?" Jack asked. "And what do you mean, Yusei's got to face his twin? He doesn't have any siblings. I'm pretty damn sure that the rest of us would know about them if he did."

"Hence would be. Yusei's twin died when he was born. And right now, he's not in the best of moods. After all, he grew up in the afterlife. I catch you later on" and with that, Ruby left.

"What are you going to do?" Ashleigh asked as Yugi laid her on the bed, confused.

"So Yusei had a twin who died?" Crow asked when Ruby left. "Wow...who'd have thought."

"Twin or no we're still short one Signer--and friend." Jack said. "But what if Ruby's wrong and he doesn't come back? What do we do then?"

Something that's going to hurt, a lot. Yugi thought. "It's an intricate spell, and a dangerous one. It's supposed to essentially imitate death. I guess you could call it a temporary death."

"I don't know" Rua said, "but what of these 'angels' are right and let Yusei face his twin?"

"Which I might add that if anything goes wrong, we loose you, Permitaly if one works alone. Even if the plan that the angels is gone to plan works, you won't return" Ruby explained as she entered the room, "but since I'm here, I got permission to revive you if anything does go wrong."
"But there's a problem. The chocker is a traking device and won't come off till either Kaimiri takes it off, or my heart gets ripped out. It's not going to fool him" Ashleigh pointed out.

"That is a big problem," Yugi replied. "I tried getting it off, and wound up with a pretty bad shock and out cold."

"There's really nothing we can do then, I guess." Kiryu said. "Unless one of us is willing to pass into the afterlife after him." He looked up, to see the gang looking at him. "Wait--no way! I've been dead before, and I'm not going back! Not for a very long time!"
