Yugi looked nervously at the clock. It's been half an hour now....I'm getting worried.

Yusei froze when he heard a yell. 'Ashleigh...?' He linked tenatively. But if I heard her...then she's got ot be...dead.

Selena breathed a sigh of relief when she heard that Aki was now undergoing a blood transfusion. That's good, she thought.

"So, what's the story?" ruby asked then shivered.
"Don't tell me that you didn't close her eyes!! They're creeping me out!!!"

'Somebody, help me!!' was the reply. That made Yusei run out of the house to see a pool of demons pentrating the border, trying to bring the poor girl down.

"So, we have to wait for 24 hours to pass right?" Aka asked, placing a hand on Selena.

"That's what I'm assuming," Selena replied.

When Yusei reached the border and tried to go through it, he was thrown back with an electric shock. "Agh!" He shouted

"Sorry," Yugi replied, reaching over and closing Ashleigh's eyes. "What's the news with the others?"

"I hope that....." Aka started to say but she stopped.

Ashleigh looked up and tried her best to get out the grip.
"Somebody please help" she screamed.

---

'Use the sword Yusei, use the sword' a voice whisperd in Yusei's head.

"What's wrong?" Selena asked.

---

Yusei pulled the pendant from out of his shirt. Great. Now how do I get this back into sword form?! He thought as he backed away from one of the demons.

"I'm fading" Aka said. but then, she necklace what was given to her way earlier glowed And Aka stopped pulsing.

'You already know how' the voice in Yusei's head replied.

And how's that? Yusei thought, dodging the demon's arm again.

"That was weird," Selena said. "What d'you think that was about?"

'Let your heart guide you' the voice replied.

---

"I don't......ASHLIEGH!!!!" Aka exclamed.

"Aki contracted a fatal 24hr bug from Oblivian and she's loosing blood when she coughs" Ruby replied.

"Aka, what's wrong?" Selena asked. "What's wrong with Ashleigh?"

My heart? Yusei thought. He barely dodged another attack from one of the demons.

Yugi's eyes went wide when he heard the news. "What?!" He blurted. "What are her chances? Is she on a blood transfusion?"

"She's....she's...." Aki couldn't say the word.

---

'yes, your heart. Do it Yusei or another friend of yours will be truly dead' the voice replied.

---

"Yes, she is" Ruby replied.

Yugi sighed in relief. "That's good," he replied.

"What's the Oblivion 24 hour bug?" Crow asked.

"It's a deadly disease that kills in 24 hours." Yugi replied. Crow stiffened and visibly paled. "Don't worry; it's curable. It just takes a lot of blood transfusions over that 24 hours. With any luck, there'll be enough blood through her system to get her through it."

"Dead?" Selena asked quietly.

---

B-but I-- Yusei thought, but was cut off as a demon's claw pinned his arm to the wall. "AGGGGHHHHH!!!!"

Ruby looked at the clock.
"Ashleigh's got about 20 minutes left to come back" she said.

Aka nodded sadly.
"I can't believe she's gone" she said.

---

'That's where your true power lies' the voice said.

But I don't know my true power! Yusei thought. He could smell the demon's rancid breath.

Not going to let your doubt get the best of you now, are we? The sinister voice echoed in his head. My, my. You truly have lost confidence in yourself. How pathetic.

I'm not pathetic! Yusei thought. A dribble of warm drool fell onto his face. "Yuck..."

Then prove it, Yusei Fudo! His evil half replied. A crimson light flashed from the pendant in his hand.

Yusei yelled as he drove the crimson sword through the demon's heart. It dissovled into ash. Yusei only took a moment to wipe the drool off his face. "Now that that's figured out...what--Shit!" He yelled as he dodged another demon.

Selena put her hand around Aka's shoulders. "I'm soo sorry," she said, and she was right. "I think...no, I know she's coming back."

Yugi nodded. "You know, if you guys want to go to bed, go ahead. I'm going to stay here until she comes back." he said.

Ashleigh screamed as the demons pulled down.
"I'm done for!" she cried.

"How do you know?" Aka asked.

---

Ruby shook her head.
"I need to be here" she said, "incase anything goes wrong in about 10 mins."

"All right," Yugi replied.

Selena tapped her eyepatch. "I just know." She said.

---

Yusei cut down the demon bearing down on him. "Here goes nothing!" He shouted, stabbing the border with his sword.

He plunged into the ice cold.

Aka just nodded, then turned her attention to Aki.
"I hope he survives" she said.

Ashleigh saw a sword piercing through the floor.
"Who's there?" she asked.

---

10 minutes past and both Ruby and Yugi was sleeping on the floor, not knowing that an whole hour has passed.

It wasn't long before Yusei was through the barrier, as well as his sword. "Ashleigh?!" He asked.

---

"You and me both," Selena replied.

The two girls looked at Aki lying there on the bed. She looked so peacefull.

---

Ashleigh turned her head.
"Yusei? Is that you?" she asked.

"She looks like she's sleeping, rather than fighting off a deadly sickness." Selena said.

---

"Yeah, it's me." Yusei said. "What the hell's going on?"

"You tell me" Aka agreed.

---

"I'm suppose to be back to make sure that Kaimiri is fooled that I'm dead. By the looks of things, I won't make it back because of these things pulled me down from the legs" Ashleigh replied, "And Yugi's going to be worried SICK!" Ashleigh explained.

"And now you're here." Yusei said.

"yeah and I don't want to be here!" Ashleigh said, then screamed again, being pulled down by the demons.

Yusei slashed at the demons dragging her down, then stepped in front of her. "Stay behind me." He said.

Ashleigh obeyed.
"Any idea why they're after ME?" she asked.

"I don't know," Yusei said, then he remembered something his mother said.

"Everyone has their personal demons"
