"Yana Mutou is in a coma, and Yugi is dead." Gabriel replied.

"More blunt than me...." Selena muttered.

"Come on, Jack, breathe!" Yusei said between chest compressions. Suddenly, Jack coughed up the water and started breathing, albeit hoarsly. Yusei smiled wearily. "Now, to take care of that gash...." He placed his hands over the wound, and began the healing incantations Atem had taught him. Slowly, the wound healed as the spell took hold.

When it was almost healed over the skin, Yusei ran out of energy. The spell, saving Jack fron drowning, and the wound from the poisoned dagger had taken their tolls. Yusei's eyes fluttered as everything went blurry. He collapsed to his side, and couldn't fight the cold darkness that was encroaching on him. He thought he heard Rikuo shouting his name, but he was too far gone to notice.

"Crap! that's not good" Ruby said, then ran to Yugi's side to see if she can sense his soul. After a while, she stood up.
"His soul isn't there. He's not in limbo, he's passed on" she said, as it began to rain.

"No....no....." Selena said. One of her closest friends was dead...well and truely dead. It was the one who had helped pull her out of her solitude, no less. "KAIMIRI!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She bellowed, ripping off her eye patch and letting half a dozen bullets rip from her pistol.

Jack came around slowly, painfully. The last thing he remembered from getting slammed from Yusei's wind blade spell, and now here he was....

In a panic he checked his stomach. He was still covered in blood, but the wound was mostly healed, if raw. "Who...?" He asked, then looked over. His blood ran cold as a chill ran up his spine.

Yusei was laying on his side, away from him, the red blood soaking his shirt and the ground beneath him. Did he...pull me out...? He thought in disbelief. He was staring at his foster brother for several moments before it hit him about what had happened.

"Shit!" Jack said, kneeling and turning Yusei over. His face was ashen, and if he was breathing it was weak. It was the same with his pulse. His body temperature was also too low for comfort. "Damn...he exhausted himself, plus the poison...." He muttered. He shoved a hand into an inner pocket of his coat, hoping his escapade in the water hadn't caused him to lose the small vial of antidote. He sighed in relief when he felt that it was still there, and secure. He unstoppered it and carefully held it to Yusei's lips. I hope this works....

That did about that for Ashleigh and letting one blast after another hitting Kaimiri. After 10 blasts, Gabriel held the angel.
"Let me go" she said, struggling.

"No, I can't." Gabriel replied. "Because attacking Kaimiri is like attacking Yugi Mutou."

Everyone froze.
"You meaning that you want Kaimiri killed but we can't do that because he's Yugi?" Ashleigh asked.

"A part of him." Gabriel replied. "It's...hard to explain."

"Is that true Kaimiri?" Ashleigh asked, "You're a part of my husband?"

"Looks like I've been found out," Kaimiri said. He bowed. "Yes, I am a part of Yugi. Or at least, I was."

"That explains the hyper yellow hair." Selena said.

"Why did you hide this from me?" Amelia asked.
"Yeah! You better explain yourself" Ashleigh growled.

Kaimiri shrugged. "I'm assuming you all remember the duel agains Pegasus, right?"

"Yeah, what about it?" Ashleigh asked.

"Didn't you notice someting...different about your husband when the duel was over?" Kaimiri asked. He was trying his hardest to repress a smirk, and was only barely succeeding.

"No, since I left when the dome was fading so I had no idea who he was at the time" Ashleigh replied.

"I noticed something different." Selena said. "It was a bit....odd."

"When Yugi was overpowered, I got left in the Shadow Realm after that game. You could say I'm the darkest piece of his soul." Kaimiri replied with a sneer. "Now that he's dead, I have all my powers."

"WHAT?" everyone exclamed.
"What should we do now?" Ashleigh asked Gabriel.

Gabriel dipped his head, his hair shading his eyes. "I....am not sure." He replied. This is worse than I thought. But, from what Kaimiri said....

"We can't kill him."

"What? So we're going to let Earth fall on it's knees?" Ashleigh asked, tears springing to her eyes.

"No," Gabriel replied. "I know as well as you that we cannot let Kaimiri win this."

"Then why don't we kill him?" Max finally asked.

"Because if he's a part of Yugi Mutou, then it may be the only way to return him to the world of the living." Gabriel replied.

"Then, I'm going to get him" Ashleigh said, "I don't want him to be dead, it's not his time."

"I'll take on Kaimiri." Max said. "Whoever fights him could be killed. I don't want any of you dead."

"Max, why?" Ashleigh asked, "I don't want you to die too"

"No more of my agents are going to die. That goes for my family as well." Max replied.

"But you're the only family left on mum's side" Ashleigh protested.

"I know." Max replied. "But, you're more important than I am to this fight."
