"Oh boy. Not this again" Ashleigh sighed as she held hands with Gabriel and Yuma.

"Now, activate your auras." Gabriel instructed.

"My what?" Yuma asked, as Ashleigh activate hers.

"Your aura. It's an electromagnetic field around your body, and some people can tap into it and control it to their will." Gabriel replied. "It has a supernatural element to it as well, which is why mages, psychics, angels and the like can control it."

"I'm no mage" Yuma exclaimed.
"Well, if you want to get out of here, you have to" Ashleigh replied.

"You should be able to, as you can't be possessed by the Numbers." Astral replied.

"Numbers?" Ashleigh asked.
"I don't even know how to activate it" Yuma protested.

Astral sighed. "Then we have a problem." He said. He turned to Ashleigh. "The numbers are pieces of my memories. The more I collect, the more I can remember."

"Sound like another incident I know of" Ashleigh said, "Yuma, concentrate."
"Ok" Yuma replied, then close his eyes. A Lemon sent picked up as a bright yellow mist swirled around him.

"What incident would that be?" Astral asked. He blinked when he sensed Yuma's aura. Unrefined, and little control...

"We had somebody wiped his memory clean. My husband and his friends helped him get his memories back. It wasn't easy, but it was achievable" Ashleigh replied, "Gabriel, he's doing it."

Gabriel nodded. "I see that." He said. "Now, take hold of each other's hands, we're leaving for the world of life."

Yuma and Ashleigh nodded and took each other's hand.
"We're ready" Ashleigh said, then closing her eyes, Yuma following suit.

Gabriel closed his eyes as he brought the four of them to the world of life. As he did so, he wondered how Astral and Yuma were going to return to their time when the battle was over.

By the time they got back, almost all the group was there, gathering around Max's now lifeless body. Aka was still hugging Yugi's body, and Kaimiri still laughing with power. Ashleigh sensed that something was about to happen.

"Damn you Kaimiri...." Selena muttered. She had her eyepatch off, and the entire right side of her face was covered by the snaking marks. "Why? Why do you always have to pull this shit?!"

"I don't see why not." Kaimiri said. He cocked his head, seeing Ashleigh was back. "And it looks like the wayward fairy has brought some new friends with. Not that it'll do you any use."

Kaiba suddenly froze. "Don't move." He told Melhana and Edo sharply.

Melhana peered at him. "What's got you uptight?" She asked.

"Something's coming," Kaiba replied. He gripped his staff tighter, his knuckles turning white. "I don't like it..."

"I didn't have a choice" Ashleigh said, then ran to the group. She parted through the crowd and found out that Max was just hanging on to see her neice for the last time. Ashleigh held her aunt in her arms.
"Aunt Max, can you hear me?" she asked.

Max opened her eyes. There was blood running from her mouth, and she was trying futily to keep the blood pouring from a wound in her stomach to stop. She had her hand over it, and she was guessing that was because all of her entrails hadn't come spilling out the way she felt. Another deep gash ran along her chest diagonally, and there was no doubt that at least one of her lungs had been cut in half. "Ashleigh....my girl....." She said quietly.

"What is it Max? What is it that you're trying to say?" Ashleigh asked, tears springing in her eyes.

Max motioned for Ashleigh to bring her head closer. "My girl....You've got to beat him..." she said. "The others....Yusei and Judai...are on their way. Help them take down Kaimiri....."

Ashleigh nodded.
"I will. I'm going to miss you" she replied.

Max stroked Ashleigh's hair with a bloody hand. The one that wasn't holding her midriff closed. "I'll be watching over you, always." She said. Her eyes began to flutter as the last of her strength left her.

"NOOOOOOOOO!!" Ashleigh cried. Then the tears fell from the angels eyes. She looked up to see Ruby and Max standing there. Max nodded and mouthed Good bye Ashleigh. Please stay strong for me. Then the two left in a shimmery portal that was behind them.

"She's gone," Selena said as she felt Max's aura fade. She let Ashleigh cry into her shoulder.

Ashleigh was about to say something but felt something inside spread through out her body. She couldn't stop it, even if she wanted to. She floated up in the air into a red and blue ball.
"Gabriel, what's going on?" Aka asked.
"That's what I was going to ask" Yuma said.
