"Sure, ok" Ashleigh replied, "Something to keep my mind off the wedding and the coronation. What is it?"

Uriel handed her the letter. "It is up the time stream." he said. "In a time when the Earth is...abandoned, for the most part. It's partly out of a request. I believe the woman requesting this is a friend of yours?"

Ashleigh took the letter and read it.
"Hmm....Amelia needs an undercover GA and protection, Aka needs remembering, finding the heir after the future king, total Signer help" she read,"And Selena needs help finding love? What's that about?"

"You know her better than I do. Far better." Uriel replied.

"Is there something that she isn't telling me up front?" Ashleigh wondered, "Hm...I better talk to her when I get a chance before this assignment to set things straight. That way, I have something to work with."

Uriel nodded. "I don't think Selena from your time will know about this request yet." He replied..

"I know, but there is something that is going to break our friendship if she doesn't come clean about it" Ashleigh said.

"Why do you say that?" Uriel asked.

"I don't know. It seems she hates me for something" Ashleigh replied.

Uriel frowned. "What does she hate you for? It didn't sound like she hated you in this request." He tapped the paper. "In fact, she asked for you specifically."

"She asked? For me?" Ashleigh asked, wide eyed, "How can that be? She hardly asks for anyone."

"Believeable, seeing as she was born with the Demon Eye." Uriel replied. "But look at the date on that communique. She should be dead."

"That is because she's immortal now, that's why" Ashleigh replied, "but she is still determined to beat death."

"Ah, the death curse. Any with the demon eye will face an early and violent death." Uriel replied. "It's a cruel experiment the gods decided to have, that's for sure."

"But death will get to us one day, that's for sure" Ashleigh said, "now, if you excuse me, the final match of the hand-over is about to start."

Uriel nodded. "have fun then," He said.

Meanwhile in the world of the living, Yugi and Yusei were facing each other on the dueling platform. Time to see if you've got the skill to take up the title of Legend. Yugi thought.

Ashleigh sat in her room, with a one way window opened, watching the two.
Good luck Yusei she thought, I know you can do this.

"Finally, the last of the Legends is dueling for his title, Yugi Mutou!" The announcer said. "His opponent is our own shooting star; Yusei Fudo!"

"DUEL!!!"

"I'll go first!" Yugi said, drawing. "I start by playing one monster in face-down defense mode and one card face-down. I end."

"This is going to a huge challenge" Aki agreed.
"You got that right" Anzu replied. She arrived back a few days ago from her tour around Japan (as she told everyone, which was the reason why she left so suddenly earlier on in the year and missing out on all the action) and now settled back down in the newly built HQ of the federation.

Aoi came in and sat down, wiping her brow. She'd just gotten done training. "Last duel, huh?" She asked.

Yusei drew. "I set two cards face-down and summon Quillbolt Hedgehog in defense mode. I end for now." He said. Let's see what you've got, Yugi.

"Yep" Anzu said, then looking around, "I just realised this. Where's Ashleigh?" Everyone one in the britches froze.

Ashleigh facepalmed.
Great! Now she asked where I'm gone she thought.

"Er...." Aoi started. "She's kind of....."

Playing it safe, are we? Yugi thought, drawing his card. Not the best idea... "All right then. I summon Obnoxious Celtic Guardian in attack mode. Attack Quillbolt Hedgehog!"

"I activate the trap card, Mirror Force." Yusei said, flipping the card face-up.

Yugi smirked. "Then I activate Trap Jammer." He said. "I discard to negate your Mirror Force trap." Celtic Guardian's attack went through, destroying the small monster. "I end with one face-down."

"On holiday" Aki quickly said, "she's coming back sometime next moth."
"Ah, ok" Anzu replied.

That was a close one the girl thought as Uriel joined her.

Aoi let out a silent sigh. Thanks for the save, Aki. She thought.

Yusei drew. He smiled. "I summon Junk Synchron in attack mode!" He said. "And thanks to his effect, I can summon Speed Warrior from my hand."

"You're going to do a Synchro summmon, aren't you?" Yugi asked.

"You got it." Yusei said. "I tune my Junk Synchron with my Speed Warrior to summon Junk Warrior!"

Yet, nothing happened on the field. Yugi was smiling. "Sorry, but that activated my trap, Special Block." He said. "It blocks all Special Summons for three turns, and that includes summoning from the Extra Deck."

Yusei glared. "I set one face-down and my turn." He said.

"Also, Kaimiri has been dealt with, we have angels with us and Yana's in a coma because of the battle we had" Aki continued, "I just hope something good happen to make us laugh or smile."
