"If it isn't, then I'd like to know who I glomped yesterday." Selena said.

Then almost at once, everyone tackled glomped Ashleigh.
"Get off me!" she yelled.

Selena winced. "That's gotta hurt." She said.

"Which is why I'm staying back here." Bakura added. Selena nodded.

"She's not the only one under here!" Melhana called from under the huge tackleglomp.

"I mean it! get off me!" Ashleigh growled, getting pissed off.

"Please. I can't breathe!" Melhana protested. "And who has their hand on my butt?!"

After a few seconds, everyone piled off, leaving Ashleigh on the ground.
"Now can I leave?' she grumbled.

"What's got you in a bad mood?" Selena asked, helping Ashleigh up.

"All I want is to watch the snow while settling back down" Ashleigh replied, "that's all."

"You're sounding like me now." Selena said. "Isn't part of getting settled back down catching up with your friends?"

"You still don't get it" Ashleigh replied, "I want to be alone for a little wile before having contact with anyone. Now, if you excuse me." And with that, Ashleigh left the mess hall.
"Something's different about her" Edo said. Everyone murmured with agreement.
"Can someone keep an eye on her for a bit without knowing?" Atem asked.

Selena nodded. "On it." She said, following the woman.

Everyone was silent for several moments. "Well, that's a way to start the evening." Otogi finally said.

"Any guesses why she's like this?" Anzu asked.

"Leave me alone Selena" Ashleigh said, "I'm not going back in there."

"You don't have to go back in there." Selena said. "Care to talk?"

Melhana shrugged. "No idea." She said. "I hope she's feeling better by the big day...."

"We all are." Yugi said.

"Well, we're parting, with or without her" Anzu said, and cranked up the music.

"No Selena, I'm not ready to talk" Ashleigh snapped, "if they were smart enough, they would give me some space so I can settle back into routine. They should know by know that I don't like parties like that also."

"Yeah," Melhana said. Bakura tugged on her arm.

"Come on, let's make the best of it." He said. "After all, day after tomorrow is the wedding."

"And we still don't have..." Melhana said. "Wait! Atem, Ryo and I have something we want to ask you."

"If you're mad, holding it in is the worst thing you can do." Selena said. "I should know; been there, done that."

"Hm?" Atem responded.

"Then let me be, leave me alone and I be fine tomorrow. Isn't that too hard to ask for?" Ashleigh snapped.

"Fine, have it your way." Selena sighed.

"Would you perform the wedding ceremony, please?" Melhana asked.

"Wait, WHAT?" Atem spluttered, "and the wedding's in 3 DAYS? I don't know how to do that kind of stuff!"

"Fine!" And with that, Ashleigh went back to her quarters and resumed watching the snow. But something was really odd about that situation. Selena clicked when Ashleigh left.

There was no earthquake.

"It's not a wedding in today's sense," Bakura said. "It'll be a mage's wedding, with the traditions from ancient Egypt."

"That was new." Selena said, blinking. "Looks like we don't have to go ducking for cover now."

"Still, I don't know who to do marragages. Sure I got married in those traditions, but being the one doing the cermony? That's different' Atem replied.

Ashliegh watched the snowflakes danced in the breeze.
I was right. They were waiting for the old me she thought, the old me would laugh it off. Why should they care about the new me? They should know by now, if I come back from somewhere, they should give me some space. A hand touched her shoulder.

"Is there anyone you know who does know?" Melhana asked.

"Ashleigh...Malenkia, my girl." Uriel said. He was in the human plane in spirit form, so his body could remain in the angelic plane. "I assure you, they were not waiting for the 'old you'. They were waiting for this you, not an old one, not a new one."

"No' Atem replied honestly, "And I doubt Mahad knows too."

"Then why didn't they leave me alone then Papa?" Ashleigh asked, "I really need some space so that didn't happen. If they waited for tomorrow, that would've been a different story."

"Damn," Melhana said. "So we're back to square one."

"They want to be with you, that's why." Uriel replied. "You have been gone for three months in their time. It is only natural, as you are their friend."

"Hold on. I said I didn't know how to do it" Atem said, "but I didn't say no, I didn't want to, nor willing to try."

"But they should give me space to re-cope with things" Ashleigh replied, "The only reason I went with Melhana, was that she's acting like a Bridezilla."

Melhana perked up. "Really?" She asked.

"'Bridezilla'?" Uriel repeated. "You will have to explain that to me."
