'Thanks,' Melhana linked back, then faced Bakura again.

Atem cleared his throat. "We have gathered as witness to seeing these two bonded in love and spirit," he said. "At the request of the bride and the groom, I will be performing this ceremony. I ask the gods to bear witness to this union of mages, and of royalty."

I just hope Atem doesn't screw this up Ashleigh thought.

Atem held his hand out, palm down. The ancient pharaoh was wearing a tunic in a similar style to what he wore in Egypt, with black trousers and dress boots. He had golden bands around his upper arms and wrists, as well as a diadem with the wadjet eye on it. "Link arms," He told the two mages. They did so. Switching to ancient Egyptian, he chanted;
"Gods of old, link these two in spirit.
Gods of old, link these two in life.
Gods of old, link these two mages in power
So that they may be able to draw on one another
If the time is needed."

As he spoke, his aura flared, the black mist curling off his body and giving off the anise scent. At the same time, Melhana's and Bakura's aura's ignited as well, Melhana's acting like a flame and Bakura's pulsing. Dragon's blood from Melhana's red aura, and orchids from Bakura's indigo. Glowing black lines wove around the interlocked arms, followed by a series of red and then a series of indigo, until there was an intricate net of black, red, and indigo around the hands of the two. Reaching into a pocket of his trousers, Atem took a red and indigo ribbon and tied it around the wrists of the two, linking the two.

Ashleigh blinked.
That is similiar when my aura was intertwinded with Yugi she thought, but the marks on them shows proof, while we didn't have any physical markings.

The intertwining net of lines dissapeared, though the strands' images were left behind. Atem nodded, meaning that Bakura was to take the wedding ring and slip it onto Melhana's finger. Bakura gulped, and did so with trembling fingers. Melhana did the same with the ring for Bakura.

"Now," Atem said. "You are now husband and wife." He looked from one to the other. 'Now would be when you life the veil.' He linked to Bakura.

Bakura blinked. 'Er, right.' He said. With his free hand, he did so, and gasped when he saw Melhana wearing Egyptian makeup and black lipstick. "Ryo Bakura, you may now kiss the bride." Atem said with a smile.

The grin on Bakura's and Melhana's faces would have been even bigger...had they not been kissing already.

Ashleigh smiled then followed the pair, back up the aisle with the rest of the
"You did great" Ashleigh said, hugging Melhana, "now to do is sign the marriage certificate and it be official."

Melhana hugged Ashleigh back. "Yeah," She said, grinning. She turned and hugged Atem. "Thank you!"

"You're welcome" Atem replied, "I'm just happy that I was able to do it."
"Now to hide BOTH the Barely Beer and Barely Wine" Ashleigh joked.
"HEY!" Atem resorted. He was fond of his barely drinks.

Melhana laughed. "Hey, at least you can hold your liquor better than Jonouchi." She said. Just then her father came up.

"Pharaoh," he said, bowing his head slightly. "I have to say, I'm honored that you were able to perform the ceremony for my daughter. Thank you."

'You think? Have you even seen him drunk in Ancient Egypt?' Ashleigh asked.
"It was my pleasure" Atem replied, "Now, you better go and sign the certificate you two. And you included too Ashleigh."

'Er...no, I haven't. Can't be worse than the two--no, three--modern bozos of the group though, can it?' Melhana replied. She nodded. "Thanks again, a ton!" She said as she and Bakura headed off to sign the marriage certificate.

"It's finally happened," Bakura said. "We're finally married." He scratched the back of his neck and laughed. "I serisously thought I'd...." He trailed off.

"That your heart condition would've ended your life before it was final." Melhana finished. Bakura nodded.

'Kinda' Ashleigh mindlinked, as she caught up with the pair.
"It's not your time yet Bakura" she said, "In fact, you're going to stick around for a wile longer." She quickly turned to see Uriel standing there. She winked at him before joining the others (including Yugi, who was the best man) to do the official stuff.

Bakura smiled. "That's good to hear," he said. He picked up the pen. "Who should sign first?"

"It only makes sense for the bride and groom for that." Yugi said.

Bakura nodded and signed, before handing the pen to Melhana for her to sign as well. Once she was done, she handed the pen to Yugi, who signed and handed it to Ashleigh.

When Ashleigh finished signing, she gave the pen to the official to sign.
"You know, what happened to you two is similar of what Yugi and myself went through in the angelic plane" she said.

"Really?" Melhana asked. Yugi nodded. "That ceremony was a mages' wedding, from ancient Egypt."

"Our one was for the King and Queen of Eternity, which is an special Alantian wedding" Ashleigh explained, "One to unite our souls and aura."

"I see," Melhana said. "I've never heard of an Atlantean wedding...but then again, I don't know a whole lot about Atlantis."

"Because it sunk remember?" Ashleigh pointed out, "now Yugi and myself are stronger than ever, like unbreakable dogtags."

Melhana smiled. "That's good," She said. "Looks like you two are inseperable."

"Scary thing is though, even if we recarnate,we can still locate each other" Ashleigh replied and shivered, "Now I have to lie do-" before she finished the sentence, Ashleigh collapsed, Yugi just catching her in time.

Yugi gently lowered her to the ground. "The same thing happened while we were getting ready for the wedding." Melhana said.

"How long was she out?" Yugi asked.

"About fifteen minutes," Melhana replied. "She said before we came down here that she'd wanted to lie down and get some rest."

suddenly, Ashleigh's face got read and her forehead gotten hotter. The three looked at each other and all decided on one thing.

Ashleigh has a fever.

"I'll carry her back to out apartment." Yugi said. "You guys go on ahead to the celebration. You're the stars of it, after all."

Melhana nodded. "Right," she said.

Aki looked at Yusei at one of the tables.
"Now we can celebrate" she said, smiling.

Yusei nodded. "Yeah, finally." he said. He laughed. "Well, as long as we keep Crow and Jack away from the alcohol."
