Vesper just walked along calmly. On the outside he was very cool and very calm. In the inside his heart was pumping like a mad house. Vesper was very much afraid of pure darkness. He heard his sister become scared. He turned, looking into where the noise had come from. He saw nothing as expected. Still Vesper turned, grabbing his sister's hand. In his free hand, he summoned up a bit of blue fire. Giving them a small amount of light.

"It is alright Ade, just keep moving" He spoke rather coldly.

Shay sighed and sat down next to Louis. "why is it that human are so crazed and hate us for nothing." he said and started to draw pictures in the ground. But as he did it also made part of the ground explode in some places and for once he let it happen. He needed to let the energy out sometimes and some of his emotions too.

"hopefully we get some good food like apples I want to tast a good fresh apple." he said as he started to draw a picture of a apple in the gorund and it crackled with energy as he did.

Adelaide

Adelaide clung to Vesper's hand. She wasn't sure if there was anything there. but Vesper's flame did a lot to calm her fears. The hand with the knife trembled slightly and she switched the blade to an overhand grip.

"Okay." She mumbled in response to Vesper's edict to keep moving. He feet stumbled a little as she scrambled over the uneven ground. Her heart was beating so loudly, she was sure that whatever was in the darkness with them could hear it.

"Humans do not see. They have eyes but they see very little. Its not all their fault, but they are not built to see. They no nothing more than what they can see, and what they can see makes them hate us," he said sadly as he poked at one of the floating rocks. He was about to launch one in some random direction, when suddenly a sound came from behind. Knowing not what it was, he jumped fearfully. Slowly, he turned to look into the darkness to see a small black and white kitten. It mewed softly and trotted up to him. With a little pur it rubbed itself up against his wrist.

"Tiz a soft monster," He said, watching it curiously. After a moment he picked the beast up, with his powers to be safe and examined it. It simply mewed at him.

Vesper did not slow down. He himself was stumbling a bit. They soon made it to the town. He released his flame. Not wanting to alarm any humans of their presence. They needed food. Not to cause trouble. Vesper stepped out onto the sidewalk. Hearing the cold concrete against his boots. There was a small convenience store across the street. Quickly Vesper walked across the street. Still dragging his sister along.

"Shay wants an apple pie. I could see it in his eyes. Louis... probably wants some sort of candy. Everyone else doesn't normally care" Vesper told her while walking in. The cashier was reading a magazine. Not even bothering to look up.

Shay took the little meowing monster into his arms and petted it. "I think the humans call this thing either a dog or a cat. I am not sure." he said and it made itself comfortable in his lap and started ti dig its little claws into his pants and skin. But that only made Shay smiled more and he continued to pet it. It was so cute and he just wanted to pet it and hold it all day long.

"lets name it Ginger or fred." he said as he thought of names humans called things. He conitnued to pet it and stroked its back gently. It started ot make a weird sound but it didn't seem to be wanting to hurt him or anything.

Adelaide

"Okay, I'll see what I can find," Adelaide spoke quietly.

She went to work grabbing foodstuffs. She found a packaged pie for Shay and grabbed a handful of Hershey bars for Louis. She also made sure to pick up some things that had actual nutritional value. She glanced at nutrition information and weighed the options. She had a huge armful of food before they were ready to leave.

"Do we pay?" she looked at Vesper.

Curiously, Louis ran his hand over the creatures back. In response the little cat arched its back into his palm making the boy tilt his head down to its level so that it could rub its little face against his. The cat obliged and he tried his best to imitate the warm, happy rumbling that came from the feline's thought. The cat jumped a bit as he made the sound, but after getting used to it continued to run its body along his, begging to be scratched.

"Id like to name him Donnivan. It sounds friendly, like him," He said cheerily and then the cat turned away from him, "Oh...its a female. Donivina then?"

He walked around the store. Mostly the drinks where he shoved random items in the inner pockets of his coat. He pretty much judged by what looked okay, or what was colorful. They had drunken juices before. When he was full, Vesper headed over to Ade. Digging into his pocket, pulling out a five. He then shook his head, taking one of the candy bars. Thinking about the paying system. Would five dollars be enough to buy one candy bar? He pondered on the idea for a bit.

"I'll buy this and distract her as you leave." He said walking over to the Cashier with the candy. He put the candy on the counter, and started to compliment the women. Even they all knew how compliment. He got the girl to even blush. Even after he checked out and he was sure Ade left, she still wanted to talk with him. Vesper pulled away though. Not without a number. He headed outside of the store. Wondering what the ten numbers were for.

Shay smiled and nodded, "that sounds like a perfect name for her." he said and a small boom happend near his ear and he quickly calmed down. He coudln't get to happy and continued to pet the cat. But then a small thought came to his mind and he didn't like it. He then looked at Louis as he ran his ahdn over the little cat.

"do you think the other will let us keep her?" he asked and wanted to keep her more then anything else.

"No," Louis said sadly, "I dont think that Vesper and Adelaide will want to carry him around with us..."

Louis sighed and stroked the cat lovingly. Settling down now, the cat sprawled out over both of their laps and purred. Louis smiled at the cats affection and played with its tail as it flicked lazily. The cat noticed that its own tail was moving and batted at it playfully. Finding this funny, Louis picked up a stick and wagged it at her like her tail. The cat lunged and took the stick for its own.

"Bad monster! Bad!" he giggled.

Shay laughed and watched the cat happly. "yeah your right that they wouldn't never let us keep her." he said and the cat then jumped into his lap. Shay laughed and took the stick from teh cat and it started to follow it, trying ot catch it. "and I dont think we should call her a monster. She is a beautifull little cat... I think." he siad and let the cat continue to try and get the stick.

"but I wonder if they will let us keep her if we say that we will take care of her." he said and played with the cat more.

"Im not sure," Louis said truthfully and laughed at the cat, "It depends if we can care for her at our camp or not...if we cant then no. I dont think we have alot of that...money stuf ether. I think you need that to buy food. Actually no, im sure you do...What do monsters eat?"

Thinking on it he flopped down next to the cat, not careing if he got dirty. He was filthy already, so it was no great loss.

Adelaide

She nodded at Vesper, her eyes flitting back and forth between him, the armful of food and the shop girl. She watched as Vesper charmed the silly shop girl, flirting shamelessly. She snickered to herself, thinking it funny what lengths Vesper would had to go to to keep them safe and fed.

She made it past the girl and waited for Vesper outside. When he appeared, she watched as Vesper stared at his hand and the slip of paper there.

"It's a phone number. They use these devices to communicate. First they press these buttons in to the devices." Adelaide had been sneaking out to watch the humans. Sometimes, they made more sense to her than her siblings.

Aria turned suddenly, feeling the dirt ground beneath her shake gently. Her eyes fluttered open, and she suspiciously eyed her surroundings. But her eyes only landed on her sister and her two brothers playing with some sort of toy. Aria yawned, a action she still felt a need to master, and sat upright rubbing her deep blue eyes tiredly. She had had another sleepless night in this.....hell hole. The girl knew she had to stay strong for her siblings, though falling apart seemed the easiest thing to do. And its only been three days... Aria thought sadly to herself as she stood up and walked towards her sister.

The boy sat up with a jerk, his eyes wide with fright. His breath shot in and out in short gasps as he looked around, frantically trying to remember...Something. He had fallen asleep, it had been a mistake, but, he had been so tired. The darkness in his sleep had tormented him, Kin never slept well. Rubbing his eyes, he sighed before shaking his head and creating small flames on his hands. They were a comfort and remained there for a couple of seconds, until he spotted some of his siblings...And a strange creature.

"What is that? It's not a human is it?" He questioned curiously, standing slowly before walking towards his siblings.

Elidi, Daughter of Sun

Elidi smiled when they came back and had taken a nap. When she woke she noted that Ade and Vesper must've gone to get food. She watched Louis and Shay and the creature. The knowledge of the world flowed in her mind. "A cat, noun, feline mammal usually having thick soft fur and no ability to roar: domestic cats." She smiled. She read a dictionary once or twice and had memorised it all. "Now now, boys, you musn't speak ill of your siblings." She said softly and approached the cat, holding out a hand for it to sniff. It purred loudly and rubbed itself against her warm hand. She looked happy and then let her hand drop to her side.

"I sense... Death..." She whispered. Hurry up, you two. Please... please just come back safe! She urged Vesper and Ade feeling worried and she felt so guilty for asking them to get the food. She turned to Kin and embraced him, knowing his troubled sleeping. "As soon as Ade and Vesper are back we must go." She whispered softly.

Kin looked surprised when his sister embraced him. However he smiled and returned the hug happily. At least she didn't mention the sleep problems, even if they both knew about it. It was embarrassing to say the least. Nodding, he stepped back, patting Elidi gently on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, they'll be alright. We'll all be. After all, there's only two of them, a load of weak, untalented humans, compared to seven, highly powered us. They don't stand a chance!" He answered softly, attempting to reassure her. Truthfully, the only one who really frightened Kin was Darkness, Death not so much. Glancing at what they now knew was a cat, he smiled slightly. "It's cute, could we keep it Elidi?" he asked, smiling up at her.

Louis giggled at Kins curiosity with their lovely new friend. Picking the little cat up, he placed it onto his lap cheerily. The cat didnt seem to mind much and turned its attention on getting Kin to scratch him. Louis clapped his hands childishly, ecstatic to see that the cat liked him and that Kin liked the cat. The more people, the better chance they had in keeping it.

He frowned a bit at his siblings words, the very word death making him shiver horribly. He knew little about even the concept of dying, but his instincts told him that this presents was to be feared. Uneasy from Elidi's words, he scooted closer to his brothers and sisters, hoping that Kin's reassurance was true.

"Our powers are great yes?" He asked Kin, "But we will leave when they return, I sense wrongness in this death as well..." Turning his attention back to the cat, Louis picked up the stick again and wiggled it just above the animals head. Naturally it swatted at it playfully.

"Yes! May we keep her? We've named the monster Donivina!" He chirped happily to his sister.

Kin grinned at Louis' giggling. The sound of his siblings laughter, or just knowing they were happy made him more relaxed. It meant he wouldn't have to be worried for them or be on watch for danger. However when the cat was placed on the lap, attempting to get him to scratch it, he looked surprised. Staring at the cat for a moment, he smiled again before gently tickling it under the chin. This 'Cat' was much more friendly than the humans had been. Perhaps they should wipe out humans before they left, so that kind creatures like this 'Cat' could rule instead. The idea made Kin chuckle to himself.

Glancing back to Louis, he felt bad for getting him worried. So he nodded at his question, trying to look cheerful. "Yep, very strong, unbeatable" He answered in a strong tone. At Louis' next words though, he sighed, gazing down at the cat and stroking it gently.

"Donivina? That's a bit long, how about Doni for short?" He asked as he watched the cat playfully swatting at the stick again.

Shay smiled hearing Louis giggle but when he heard about death he moved closer to everyone. He kept his face blank of emotion and made sure that he didn't make anything explode. He didn't want anything to die or get hurt at the moment. "yes, very very very strong." he said with a slight smile and stroked the cats head.

"but I think Doni will be fine for her." he said as he watched the cat play. She was so cute and he was glad to keep her.

"Donivina sounds prettier, but Doni is good too," He said and petted the cat lovingly from his spot on the ground. He liked the little cat, and he liked the name as well, even though it was remarkably strange and infact not all that pretty. He couldnt help but feel the tiniest prang of resentment towards Kin for shortening his name. It wasnt a big deal, but he was still unhappy with it. Unable to hide it by the small objects that began to fly around, Louis tryed to push it out of his head.

The feeling didnt last long as the cat swatted at the many little rocks and pebbles and such that were whirling around the air. Louis laughed and thrusted more pieces into orbit.

Vesper looked at his sister and nodded. So many times he had woken up to find her gone. He always knew where she was though. Ade loved to watch and learn about the humans. Something the humans did not really try with them. He folded the piece of paper and shoved it back into his pocket. Throwing it away would just be rude of him. Although he would never really call the girl. Vesper took some of the heavy stuff from Ade and started to head back towards the camp. He could suddenly feel death in the air. Vesper took a deep breath as his heart pounded against his chest. One feeling he hated more than any was to be afraid.

"just keep walking.." He told Ade out loud. Covering up his own fear. He repeated the statement over and over. Quieter each time. Just to reassure himself more than anything.

Everyone seemed so tense all of the sudden. Kin didn't like it and he frowned before gently pushing the cat away from him. He didn't want to accidently set her fur on fire, it was so soft after all! Every so often now he could feel a shiver running down his spine and he closed his eyes. However it was too dark if he kept them closed. Jumping slightly, he shook his head again, looking irritated. Watching as small flames danced across his finger tips, he smiled to his siblings.

"Yes, Donivina is a good name! But you know I have problems remembering anything longer than three syllables." He joked, trying to make sure Louis wouldn't be too upset with him. "When are the others going to come? They're getting food right? Cause I'm hungry!" He asked suddenly.
