"Hello... this is Gloria Seshet. I know this is a late hour, and this may be an unusual request but..." She paused took a deep breath and continued. "My friend Madeline and I are going out to a club downtown called Crazy Horse tomorrow night and I was wondering if you were free to go?" She ran that last together almost as one continuous word. God, she felt like she was asking her first boyfriend out on a date. It was so strange.

(conversation would work good on MSN then we could capsulize it here if you want too)

((I prefer via forum honestly. I get lost in IMs if I suddenly jump off a forum to do something in IM and then back in forum o_o))

As her ears keyed in on the most important words, she had to think to figure out what club the woman was speaking of. "Oh- a club?" She finally figured out what was meant by the word. "I don't have any work tomorrow, actually, so I was looking for something to do. Are you sure you want the crazy psychologist from the facility to join you though?" She giggled a bit, clearly joking. "Sorry. I had to ask- it isn't common for my to get asked to do anything, especially not by a client of any kind. It sounds fun though. If you're positive about the invitation, I'll definitely say yes to it. Sounds like fun- I could use that."

( sure, no problem )

"Uh... well yeah, you can't be crazy right? Not if you're working in a... where you're working right? And yes I'm sure. Did you want me to pick you up? I'm the designated driver for the night so I'm already going to be behind the wheel anyway. I need to be at Madeline's house by 9pm but she's only a few blocks from my house. Where and when should I pick you up?" She felt odd. Not like she usually did when she asked friends to go out palling around. Somehow this was different, but she pushed it out of her mind for now.

"I live just outside the city... Would it be possible for me to just go to your home and then leave from there with you? I'm a bit ways out of the way, I think. So.... Just to make it easier... Would it be okay if I went over to your place and we left there? I'll need your address though... And it's probably good you're designated driver. I don't really get drunk, but... I do have a couple drinks sometimes when I go out to those places. I'll warn you that now." She smiled into the phone. "So... Is it a plan then?"

"Sure. I assumed you had my address from my file." She proceeded to give the address and directions to Miyu. "Thanks a lot for saying yes! I think we'll have a lot of fun!"

With that, she said goodbye to Miyu and hung up the phone. She fell back on the bed and gasped. Why was her heart racing so much? This was totally weird but it felt good. It wasn't long before she had fallen asleep for the evening, thoughts of what would happen the next evening filling her head.

(sorry so short, good night and happy new year!)

((S'okay. Happy New Year ^^))

Miyu let out a sigh of relief and put the phone away, sitting on her comforter and stretching her legs before laying down again. "Thank goodness... Something to do tomorrow. I think I'll go early so I don't get lost... But jeez... What timing!" She laughed. "Someone's stalking me and telling her stuff, I swear, sometimes. But... I'm excited for some reason. I don't go to those sorts of places normally. It sounds fun though- why?"

Gloria set down the phone and immediately started to think about what she was going to wear tomorrow night. "Maybe the black strapless dress... Yeah." she decided. She stretched out and nodded off almost immediately.

She had another dream but this time it was about Miyu. When she woke up in the morning, she was still trembling. But it definitely was not a nightmare. After she got up, she washed up and changed her sheets, then proceeded to cook herself a huge breakfast; eggs, pancakes, bacon. She laid into her breakfast with gusto, as if she hadn't eaten in weeks.

After cleaning up the kitchen following breakfast, Gloria paused. She had nothing to do until around seven o'clock tonight when she'd get ready for going out with Maddy and Miyu. She never had a lot of alone time before, it was always full of work or school or homework.

Eventually, she decided to go online and putter around. She spent an hour or so like this, and ended up clearing out her email. One particular email that she would have deleted out of hand as spam attracted her attention "GirlxGirl Action" was the subject line. There was a time where that would have flat out disgusted her, but this time she clicked into it. Before she knew it, it was three in the afternoon and she had to go wash up in the bathroom again.

"Well, at least I'm not going postal anymore," she told herself as she made herself a light lunch before turning in for a quick catnap. She set her alarm and crawled back into bed, waiting for the evening.

Miyu's eyes opened when the sun rose, her emerald eyes dazed by the lingering traces of slumber still controlling her to some extent. Her pink hair tumbled down aimlessly at her sides, back, and basically all over as she got up from the bed. When had she fallen asleep? She couldn't remember at all. But, it was a good sleep, she assumed. She felt well-rested, after all.

After showering and changing into some hang-out clothes- which, in her case, was just a long shirt that seemed more like a dress, slightly short shorts and otherwise very little else since she'd be alone for the day anyway, Miyu proceeded to making a nice breakfast for herself. In her case, it was simple (as she wasn't the best of cooks in the world)- toasted waffles, which she just barely managed to keep from burning, some juice and a small scrambled egg dish of some kind. She was not too hungry, so she only made a minimal amount, but at it all with a content sigh soon after. She cleaned up and went to the living room. She had some time before she had to do really anything at all.

When it was time to get ready to leave, she rushed to her room in a hurry, trying to decide on something that would really make sense to wear. What did people wear in clubs again? It would be a miracle if she remembered. Getting the confusion out of her head, she ended up going for a mid-drift revealing red sweater that had no sleeves, except for the ones that were really only there to attach the white hood that would keep her head dry if she needed it to. The front included a large yellow star. She also put on a somewhat short brown skirt, similar to her old uniform from university, and underneath it put some sheer black tights on to keep a bit warmer. After putting her shoes on and brushing out any stray hairs from her face, she smiled to herself and went to her car.

She left easily, pulling out of her driveway without much hassle and slowly driving down empty streets in the outskirts of the city, making her way to the address using the directions she'd been given. She was early- it was only six when she left, so she'd be there at about six-thirty max. Getting to the right address, she opened her driver's door and walked up to the door. With slight hesitation, she rang the doorbell. Hope I'm not too early...

Gloria rolled over and smacked the alarm. It was only six thirty, she'd set it for seven? Then she heard it again. Wait, was that the doorbell? Who would be here so early?

She got out of bed, tossed on her black silk robe, and walked to the door. She peeked through the peephole. "Miyu! Uh, give me a moment. You're pretty early. Come on in, and wait in the living room. I wasn't ready yet." She opened the door and let her in, dressed only in the robe she put on.

"I'll be back soon. Everything is all put together, I just have to get my clothes and makeup on. I shouldn't be more than twenty minutes." Wow, she thought, Why is she here so early? Could it be she likes me too?. She showed Miyu to the couch in the living room, awaiting some sort of response before she left the room to get ready.

(( off to work for me, I'll check again tonight ))

((No problem. Take care ^^))

Miyu's smile was still as elegant as a teenager's despite her age- she hadn't quite grown up in some ways, her face included many times. Though its shape was that of an adult, it certainly held some flakes of childish demeanor. "Thank you. I'm sorry- I didn't know what time to come, so I decided I'd leave early so I would be assured I could be on time in case I got lost." That wasn't the whole story, but it was the general gist of it for the most part. Taking the offer to go inside, she happily walked to the couch as instructed, sitting quietly, nodding to her.

"It's fine- I did not mean to interrupt your evening in any way. Please take your time. I can wait." She smiled softly, her eyes gazing at the woman without much shame. Though she knew the woman had a robe on, she knew that was often considered indecent to people (herself included). However, she still couldn't help but smile at it- it was attractive, and though she would normally feel shame for noting such a thing in her mind, she ignored the blinking warning light in her head for the time being. "Thank you though."

"Great!, I'll just be a little while. The remote for the TV is on the table, and there's bottled water in the fridge if you want some." With that, Gloria dashed out of the room, the robe rippling up and exposing her behind for a brief moment as she did.

Why in the world was she here at six thirty for an eight thirty arrival? A lot of those scientific types are socially backward; I guess she's one of them. Gloria mused to herself as she entered her bedroom. She pulled on some of her nice silk undies and her favorite push-up strapless bra. Before she put on her dress, she'd do her makeup. She didn't want to overdo it, but she did use blush, some eyeshadow, and a bit of pale lipgloss.

She stepped into the little strapless dress (backwards at first so she could zip it, then twisted it around to wiggle it into place) and then went to work on her hair. That was always the biggest challenge. Her hair was almost always wild and unmanageable. Today, she teased it out a bit and sprayed it into place.

Gloria stood and surveyed herself. She looked good. Not bad, she had it all done in fifteen minutes. But it was still a quarter to seven and she wasn't going to leave for Maddy's place until half past eight! That gave her almost two hours of being alone with Miyu before heading out.

She had no idea what she was going to do, but she stepped out into the living room. "Thanks for waiting, but we can't leave for Maddy's place 'til about eight thirty, so..." Gloria faded off her speech, not knowing what to fill it in with.

"It's okay. I know we weren't supposed to leave until then. I was mostly coming early since of the two of you, you're the only one I know. So... To me, it'd be fun to get to be with you first just on my own- I like the idea of having you to myself." She knew it'd come out wrong as soon as her lips started moving to speak. However, it was indeed the truth. Very true, in fact.

She had never been very understandable, and it was also known to some that men never seemed as interesting to Miyu as they could. She'd never had any interest in the only real male she talked to at all on a regular basis, Joe. He was a wonderful friend, and to her he was a brother if anything, but other then that she would never have romantic intrigue in him, and the same went the opposite way. Joseph did date other girls, but Miyu never seemed to like dating other guys. It was natural- she was more interested in females then males. It was that simple.

As her green eyes grazed upon the girl that had come out, admiring the beauty she saw. Gloria was an interesting character to Miyu, there was no question about that. She was also attractive, which again Miyu would not deny. However, Gloria was Miyu's client- that was why Miyu was to be careful about anything. She couldn't become too interested in some other way. "You look lovely," She noted softly, smiling.

"Why, thank you!" Gloria said in response to the compliment. "Having me to yourself, hm? Is that on a professional... or personal basis?" What the hell am I doing hitting on a girl? Am I insane? she thought. As she said this she walked with a bit of an exaggerated sway of her hips as she sat down next to Miyu.

She leaned back a bit on the couch and looked over at her. "Trouble is, you seem to mix personal and professional so completely it's tough to tell them apart. But still I want to know, which is it?" Gloria winked at Miyu. Oh God, can I be more shameless in this flirtation? Why don't you just kiss her again, Gloria? she internalized but never let her face show that is what she was thinking.

Miyu giggled mischievously. "Which would you rather it be?" She winked back in the similar flirtatious manner, though mostly to be playful. "I do mix personal and professional, yes... Though at work it's for a professional reason. Wouldn't you feel more comfortable talking to a friend about certain issues than some person that is doing such things as a job? Yes, I get paid to help people- but I started this profession to do just that. To help. What good is it if people don't feel able to open up to me? It just wastes them their time and money if they can't feel safe with me. That's why I try to be personal too- so that they're comfy with me and can actually let me help them. Though... Is that what I'm doing right now? Hm... Nah, I don't think so."

She gave another light smirk. "A therapist wouldn't go to a club for professional ideas. This is strictly personal right now, my dear." She cursed herself inside for calling her what she had, but it just came out like a sudden wisp of air in the spring- she didn't expect it, just like when a weatherman finds out something is off about the prediction.

"Hmm." Gloria stretched for a moment then turned sideways to face Miyu whilst sitting next to her on the couch. "Well then, since we are being personal, I'm going to ask you a personal question." She took a deep breath and paused, thinking, Here's where I find out how screwed up I've been looking at this.

"I am trying to find a way to word this, but it all comes out as rather forward or awkward or both, so I'm just going to come out and ask; Miyu, do you prefer women, and if so, are you attracted to me?" There, she said it. There was no dodging that question now. For better or worse, Gloria would know.

"Am I really that predictable?" Miyu chuckled slightly. Lovely- she'd been figured out so easily! Was that normal? With Miyu, not at all. It took people ages to figure her out- how did this woman figure her out so easily and without difficulty though? "Yes, I prefer women. You can ask my closest friend- he knows better then anyone about that fact. As for whether or not I am attracted to you?"

She took her time to answer, pretending she had to think to do so. Her index finger gently tickled under her chin, deciding on how to respond by sending signals to her brain in some way or another. Getting an idea, she glanced at her curiously. "I don't know- do you think I am? I'd like to see how good you are at guessing. If you get it right, you'll get a prize." She smiled impishly. "And you can have hints if you need them."

"Hmm..." Gloria sidled up to Miyu and looked into her eyes. "I didn't know at first, because you never reacted much before. But, yes, I think you are attracted to me. I have never ever been attracted to a woman before, but somehow I am attracted to you."

She shrugged, then winked at Miyu. "So, did I win the prize?" Gloria asked?

She sheepishly thought again, playfully trying to navigate her mind for the prize more then to check if her answer was correct. "Now you know why I'd probably not be a good therapist for you." Her voice was a soft, interestingly calm murmur as she leaned closer to Gloria's face (though more to the side of it then to the center). Smiling, she lightly placed a peck on the woman's cheek, then went back to her casual yet somewhat professional sitting position with her knee over the other, a small smile still clouding her face. "You were right on target. Whether or not you consider that a prize? I have no idea."

"The acknowledgment itself is a prize, but that hardly qualifies as a kiss. Maybe after you're liquored up I'll get a better one." Gloria giggled.

"No matter. We still have over an hour and a half before we have to be on our way to Maddy's place. We could watch TV, or maybe grab a bite to eat so we're not so empty when we get to Crazy Horse... What would you like to do?"

Gloria shifted so she was sitting in a normal position on the couch and looked over at Miyu, a giddiness in her heart that she hadn't felt in years bubbling over her. It reminded her of when she had her very first boyfriend, which she supposed wasn't all that odd considering the current circumstances.

"Oh, I handle my liquor pretty well, believe it or not. Though..." Her teasing smile seemed to come back to grace her lips once more. "I also just have no practice. Of course it wouldn't qualify. I don't have a degree in that." She let a slight giggle exit her air-pipe, curiosity trying to get the best of her as she tried to tame it. "Do you happen to have a degree in it? I could use a qualified teacher~" After hearing herself speak, however, she caught her peculiar wording. That... Definitely came out wrong... I wonder how she'll react though?

When what to do was noted, she thought a bit before trying to decide between the ideas represented by the woman next to her. Food or television? She was rather hungry, and television wasn't exactly her forte, so it made sense to choose that. For Miyu, the television was only good when she was craving information. Right now, the only information she wanted was information only receivable through Gloria- she wanted to know Gloria better, and you couldn't learn about a person near you in a textbook nearly as well as from them themselves. "How about some food? This way we can talk more, and still get something into us. I'm sorta hungry anyway~"

"I don't know about having a degree in kissing, but practice makes perfect huh?" Holy crap, if she swallows that line she's as ga-ga over me as I seem to be over her! How embarrassing! She reached past Miyu, their chests brushing each other for a moment as she grabbed the receiver of her wireless phone. "Food it is then. Don't have time for me to really cook anything, but we can order in. I know of a chinese place nearby who'll deliver quickly. Any preferences?" Gloria said as she was dialing.I wonder if she'll do the whole 'in bed' thing with the fortune cookies?

"Hm... Chinese, eh?" She thought for a moment, her finger lightly tracing a simple line on her chin as she tried to decide on an answer. What /was/ her preference? She had to come up with something. That was when she decided. "Hm... Perhaps some orange chicken? I'm in the mood for something slightly...spicy." She giggled a bit to herself, smiling to her. "Though I'll happily just share whatever you were going to have. That'd be fine too... I don't need much anyway~"

"Orange chicken it is then!" She finished the call, and placed the order for a large container of orange chicken, one of fried rice, and one of chow mein. Actually she just said orange chicken, fried rice, and chow mein for two, but that's what ended up coming, and quickly.

No more than half an hour had gone by when the doorbell rang and she got up to get the order. That last half hour was a rather awkward one where all they had done by way of conversation was giggle and make sexual innuendos towards each other; in a way she would be glad to have something else to occupy her thoughts and time for awhile.

Miyu let out a soft sigh when the food came. She was both relieved and regretful when the food had come- it would ease the rather interesting and somewhat peculiar conversation, but she also had enjoyed just hearing Gloria's voice. Standing up swiftly, she walked over to the door as well, smiling quietly. "Would you like some help bringing it in or anything? It's the least I can do- after all, you are letting me stay at your house for a while. Shouldn't I at least be helpful?"

"Sure." She pulled out a $20 and handed it to Miyu. "Give this to the delivery boy, and I'll go get the plates and stuff from the kitchen." Gloria headed over to the kitchen and got out a pair of her good plates and silverware to go with them. Whilst Miyu was paying and getting the food, Gloria set the table. She thought about it, and went back to the fridge and got out a couple of bottles of water to put by the plates too, since she'd forgotten to order the Thai Tea she usually ordered.

She waited at the table for Miyu to come over.
