Kay was furious at herself as she fled the kitchen. Furious at everything that had happened. Why am I always screwing up everything? First I wreck the truck, then I get stuck here. I piss everyone here off. I let Ceri Kiss, I didnt stop her, and busted a cup, and hurt my hands, now I bleeding and LYRE is pissed about that? Kay sat on one of the pillows in the darkest corner of the room. Night was starting to fall and no lights had been lit in there yet. Kiryn was still dozing sitting just like she had left him. Kay was completely alone, and felt completely alone. She sat huddled in her corner, rewrapping her hands. Knowing no one would see her or care, Kay started to cry. It was just a soft sob, and the only person she was crying for was herself, i just want to go home, if no one here wants me. She held her bleeding hands against her face as she sobbed, and the tears worked their way through the bandages and burned the fresh cuts in her skin.

"I-I..." He bit his bottom lip. He couldn't even speak correctly yet. Instead he tried to concentrate on Ceri's hand, the one resting on his knee. Slowly...barely noticeably, the pain started to ebb away. When it was finally gone Lyre slumped backwards, breathing heavily. His eyes went up to meet with Ceri's and he attempted another half smile, "I..." he stopped and then gave a dark chuckle, "Wouldn't you know it? I'm going crazy." he replied truthfully, why did it matter anymore? The medicine was barely helping now anyway, better to get it over with now right? And anyway, that didn't mean she would believe him. He laughed again, a dark humor, and then coughed. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths before struggling back to his feet, "I still have to apologize..." he murmured, using the wall as a support, seeing as his legs were still quiet wobbly.
((Nuu...now Lyre's gonna be depressed he made Kay cry...>.>))

((Pity parties rock, especially when you throw them for yourself ^_^ and that is SO what kay is doing right now.... I wonder if anyone else will join her for the pity party or tell her she is still a silly human
BTW I have been waiting for a good chance to make Kay cry, so dont feel too bad, it was going to happen eventually, I figure, in a situation as stressful as this one is for Kay, its the only thing she has left to do))

Ceri sighed, shaking her head. “You already were crazy, never hurt you before.” She responded cheerfully, uncertain if it could really be so simple. She saw him wobble and frowned, tilting her head to the side and twitching one ear. “Lyre…… until you’re not wobbling, You’re not going anywhere… I’ll go get her… sit on the stairs…” She commanded, and not one to take no for an answer she gripped his wrists and gently pushed him forward before lowering him to a stair.
She then turned, walking forward towards the living room Kay’d been sent to. She sighed, shaking her head “Lyre wants to apolo-…..ohm…” She said softly, simply as she saw Kay in the corner. She’d seen quiet sobs often enough to recognize the subtle shoulder movement so knew exactly what was going on. She let out a huff of air, starting to wonder how she was being forced into the role of nurse. “Hey… what’s the problem here?” She asked finally, walking forward and awkwardly putting a hand on Kay’s shoulder.
((ceri’s so clueless lol))

Kay brushed the hand off her shoulder. "Just leave me alone," she choked out between sobs. She didnt say anything else, but sobbed a little harder.

Ceri snapped back her hand and shoved both her hands firmly into her pockets. She pushed her bottom lip out in a pout a moment, looking almost comically childish. Sighing Ceri shook her head, leaning her shoulder against the wall and crossing her ankles. “Can’t… “ Ceri responded verbally, playing with the edge of her glove a moment. For once the demon wasn’t trying to take over… too busy laughing at Ceri’s cluelessness and inner struggle. She barely resisted the urge to growl. “Look…I…erm….sorry….” She mumbled, figuring if it was something SHE did then that might help…

Kay briefly looked at Ceri then looked back down, "Why are you sorry?" Kay couldnt understand why Ceri was standing here appologizing when Kay knew everything was her own fault. Kay felt bad about everything that had happened because not once since she got to Underhill had she done something right.

“I dunno….. Kissed you, pinned you against a wall, hurt your wrist, yelled at you, insulted you… hmmm…… think that covers it.” Ceri responded with a shrug. She kept her hands in her pockets now, half pacing as she attempted to comfort the girl in her own screwy way. She then looked towards her and gave her a smirk, followed by a wink. “Unless you liked the kiss, then I just apologize for the rest of it.” She added with a soft chuckle.

Kay turned to face the room, and Ceri. She was still sobbing, but at least Ceri had gotten Kay to acknowledge her. "But... but I provoked you in all of it. How can you say its your fault?" Kay didnt understand why Ceri was being so nice to her now. And Ceri's comment about the kiss.... should Kay just tell her she still didnt know if she liked it? Well it was a good kiss, better than any I have ever been given Kay thought but it was so different from anything Ive known. I just dont know what to think about anything anymore. Kay waited for Ceri's answer before she spoke any more... she still didnt trust her own voice not to give away everything that was in her heart or her head.

Nah…well maybe the kiss you provoked. What’s a bi girl to do when you walk around with that cute ass in little denim shorts like that hmm?” Ceri answered simply, glancing out the window as her gaze slowly gained a faraway stare. “I’m just the impatient kind is all, learning takes time…. You know… when I first went to the human world I blew up a car because I couldn’t figure out how to use it….that was interesting to explain.” The elf paused to toss her raven hair and chuckle gently.
It was a dark sound but there was a bit of almost happiness to it too. She then turned and ruffled Kay’s hair. “I wasn’t any better then you are now… Hell I was worse because I have a temper and the firepower to back it up. So stop your crying, your blaming and lets go to Lyre .. So he can apologize and blame himself for everything.” Ceri then smirked down at her, waiting.

"So you are really being nice to me now? Geez I must look pathetic," Kay whiped her face with the back of her hand then went to push off the floor. She sucked in a hiss of air as her bandages pressed into the cuts on her hands. After she stood up she looked at Ceri. "You really blew up a car? How did you manage that?" Kay let Ceri lead her back to where Lyre was, still sniffling a little.

“meh, don’t’ push your luck, I just don’t like crying” Ceri lied with a shrug, pulling her hands out of her pockets a moment. She gripped Kay’s wrist a moment again and drew her hand upwards to see where the bandages were putting pressure on them. “Poor Kay… You really need to curb that temper of yours….” She teased, letting go of her wrist. Slowly she raised her eyes to Kays and grinned sheepishly, shrugging her shoulders. “Oh and the car? Fireball to the gas tank… fire spells definitely have their uses… you’d be good at those” Ceri mused the last aloud.

"I dont know... you wouldnt want to teach me when I am mad... if I can bust cups with my hands... I would hate to see what a fire ball would have done to Lyre's kitchen." For the first time in almost an hour Kay smiled. "Umm... Is Lyre really mad at me for busting his cup... I mean I already threw goo on his pillows, but he cleaned it up ok... but I seem to be hell bent on destroying his things..."

“Nah, He was just worrying… Lyre is hard to piss off…. He rarely even gets mad at me.” Ceri winked then and playfully put her hand on the middle of Kay’s back, leaning over to whisper in a soft velvety tone with her lips nearly on Kay‘s ear. “Now go let him be all sad and sorry… Or I’ll kiss you harder next time.” With that she chuckled and pushed Kay forward gently. Feeling the demon rise she simply smirked to herself, sliding away from Kay now that she’d done her tease. Finally… everything was alright now. She worried a bit still for Lyre though….

Kay walked over to where Lyre was still sitting. "Um... Hey Lyre, Im sorry about your cup, and floor, and pillows and everything." She looked over her shoulder to see if Ceri was still watching. "Im sorry if I havent seemed greatful after everything you have done for me...."

Lyre smiled and shook his head softly, "No, it's alright. I should be apologizing to you." He attempted to get up and then gave up again when he realized his legs still couldn't hold his full weight, "i shouldn't have snapped at you like that. You didn't do anything on purpose."

But then Kay realized Lyre was having trouble standing, "Lyre whats wrong with your legs?" She knelt down beside him and looked over at Ceri. "Ceri, his legs... he cant stand..."

Lyre waved his hands in front of himself defensively, "no it's nothing. i'm fine, i just fell, that's all." He quickly climbed to his feet, effectively hiding all discomfort as he moved swiftly towards the kitchen. "I'm sorry, this will only take a moment." then he disappeared into the kitchen. Once inside he immediately went for the sink and his knuckles went white as he clutched the edge, using it to support his weight.

Ceri watched the two a moment, tilting her head to the side. She expected something similar as they exchanged apologies but Lyre’s weakness in his legs worried her a little. He was as bad as she was about letting people help him, she thought absently. Still, she said nothing, simply leaning on the doorjam and crossing her arms as she watched the two from the hall…He wasn't telling her enough.... and wouldn't in front of Kay she knew...

Kay followed Lyre to the kitchen. "Do you mind if I watch? I just want to learn how everything in your kitchen works so I can help next time." Kay was once again feeling like she wanted to stay in Underhill, but she wanted to be able to pull her own weight, not drag everyone else down.

As soon as she walked in Lyre straightened up and smiled, "Of course." He pulled some vegetarian things out and prepared that rather quickly before turning to Kay, "Actually...you might need to learn some magic before you can do anything in this kitchen..." He walked over to another part of the kitchen that had an opening in the side and a flat surface on top, kinda like a stove. "A simple fire spell is all actually."

She watched Lyre moving around the kitchen. Either he is feeling much better or he is a better liar that I give him credit for.

Lyre chuckled, even as a spasm shot through his body, "Yea, that would work, but I'd suggest something simpler, maybe a flame?" He held up one hand and a small green flame kindled in his palm, "...though I suggest you stick with red and orange flames..." His eyes narrowed in concentration and the fire went back to it's normal hues of red, yellows, and oranges, which he promptly placed on a stack of wood chips which he had placed in the opening. These produced a nice flame. then he went over to the grocery bags he had brought in and pulled meat out, handing it to Kay, "Here, you can go cook yourself hamburgers."

((Oh dear, we left the meat sitting out all this time >.< haha))
"Yes! Burgers! Are you sure no one else wants some? They are very tasty." Kay had begun to roll the meat into fist sized balls and then pound it relatively flat. Hamburgers were her favorite food ever. She placed the patties in the opening close enough to the flame to cook, but not so close that they would burn.
((I am going to assume this is more like a brick oven, since it has a hole with fire in it... if you prefer a different type of oven let me know and I will edit this post))
