Lyre blinked in surprise, "If I take that, will you promise to not get up again? You look like you're about to fall over." He answered, a half hearted smile on his face. He reached out a hand and plucked the fruit from Kay's fingers, taking a small bite from it. Then he sank to the floor, sitting cross legged on the floor. He looked back up at Kay with a half amused expression on his face, "Now will you please go sit back down?" he inquired.

"Yes I will" Kay said with a proud smile. She walked back over to her cusions, but lost her balance, and went sprawling across the floor. She pushed herself back up and finished by crawling to her little pillow pile. "See, if you were taking better care of yourself in the first place, then I wouldnt have had to get up." She smiled at Lyre though.
"Ceri, do you remeber the first time you used the magics of the blade?" she asked.

Ceri glanced at Lyre, frowning at him. He wouldn’t tell her anything so there was nothing she could do but part of her wondered if there was more to it… Dismissing the idea as she heard the question she looked to Kay, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah….” She answered honestly, though inwardly uncertain. Her act of sacrifice was pulling the demon into herself so the blade going to her had nearly killed her as it came onto her moments later….It had burned all over… so badly.

"Well, do you remember how long it took until you started to feel normal again, I mean, just feel not so weak? If that panther comes back, I cant be stuck sitting here...." What Kay did not say was that she felt like every one would be counting on her, since she was the only person with a demon killing blade, and I dont even really know how it works, I guess I will just have to hope that the stupid thing talks to me like last time....

Ceri watched her a moment, shrugging her shoulders as she glanced downward in thought a moment. “I imagine it depends on each individual…it’s attaching to your spiritual energy… but you’ll be fine… Don’t worry over something you can’t do anything about.” Ceri chuckled gently and pushed off the wall, heading to the kitchen. She had the dagger… could it harm demons? She didn’t know… she just knew that her role was clear… defender and teacher … meh…

Ceri suspected him. That much he was sure of. Lyre sighed once again and then got to his feet despite his promise to Kay about resting. "I...will be right back." he murmured and then moved down the front hall and out the front door. He cast a look to the sky. It was getting lighter out, morning was fast approaching. He had a few more hours before the fountains closed, now would be a good time to go visit the mermaids. He swung himself up the tree his home was in and then continued through the trees, branch to branch until the fountains came into sight, illuminated by moonlight.

Kay rolled her eyes at Lyre as he left the house. He doesnt listen very wellshe mused to herself, but at least he had eaten something before he left. Kay could tell morning was fast approaching, and knew she had not slept at all, but for some reason she was not tired. At least I can understandhis restlessness. Kay didnt feel like sleeping, but didnt know what she wanted to do either. She felt like she should be doing something though, other than sitting there like a bump on a log. Maybe when it is full daylight out, I can convince Ceri to comeout side with me and let me try her out as a practice dummy... Kay smiled at the idea...and fiddled with the circlett on her head... she studied the others, wondering what they were thinking about.

Kiryn was silent, brooding and the like. Arms crossed across his chest and those gossamer wings twitching with annoyance and agitation. He had let it escape, it would surely come back for them. They were all in danger and it was his fault. Those violet eyes widened suddenly and he turned towards Ceri. Anger burning fiercely in his gaze.

Not his fault. It was "Your fault!" He accused, voice heavy with many emotions. "You've brought this creature upon us." He advanced towards Ceri, an arm shooting out to grab her by the throat. "And the demon before this one..Why was it here, was that because of you as well?" Fingers squeezed a bit and he lifted her from the ground by her throat and turned, tossing her to the side, but at the cushions so she would land softly on the cushions that weren't being used.

He advanced towards her, fingers closed tightly around that sword hilt. "Tell me witch woman." He glanced at Kay. "Tell us..Tell us everything. If lives are lost here because of you, I swear on the Queen's life I will destroy you." Already that sword was halfway out of it's sheath.

Lyre landed in front of his house a small pouch hanging around his waist swinging with his motion. He stood and quickly moved into the house, the mermaid's words echoing in his head 'The medicine isn't going to work much longer Lyre...you don't have much time left. Don't overexert yourself, the stress is causing the insanity to advance faster...' As if he didn't know that. He untied the medicine and placed it onto a side table before entering the sitting area. He stopped in the doorway, taking in the situation before slamming his full force into Kiryn, knocking them both into the wall. He took a step back, "What do you think you're doing?" He asked icily, taking a position in front of Ceri.

He was caught off guard. Startled even when Lyre slammed into him. Suprisingly he hadn't heard the elf return. A low grunt escaped him from the impact. Those angry, fierce eyes turning to Lyre when the elf had stepped back. His hand had fallen from the half drawn sword, the weapon had slid harmlessly back into it's sheath. Kiryn leaned against the wall a bit heavily. He still seethed with anger, anger and frustration.

"I have a right to question the witch woman." He stepped away from the wall, rubbing at one of his shoulders. His eyes flicking from Lyre to Ceri and back again. "That..demon thing...will return and lives could be lost. And she.." He pointed an accusing finger at Ceri. "Does nothing but shrug it off and act like we don't need to know anything. I can't just walk away, I've already gotten myself too involved and now, I need to know the truth. The ENTIRE truth. Asking her questions does not get results, all she does is shrug them off or change the subject..." Those eyes narrowed. "If the only way to get answers is by force, then so be it, I will have the answers I seek."

"Then maybe you need to earn her answers. Not force them out of her." Lyre said. "There's a reason why she hides what she does." The dull pounding was back, did throwing himself at Kiryn count as overexerting? He couldn't think clearly...He raised a hand uncertainly to his head in an attempt to make the room stop spinning. What was he saying...?

Kiryn huffed. "She puts us all in danger and I'm supposed EARN answers?" His eyes narrowed dangerously. "She OWES us answers. She endangers us with her pet demons and then refuses to tell us a damn thing." His right hand clenched and unclenched, his eyes were on Ceri. "The Queen is right..No matter what, Witch people cannot and should not be trusted. Betrayers of truth." He was so angry his entire body was trembling from it. His gaze shifted, going to Lyre.

His anger didn't subside, but his tone softened somewhat. "You are unwell. Go rest, you have my word I won't kill her, if she tells me everything I need to know." He looked Lyre over once and shook his head slightly. "You need to rest..especially if that demon comes back..which it probably will. You'll be no good at protecting the women if your sick." He watched Lyre expectantly. Those gossamer wings still twitching with agitation.

He sat down where he was, wincing slightly as the movement jarred his head, "No, I don't want you touching her." he stated., refusing to move from his spot, at least the room had stopped spinning. Then he sighed letting his hand fall, "Next time...it'll be something worse..." he whispered.

Ceri clenched her hands as she was picked up by the throat, her nails already glittering with magical power …yet she restrained it. Anybody else would have lost their hand before they could even through her but she tolerated it… for now. As she was thrown she reacted only by twisting her body so she landed in a crouching position on the cushions before stepping into a standing position. When she spoke there was a deadly calm about her, the demon at rest so only Ceri stood there… a very unhappy Ceri.

She spoke casually, almost gently to Lyre as she placed a hand on his shoulder. “You can stay in this room but only if you sit on the cushions and rest. I will be alright…you should know me better.” And in all honesty she figured he should… she hadn’t been able to interfere with a whole coven’s magic for nothing…she was not one to be fooled with.

She then turned to Kiryn, having listened to his rant but not especially concerned with it. She had been blamed for such things even as a child by the community outside her family so it wasn’t as if any of it was something she hadn’t heard before. This time he was half right though…that was an interesting feeling. Kay being a chosen wielder though… that changed everything. That meant the blade, and the demons it attracted, would have found its way here anyway. The holy stone was not something that could be avoided or escaped.

She turned to Kyrin, the deadly calm returning and her voice cold as ice. “I would not advise touching me like that again. I gave you a freebee this time but lift that blade against me again and the queen will have to miss you dearly. If that is not perfectly clear I will gladly demonstrate why you’d best not try again…” She then lifted one of her glowing hands and Kiryn would lift with it, unable to move down, up, forward, or back so only able to lash around in the air helplessly a few moments as she continued to speak.

“ the demons did not come for me, but the holy stone. Kay is apparently a chosen wielder so it would have found its way to her in this time, in this place, no matter what was done. No one can escape it. I know zythera through another source, however, so he may return…along with his master, for me. …even if she is supposed to be dead….” For a moment that icy calm slipped and she looked almost worried but it faded quickly as she turned her piercing gaze on Kiryn. “His master will come only for me so is none of your concern, simply stay out of her way… no matter what she does to me. Now….are you calm enough for me to let you down?”

((Ceri's pissed XD....))

Kay stared at Kiryn in shock... He normally acts so logically what has gotten into him... When he threw Ceri into the pillows Kay jumped shakily to her feet, only then realizing how truely weak she was. She placed her hand on the wall next to her just to remain on her feet. She was also out of breath just from trying to stand. She sat there listened to the blood pulsing in her own head, the Blade screaming in her mind not to do anything right now. It told her Ceri was in full control and not the demon, so Kay listened to it. When she finally was able to get her bearings, she saw Ceri with a glowing hand raised in the air, and Kiryn Suspended mid-air.

"CERI, Put him Down! Kiryn please dont try and kill her because then she will Never be able to give answers." Kay slowly moved to the center of the room, between Ceri and Kiryn. "I know we are all worried about the Demon Panther coming back and Kiryn you have every reason to worry about it hurting one of us.... But it wont have to do a single thing if we hurt each other first.... Can we please all just sit down and discuss this like rational people? I think we are all too tired and we all have lost our ability to reason right now."
Kay continued to look each person in the eye, waiting to see if they would be reasonable, or if they would continue to lash out in fear or anger or frustration at one another.

Kiryn was not intimidated by Ceri, not at all. His attention on her instead of Lyre now and his entire body still trembled with anger. Violet eyes narrowed in a dark glare. She was threatening him..the witch actually thought she could hurt him. Actually thought her magic could affect him. If such cheap tricks were enough to harm or intimidate them then he was not worthy to hold title of Knight nor Queen's Favorite.

His wings twitched when Ceri lifted him from floor. Holding him in the air and that look on her face. As if she expected him to be unable to do anything at all about it. His wings twitched with annoyance and a smile made itself home on his lips. A smile of amusement really, and he would remain in the air for a bit longer. Let her think she could manipulate his body as if it were her own. "And you didn't think to tell us anything all about this stone that would attract demons? Were you hoping they would come and just kill us all then? Honestly..what goes on in that tricksy mind of yours witch woman."

Enough was enough. Kiryn would only remain in the air if he so wished it and by the power of his own wings. She wanted to know if he was calm enough now...well..He would show her calm enough. Those lips parted, and a single word was uttered, something in a forgotten fairy language and his body glowed just slightly. Forcing Ceri's own magic away from him, away from his body with minimal effort. "Witch magic has never been a match for fairy magic. But it is your fault things ended up this violently." His wings brought him down to the floor, feet touching it gently as he landed.

"Stop trying to keep yourself distant from people, while you surround yourself with them and then tell them nothing of the dangers they could be in. Do you lack so much common sense or are you seriously trying to get everyone you come in contact with killed by demons?" His body still trembled with anger. For a moment, he hadn't even realized Kay had spoke. He blinked and glanced at her then mummbled. "Wasn't gonna kill her..just torture the answers outta her.." Blink.

"Well Im quite releaved to know you weren't going to kill her... Torture sounds sooo much better." Kay was fully exasperated now, and her knees were starting to feel like jello from trying to stand for so long. "Now Kiryn, I'm not trying to make light of your concerns about the demons, and why Ceri was keeping information from us... However, since I currently have to carry around a stone that seems to attract demons to me, I think it would be great if that issue were addressed first and formost, because, as I see it, I am wearing a giant sign on my head right now that says "Here scary demon, please come eat me and my friends.... and it wont come off...." Kay looked over to Ceri, who still seemed to be seathing.... "Can you at least start by telling us how you came by the stone in the first place? Did you already have the demon inside you when it happened? Or did that come later?" Kay still stood between them, at least until one or the other of them backed down enough for her to know it was safe to move.

“Yes because I pulled my sword on you sooo many times and got sooo many people here killed” she answered sarcastically to it being her fault of it ending violently. She then turned to a more serious answer. “I had no intention of staying here very long…so it was irrelevant… It has never chosen a male or a human wielder before so I did not see this coming” Ceri answered calmly, surprised at him breaking the spell though not to much so. She had assumed him a simple warrior so had not put a strong spell on him. This intrigued her but did not concern her. She watched him a moment, simply silent a moment as she watched him and Kay as she fell into thought. A human… this was unexpected.

For a moment she let her mind play over the possibilities, still seething that he attacked her but mainly being distracted by practicalities at the moment. She would have to be near Kyrin as the blade would not let her leave kay… defeating him magically she could do but being she could not kill him for various reasons it would do her no good to do so. She’d defeat him, he’d stubbornly attack, wounding them both in the process, and rinse and repeat…

“The stone chose me because of an act of sacrifice… the sacrifice of taking the demon it can not kill into my own body so it couldn’t keep killing people… I did not see the former wielder alive so can‘t tell you why she was there or how… she tried to defend me while I was….asleep from the demon and holy stone and ended up dead just before I woke up. “ She said this all casually, her magic still raised to defend herself if necessary but mainly on how much to tell. “Accordingly I can’t tell you how it will affect you… or how it should. I was…deficient due to the demon so my experience was different. “ She shrugged, looking at Kay. She was really the only one who needed to know…

((Sorry Aoi, post has been amended ^_^))

Kay stood there regarding Ceri for a moment before finally nodding that she understood and moved to sit down. She went back over to the pillows she had been resting on before. "So, since you had no intentions of being here this long, then it can not be said that it is all your fault.... I do wonder how much of it is the stones though. Can that demon inside you communicate with others of its kind, or is it completely trapped inside you?"

He scoffed at the idea that it wasn't entirely Ceri's fault. She was a witch and though he had tried hard not to judge her on the fact alone, now he was finding himself unable to do so. She had endangered all their lives with her presence. He scowled. Kay was too forgiving. Or perhaps he wasn't forgiving enough..but he was only doing what he thought best for not only them but all the citizens of underhill. If demons would come after Ceri and Kay then there was no way he could let either of them out of his sight.

Those arms crossed across his chest. His eyes on Ceri. "Witch woman how do we kill the panther demon?" That was his main concern. It would come back for them..for Ceri..and though he might not like her at the moment, he would do his best to keep her safe. It was his duty and though he had tried to intimidate and threaten her earlier, his threats had been very empty. His duty was to protect. Though the real reasons ran deeper than just the excuse of duty.

“It’s trapped from communicating but other demons can likely sense it just as they would any of their kind….They are drawn to the stones power though so it’s impossible to tell which they came for… Basically lured to their own death by the stone….whether by accident or design nobody knows.” She answered Kay honestly, nearly ignoring Kiryn a moment. The only one she felt any obligation too was Kay, and that was simply because she was once where Kay was without anyone to answer her questions…the stone unable or unwilling to answer her…

Hearing Kiryn she glanced towards him, tilting her head to the side. This… this was more personal. She sighed, walking towards the window and placing one hand on the glass. For a moment she stayed silent, her eyes darkening as she glared at something in her minds eye. She knew how.. But also that it was nearly impossible….

“Oh that’s easy….we just have to kill my mother.” She answered sarcastically, her tone dark. Absently she reached up and stroked over the mark on her cheek, thinking of how it got there when she was young…and what her mother used it for. She sighed a moment and shook her head, closing her eyes.

Kay wanted to know how to kill the panther as much as Kiryn and waited for the answer, but what she heard is not what she had expected... Just kill mother.... I thought we were wanting to kill the panther.... Why would we kill her monther..... Then a horrifying thought occured to poor Kay "Um, Ceri, Is that panther Mother?"

At Kay's question Lyre almost laughed but stopped himself when the pain in his head got worse, right, laughing was out of bounds...But if Ceri's mother came...his gaze flickered to Ceri, they would have a very big problem in their hands. Then there was the problem of the other demons out there. With Kay and Ceri together, and staying in the same location for so long they were sure to attract more of them. He closed his eyes, where would it be safe to stay? Nowhere really if what Ceri said was true...

No, but my mother made a dark pact with it long ago… kill it while she lives and it’ll just reappear within minutes… you have to kill it’s gateway… In other words my mother. The woman’s witchcraft is doubled by hell itself…” She responded dully, still gazing out the window. She was letting her mind wander, going over possibilities and history…

“If she comes for me…. Run. I will do what I have to…” She mumbled the last, her eyes on the forest. She knew she could keep them out of it… as long as she simply kept her mother away. She didn’t’ know how she would… but she would… With a sigh she closed her eyes slowly.
