"Thanks," Kay said, taking the fruit from Kiryn. She ate it as she listened to Ceri explain about the holiness of her blood and she had a feeling she knew exactly where this was going and she did not like it.
"Um Ceri, if you need some blood for your potion, I think the easies way is the best.... I dont really like the idea of experimenting with my bodily fluids... I mean, if you need some blood from inside my body out.... and I was expirimenting, wouldnt it be possible to accidently take out too much? Or.... oh i dont know... make it come from the wrong place, like my eyeballs? No if you need blood the easiest and safest way would be to just cut me and then try and heal it up later... we can easily control how deep we cut."
Kay looked at Ceri to make sure she had all the rights of it.

Kiryn frowned deeply. Listening carefully and intently to their words. He didn't like the idea Kay being cut. He inhaled deeply and let that breath out slowly, however. Ceri had already sacrificed some of her own blood to the potion and there really didn't seem to be any other alternative...the easiest way would be the best. A nick of the fingertip perhaps? Still that fairy frowned and frowned deeply. Kay made a very valid point..the easiest way would be the best way.

With a twitch of those gossamer wings he had turned and left the room. There was nothing he could add to the conversation, nothing he could really say. Potions were delicate things and sometimes certain blood was needed in them. He ran the thumb of his right hand across the palm of his left hand. He knew certain magicks and even some fey potions required droplets of blood from time to time. Kiryn had retreated to the kitchen. To think.

Ceri blinked a moment, about to correct Kay about the spells being blood based but then Kay continued. Logical, simple, and not at all squeamish it seemed in her thoughts. The girl was adapting…growing into the magic naturally it seemed… Perhaps the blade had made a good choice after all.. Then again, it was said, though the blade had never told of it, that the stone could see the future and reacted decades in advance to set up situations as it so chose…Perhaps it was true and she hadn’t been a wielder in order to weild the blade… but merely to carry it to where it was meant to go.

Her musing was interrupted, however as she saw Kiryn walk out without a word. She’d requested Kay’s blood and not had her head nearly bit off? What was this now? She had no time to think of it, however, as finishing the potion was number one.. .

She sighed, walking to Kay and taking her hand into her own bandaged one. “If your sure… a simple prick of the finger and a few drops will do…It will be harmless enough.” She spoke simply, straightforwardly and shrugged gently. She was already leading Kay towards the kitchen and the potion without an answer, figuring time was best not wasted….

Kay followed her quite willingly.... although she wasnt sure how they were going to just 'prick' her finger, she had yet to see something laying around Lyres house that was as delicate as a kneedle, everything she had come accross was either magic base, or large knives and swords or vegitable peelers she thought and chuckled to herself... but still... she did have the feeling that whatever was used for the prick would be larger than she would normally have cared for back home

Ceri led her to the boiling pot without even looking at Kiryn, simply not to concerned. She then reached into her nearby bag, searching for her sewing kit. She rinsed the needle quickly but easily, not seeming to concerned with it. The demon would likely stir a bit at the smell of human blood but she braced herself for it, taking the needle and plunging it without a word or sign into the tip of kay’s pointer finger.

She would hold her finger a moment and push into the flesh of her finger tip gently so that four drops or so would drop into the potion. She then blinked, noticing something in how the color of the potion changed. Suddenly she pounced on kay, covering her with her body as the water stirred and hissed before exploding outward some of it’s contents. She hissed slightly in pain from the boiling water droplets that hit her back….Most of the water had stayed in ust fine, however, simply throwing enough to burn and hurt a little. Ceri had not expected such an explosive reaction considering how it had managed to be alright with her blood when it was on her wrist and had combined quite easily... er...well she thought so anyway she didn't remember much about the week it took for it to happen.

Kay had been shocked to see the little sewing kit, but felt relieved too Well I really will heal up just fine just a tiny little prick and a few drops of blood and BANG.... Kay felt Ceri's body pressing her into the floor as the potion had a very explosive reaction to her blood. She heard Ceri hiss in pain and saw the grimace on her face, which was inches from Kay's own. She could not see very well what had happened and did not know how much boiling liquid had gotten onto Ceri's body.
"Ceri, how bad did it burn you? Let me see?" Kay tried too see over Ceri's shoulder, but only found her own face pressed right up against the side of Ceri's cheek...

He practically ignored them when they entered the kitchen..save for an occasional glance just to make sure Ceri wasn't doing anything too violently to get at Kay's blood. Well, everything seemed fine. A small prick with a tiny needle. He approved the method. Just as he was about to leave the two to their own devices, the potion exploded.

Soldier reflexes had the fairy knight reacting quickly, but not quick enough it would seem, at least, Ceri had been fast in protecting Kay..but then..He hadn't gotten to them quick enough to protect Ceri. Mentally he scolded himself, reaching for both girls and pulling them to him and a bit further away from the pot. A hand on each of their heads, fingers running through their hair. He was watching the pot warily, mistrustfully. "Are you both alright? Was there a miscalculation..or something else?" His tone was accusing..it was concerned. Concerned for both of them.

Ceri shivered a moment but glanced towards Kay as she pressed close and looked to try and see the burn. Rolling her eyes she leaned forward so her lips were practically brushing the younger woman’s ear. “It’s fine… but you owe me, You’re fault for being so sexy- “ She whispered in a playfully chiding, nearly purring tone as her breath stroked the other’s ear.

The rest of what she was going to say got lost as she was pulled suddenly towards Kiryn, causing her to gasp slightly in surprise. She glanced up to him and shivered a little at the fingers running through her hair. Thinking of earlier and how he’d gotten to surprise her so with the little forehead kiss… she couldn’t resist the urge to get him back for making her blush like that. She was the flirt, she was supposed to be in control, nobody else.

She playfully batted her eyelashes and purred to him, “Maybe I just wanted to get the fair knight to rescue me…” As she slipped free she noticed a burn on his hand and reached out to grab his hand. “Awww, your hurt.. Maybe I should kiss it better…” She teasingly drew his hand close, so close her breath rushed against the back of his hand moist and warm… only for her to drop his hand and laugh as she drew to the stove.

“You both are too touchy and worry to much. I have some salve in my pack for burns, I’ll take care of it later. I guess the demon blood in mine reacted a little more to Kay’s holy blood then expected… but it’s alright now… and perfectly combined judging by the color… so more then worth it.” With that she smiled down at the liquid which was now a faint blue with small silver white sparkles within it. Her spiritual energy and the holy energy was combining perfectly… This was bound to be able to affect her mother at least a little…Hopefully enough to give Kay and Kiryn a chance… she couldn’t lose either of them, or Lyre now…

Kay had been waiting for Ceri to tell her she was fine, or hurt or anything but what she had heard instead... Sexy?! No one has ever called me that in my life... they might have called my outfit sexy or something, but not me... And then strong hands were pulling them off the floor and she felt a hand carressing her hair. She felt a tremor run through her whole body as a hand fan through her hair... Could I be sexy? She just stood there, silent, unmoving, as this new idea occured to her, but she was unsure of what it really meant yet.She reached up and touched her own face.

Eyes, nose, mouth, her face was no different from anyone elses. I need to find a mirror Kay wanted very much at that moment to see what others might see i her. "I need a mirror" she blurted out, and dashed off through the house at break-neck pace to find one.

When Ceri had taken his hand and looked at it he blinked. "I.." Whatever he was about to say got lost when that hand was brought to her lips. For a moment his wings had turned a slightly darker shade of red and twitched. Then she had moved away from him..and Kay had exclaimed something about a mirror and ran off. He stood there. Blinking. Rather dumbfounded for a few moments. Then those violet eyes were looking at the small burns on his hand..it didn't hurt much and he had been too concerned for the two ladies to notice it.

He blinked and took a step towards Ceri, letting his hand drop to his side and those wings returning to that translucent red color. "Ah..Are you sure you're alright?" He scuffed the toe of his boot against the floor. Looking rather uncertain. It was safe to say that Kiryn was a bit flustered and had no idea what to do with himself now.

“There’s one in the bathroom” Ceri murmured absently, raising an eyebrow and glancing at her. Was she worried her face was burned or something? How odd… she didn’t seem the type. Then again… her reactions were always delicious and often surprising, weren’t they? Oh well, whatever it was Ceri was not concerned with it. Only with her potion…

As Kiryn grew closer she couldn’t help but smirk a little at his apparent flustered nature and the odd shift in color of his wings. His reaction was priceless. He’d even gone speechless! Ceri couldn’t be more pleased as she gave a satisfied nod to herself, “Yeah… when I had the blade it left worse burns…see?” She turned, tugging down her black glove to show the scar on her wrist from the most recent use. It would fade in a few weeks but for now…

She then pulled it back in place, stiring the pot briefly. Nodding in satisfaction and humming to herself she reached into her bag, sitting a jar of a milky white liquid on the counter. “Put that on your burn.. I’ll do mine later…” She murmured. How she intended to do them being most of them were on her back she didn’t say, but something about how she said it suggested she’d find a way.

Kay had found the mirror in the bathroom and was staring at herself.
It was a nice full length mirror, and all though the clothes she was wearing were not the most flattering, Kay stilll turned from one side to the other looking at herself, almost inspecting each body part in its own right. She was pleasently surprised by what she saw. When she had gotten over the fact that her body was decent she got very close to the mirror and started to inspect her face. She was so close to the mirror her face was almost plastered to it. She looked at her own eyes, and her own mouth, her nose, and brow line... She just want seeing it though so she tried to make some faces at her self. She made smiles at the mirror, and pouty lips, tried batting her eyes at her mirror self. She then turned her back to the mirror and looked over her shoulder and blew herself a kiss. Well, I am pretty cute.... But Sexy? Kay turned back to the mirror and kept studying her own features and making more expressions at herself, trying to see where the Sexy was.

Kiryn watched Ceri for a few moments. Frowning at the burn scar she showed him and resisting the urge to grab her arm and have a closer look, just to see if it was healing properly. "Alright then." He still didn't seem to know what to do with himself. When that jar was put on the counter he moved towards it. Opening it and taking a bit onto his fingertips and dabbing it onto the burns of his hand. He wasn't sure what to say. His wings twitched mostly from irritation at himself. He glanced at Ceri and glanced at the jar of stuff, then back at Ceri. "I..could help you apply this.." He motioned towards the jar so she would know what he meant.

She glanced at him, watching him a moment before half laughing and shaking her head. “No thanks… why don’t you go find kay and see if she has any burns for you to nursemaid over?” Ceri responded with a grin, stirring the pot some more. She suppressed a shiver, wondering if any scare was visible on her back now…being her coat may have taken a bit of damage and her shirt wasn’t very thick…being the simple silky material it was. The truth was… she was terrified to have someone standing behind her, doing things to her back she couldn’t’ see. Her mother knew it was always worse for her when she couldn’t’ see it so was one of her favored forms of ’punishment’.

"Kay isn't harmed. You protected her with your own body..Now let me help you." He was already behind Ceri, those hands gentle but strong, reaching around her grab the coat from the front and gently slide it down her shoulders. Kiryn didn't see anything wrong with wanting to help and he wasn't entirely sure why Ceri wouldn't allow him to help with this. Obviously she wouldn't be able to reach the burns on her back by herself. Why not let someone else help? And who better to help than a Knight of the Court? Honorable and virtuous with an upbringing of chivalry practically chiseled into his brain. He would only look at her back. Not her front..so there was nothing wrong or improper. "It's alright, to accept help once in awhile." He murmmered softly.

Ceri tensed as he slipped behind her, ready to turn and smack him almost. As his arms came around her she bit her lip, her hands clenching into fists as he removed her coat before she could react. He would see that about half her back was exposed from the shirts design… her flesh marked by what looked like claws and teeth as well as lashes and various smooth carves that could be only caused by a steady hand and a knife.

She turned, ripping her coat from his hands with a sheer fury in her eyes…and a hidden fear too as her body and memory tried to tell her to panic. She held the coat in one hand, shivering with fear, anger, or both as she glared at him. “I accept help when I’ve use for it…Now back the hell off!!!!” She nearly shouted at him, looking like she wanted to throttle him then and there, only her will power keeping her from tearing into him from temper.

Those violet orbs had widened at what he saw. Her back, her flesh marred so badly, but before he could react or say anything, she had turned on him. Glaring at him with such ferocity he was almost certain she'd come at him with the intent to kill. She didn't attack him, she only shouted at him and he flinched a bit. Taking some steps backwards from her befor tripping over his own feet and landing on his bottom on the floor. Staring up at her.

Those violet orbs shimmered with emotion.

What she had gone through, it must have been nearly unbearable. His voice was soft, not angry not furious that she had yelled at him for trying to help, but soft and gentle. "I'm sorry. I won't ever do anything like that again." He lowered his head slightly and stood slowly. His wings straightening themselves out and twitching a bit. "If you need me, I'll be in the other room.." He turned and made his way out of the kitchen..back to that room with the cushions and plopped down on one of them. Mentally scolding himself over and over.

She watched as he fell, her breasts heaving with the strength of her breath as she barely restrained her fury. Ceri had not had anyone see the marred flesh in some time… not allowing people close as was her habit. She could have killed him, only by reminding herself he meant to help and then the glimmer of his deep emotion keeping her from mauling him right then and there.

His apology, however, seemed to allow her to restrain herself for a moment and she turned towards the potion as she shrugged back on her coat which had luckily only been dampened and slightly discolored by the steaming water. She simply nodded as he spoke, tossing on her coat as she tried to restrain her trembling hands. She couldn’t stand it, and for a moment the work could not focus her.

Instead she turned, walking towards the bathroom and intending to splash water on her face. She had to calm down before she stirred the demon that was amazingly still sleeping. Once she got to the bathroom, however, she would find a greater cure for her uncomfortable emotion standing right there. She saw Kay playing and posing, getting just in time to see her turn and blow a kiss at the mirror over her shoulder.

Ceri couldn’t stop herself, she began to laugh. It was a strange sound at first, like one who is pain but can’t help but laugh anyway. Soon it became her normal velvety chuckle however as she leaned back against the wall a bit despite her burns and covered her mouth with her hand. After the seriousness in the kitchen this was just so… so… priceless! Gotta love human girls….she thought absently.

Kay had not heard Ceri approach at first, and she had continued to pose and model to herself. But when she started to really chuckle, Kay heard and she saw Ceri in the mirror Oh no... how long has she been there... Kay thought, completely embarressed... And her cheeks showed it. In fact her whole face, neck and ears were turning bright red and even though she was embarrassed she did think it was funny.
She turned and looked at Ceri leaning on the wall. For once the woman almost looked care-free, there wasnt even the look in the back of her eyes from the demon. In that instant she was Ceri, the way Ceri should have been if she hadnt had such a hard life. Kay smiled and walked over to her.
"You know, when you relax and smile and laugh, you can be sexy too." She smiled And then her back was to Ceri and she was walking down the hall. She hoped she had that she had caused Ceri to blush (especially since she hadnt gotten back at Ceri for her little stunt while carrying Kay in earlier). But despite the one ups-manship, Kay really did mean it when she told Ceri that relaxing became her much better than when she was always on her guard.

The brighter red she turned, the funnier Ceri found it. She tried not to, she really did, but after all the tension and pain….she couldn’t stop. She took a deep breath, trying not to laugh any further and for a moment the shy Kay’s comment surprised her enough she could. She blinked, before realizing that she was likely just trying to get her back…silly girl.

She smirked to herself, reaching forward and grabbing Kay’s shoulder to twirl her around to face her. She then leaned close, her hand on the other girls chins so she could lift her face to see hers. She leaned close, her lips nearly to Kays as she whispered “Damn straight I can be and don’t you forget it… Or I’ll just have to remind you.”

She playfully walked forward so she could trap her against the wall as she spoke, staying inches from her lips before leaning forward so she could whisper in Kay’s ear while she pressed so close. “Now that I’ve got your attention…” She purred before returning to a normal tone “You’re out of your league dear, don’t bother.” With that she released her and stepped away, laughing again. Ah… now she felt better so she went to return to her potion.

While she had been pinned to the wall, Kay's heart had been doing flip-slops in her own stomach. She remembered the kiss that Ceri had given her the last time they were like this, but this situation was completely different. It was better~! Kay knew thanks to the blade that Ceri was in full control of herself, that none of this was the demon. And then it turned out to be a tease all over again And Kay was left standing in the hall and Ceri was walking away.
Out of my League~!? But she's the one that.... Oh for heavens sake.... Kay hated it more than anything to be told she wasnt good enough for something.... She viewed it as a challenge.... Well she was just going to have to prove Ceri wrong.
She marched into the living room where Kiryn was sitting on some pillows. "I want to go to a place where they sell clothing and things. I need some knew clothes that I dont have to worry about shredding when the Blade transforms me."

Ceri simply chuckled to herself as she walked to the kitchen, seeing kay pout. Man… maybe she should have kissed her if she was going to pout so. Smiling to herself she went to the potions, beginning to stir it gently and see if it was still mixing correctly. It was… but it would not be ready still for a while… She then sighed, shaking her head.

Walking to the living room she stood in the doorway, leaning on her shoulder. She put her hands in her pockets and simply grinned at them both, wordlessly watching the two. New cloths? Now this was interesting… My my my, Kay was taking this seriously…This would be fun…

Kiryn had been brooding, and he hadn't even noticed Kay enter the room until she spoke. His wings twitched, the only motion betraying that he had been surprised and caught off guard. It took him a few seconds to realize what she had said..Something about clothes and a store. He blinked and looked at her. Then he shook his head. "I don't think we should leave. If something happens we should be all together. There's no telling when we may be attacked again."

His gaze was intense and his words were true. "When things have settled down a bit, you'll have time to shop, I'm sure." Human girls were such silly creatures. Besides, there was nothing wrong with the clothing she was already wearing. Though..slits in the back should probably be made for those wings of hers. He frowned slightly, a bit thoughtful.

Kay knew Kiryn was right, but she wasnt willing to give up that easy. "Well if we ALL went to a market, then we would still ALL be together, And since Ceri's mother is looking for her, then she could still find us, and since the Blade gives my location away, then they could still find me. So even if we did go out, we would be in no less danger than if we stayed here... In fact, with Lyre being in a state, such as he is, would it almost not be better if we went a little farther off, just so they dont come here? He would not be safe if a battle broke lose here and one of them found him, And we would not have enough chance to save him and ourselves from what Ceri has said of her mother." Kay looked at Ceri, trying to see if she had her facts staight in this. And she watched Kiryn to see if he thought her own form of logic was also sound.

He stared at Kay as if she had grown a second head. "...You don't seem to understand..We have a better chance of fighting and defending this dwelling and Lyre than we do of trying to protect the town. You would.." He had stood, the expression in his eyes was one of hurt and not complete understanding. "You would endanger the entire town because you want to go buy some clothing right now..at this moment when this time should be better spent preparing you to fight, to use the holy powers that you've been given." He frowned deeply.

Really, he had expected so much better from Kay. "Are all humans so selfish?" Those wings twitched with agitation. "I will not permit the rest of Underhill to be put in danger for the selfish whims of a Human." He walked away from her..but didn't leave the room. Instead he paced it. Back and forth. Like an agitated, caged tiger.
