Selfish.... I am NOT selfish.... "You think I should be training instead of getting some suitable clothing to do it in? Fine. We can do things your way instead."
Kay was practically yelling and while she was talking she had gone back into the kitchen to get a knife out of a drawer. She brought it back into the living room and ripped her shirt off (forgetting she also had nothing under it). She threw it on the floor and cut a huge circle out of the back of it for her wings to extend through, cut off the sleeves. And then she cut half the side out of it so she could tie it up better in back and not have it so loose.
She tossed the knife back through the kitchen door and held the shirt up for her own inspection.
"Will that do for now?" She spat out, still very angry at the way Kiryn had just characterized Humanity. Kay knew she wasnt selfish. She hoped she had just proved it....

He had opened his mouth to respond. He didn't really see why she was getting so angry. Clothing was not as important as she was making it out to be. She was wearing some and it should do for now. He blinked. Eyes wide when Kay tore her shirt off. Those wings of his turning a dark crimson and he turned his back to her rather quickly. Stuttering for a few moments before actually saying anything at all. "Y-y-your..naked.."

Ceri raised an eyebrow, watching him a moment. What had bit his butt so bad? Was he going to be this grumpy every time she yelled at him? Meh, if it bothered him so much then he should have kept those hands to himself… She thought with annoyance, reaching to rub a spot on her back in thought.
Before she could remark on it, however, she saw Kay’s response to the angry remark. Ceri couldn’t help but began to chuckle, walking slowly up behind Kay and place her hands on the brunettes hips and pulling her to her body. She leaned over to whisper in her ear “While I love the view… mmm…very nice breasts you have there, It seems you’re embarrassing poor little Kiryn over there so you might want to put that back on. “ She teased, before releasing her hips and stepping back.
“You should have just asked me to tailor it sweetheart.” Ceri said with a laugh, patting her shoulder in an affectionate way. She then turned to Kiryn and laughed, saying quietly “I’ll have to remember this, it seems there is a way to get you to back off after all.” She teased him lightly, reaching forward to poke Kiryn between the shoulder blades. They were so priceless together, she was just surprised he hadn’t enjoyed the view …

Kay felt Ceri coming up behind her, and had almost leaned into her, until she heard what Ceri was saying. She looked down at herself, and only then remembered that her Bra had also been destroyed, and since Lyre did not have a need for them, he had not given her one either... She quickly pulled the shirt over her head and tried to hide her embarressment by retorting back "Well, he should get used to naked ness.... If we are going to fight together, there might come a time when one of us loses our shirt or something, due to claws, or blades.... and then he will.... um, just have to deal with it..." Kay knew her reasoning was lame... but it still made her feel better. Besides it happened in movies all the time back home...
She glared at Ceri, "Well now that you've had a moment to enjoy the show, you mind acctually helping me figure out how the blade works? How did you call it forth when you needed it..." Kay's anger with herself and her embarressment were evaporating as she turned her mind towards the task at hand... but she still was in complete shock that they had all just seen her half naked At least I didnt try to alter the pants.... she comforted herself with that thought.

He frowned deeply. Still not turning to look at Kay. "In battle is different than you acting childish. It is improper for a man to look upon a woman that is not his wife. And even more so improper when that woman is acting like a spoiled human child." Those crimson wings twitched, annoyance and agitation and embarrassment. "You did not need to get so upset...You could have asked for one of us to tailor your shirt or something of that sort. Not throw a small tantrum to embarrass yourself with." His wings twitched again. Really, he had thought her different than other humans..but right now he grouped her with the rest..selfish and childish creatures.

Ceri shrugged, glancing back at her as she put her shirt back on. She watched her with that same amused expression, then tilted her head to the side as she got serious. Kay really did have more to her when she wasn’t being so…young. That’s really what it came down too, she was a teenager, thrust into a world that made no sense, having to grow up in all of two seconds around a flirt and an uptight knight…
She shook her head then glanced back at Kiryn, watching him a moment. She spoke to Kay after she heard him speak but seemed to be thinking of something else. “Emotion, anger, or the desire to protect…love one might say if it were something other then me feeling it… anything strong enough really. That’s magic really, See it, believe it, feel it then it’s there…”
She then turned to kiryn, smacking the top of his head lightly, “Then why’d you look at me?” His attitude was beginning to annoy her. She said teasingly before her voice become more serious. “Yes it was the stupidest thing she’s done so far but…Come of it already… She’s a teenager, barely more then a kid, in a situation that she’s been taught is not even possible… and now she’s been handed a destiny that many of us would get a little emotional over or even try to run from… but she‘s embracing anyway. Relax already! This is not your court and nobody’s going to follow the rules. Deal with it…Both of you” She said, now including Kay, “Need to get over yourselves…”

He flinched when Ceri smacked the top of his head and he shook it a bit. "There's a difference. I was behind you and I was only looking at your back not your.." He cleared his throat lightly. "...chest..." Those wings had been changing back to their normal translucently see through red color, but when he said the word 'chest' they went crimson again. He shifted a bit on his feet. Still not turning to look at Kay. "I have a duty to the people and to the Queen. This is not the Court but it is under the Court's jurisdiction and protection." He frowned a bit. Chewing that bottom lip lightly.

Ceri's admonishments had brought Kay back to reality... And Kiryn's earnestness to do his duty also hit her hard. She too had a job to do now... A real job, and she had no idea how to do it. Ceri was right, she was just a kid, depite what airs she pretended.
"Ceri, thanks for the vote of confidence.... But... I have no idea how to work this Blade, in fact, I hate to break it to you both, but in the Human world, we dont even use swords. I was lucky earlier when I got a hit on that panther... But I have never used a blade in my life except to cut my dinner with, and a small table knife is alot different. If we are going to live, I am going to have to have both of you help me.... Im sorry if I seemed selfish Kiryn.... Im just a little scared. If I dont know how to fight when they come back here... and if someone gets hurt, it would be because I failed to do my job."
Kay was all business now. She thought harder on Ceri's words....
Emotion, anger, the desire to protect... love. See it, believe it, feel it...... I can do this. I dont want my friends to get hurt because of me... I care about them too much to let them get hurt because I failed. Kay felt something stir deep with in her... I can't be the one to fail... If Ceri could use this thing despite carrying a demon inside her, then I can do it despite my own human-ness. She felt the sensation extending into her extremeties and saw the metal arm guards reforming. She felt new sensations too, as leg guards also formed. The circlett that would forever rest on her head grew warm as it extended armour down the sides of her face, offering protection to part of her face. She felt the skin on her back split as her wings sprouted forth, soft and gossamer they were pure white. It did not hurt as much this time. And from their weight Kay knew they were a little bigger. She continued to focus on the energy in her body, guiding it rather than letting it just take her as she had the first time. The guard on her left arm once again produced Kay's dagger. Only this time It was a bit lighter on her arm. She drew it and stopped the flow of energy in her body. She turned to look at her back as best she could and was satisfied to see she had made the hole in the shirt the perfect size. She also was pleased with the wings she saw. If they keep getting bigger with each transformation, as I gain control of this, they might even be usable at some point. The armour is even better, it feels lighter on me, and there is more of it. I think I did a little better this time. She turned to look at Ceri and Kiryn, "Can we train now?"

If you don’t get over it … I’ll flash you…” Ceri muttered to him with an annoyed sigh, shaking her head. Why couldn’t he just calm down? Shaking her head a moment she was getting ready to inform him that no matter what jurisdiction they were under No one, least of all her, was going to behave like they were in a proper court…
As she started to, however, she felt the holy energy. It caused her to turn and wince slightly as she watched her. She was getting the hang of it it seemed… if only a little bit. She shrugged gently and tilted her head to the side. “Well.. .unlike me you don’t really have to focus on the blade part.. You can access all it’s holy power, including spells…what all it can do.. I really don’t know. I just know I could only access a tenth of it’s power…” Ceri explained with a shrug, simply watching her a moment. Yes… this would be… interesting it seemed.

Kay stared at Ceri drop jawed "You mean it does even more than just make a sword?" How was she ever going to learn everything it could do. "Well... If it does magic and such, I guess I need to learn about that too.... Ceri, You will have to help me with that... I am willing to bet you know more of magic than any of us... And when you had the blade, could you hear it in your mind?"

It tried… gave me a few images mainly… The demon interfered after that…” Ceri murmured, thinking of the first few hazy days that her energy was twisting with the holy energy. She’d been in a lot of pain and had barely registered the images in all honesty… She frowned, putting a hand on her hip and then placing her fingertip against her lip in thought.
Thinking of the magic she nodded, looking towards Kay. “Well… Your magic will be likely what you’re best at…… you might even be able to heal people at some point… I don’t know… I can just teach you some basics… I imagine summoning the holy fire won’t be much different from summoning the spirit fire I like to use…” She murmured in thought.

His back was still turned to Kay, and he mummbled softly. "Maybe..you should go outside..in case a spell gets out of hand so you don't damage Lyre's dwelling.." He frowned a bit. There was no way he could face Kay, not after that little episode. At least, his wings were their normal translucenty colors now. His muscles were a bit tense.

Kay didnt mind going outside to do the magic. She figured Kiryn needed time to recollect himself after her stunt anyway. She moved towards the door and said "Well, a fire spell sounds fun, you said you would teach me one of those anyways" She smiled, playing with fire sounded kind of fun.

Ceri sighed as Kay and Kiryn came to an agreement, causing her to shake her head. She loved how she was just elected to do it outside and right now. “go ahead out Kay…” She murmured as she walked slowly towards the door. She paused next to Kiryn, gripping his shoulder tightly a moment. She was grinning at him, “You’re not going to find any courtly ladies here dear…… get over it.”
She then laughed slightly and went outside, her hands in her pockets. She was frowning slightly, her mind going to how she would teach her. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do… or how … but she’d figure something out, she always did…

Kay went out the door and stood in the clearing. She looked around to make sure there wasnt anything too flamable lying around. "So Im guessing that using spells to create fire, or anything else also goes back to the whole if I think it and believe it, then it is theory right?" She was a little nervous at the idea of conjuring things out of nothing, but when she had called the blade, it seemed easy enough. She hoped that was the case now.

][Awh. -snuggles Aoi.- You could always bring in a different character or something. -nuzzles-][
Kiryn had relaxed a bit when Kay went outside. Sighing softly and blinking a bit at Ceri's words. Well, he knew that, really. But still. That wasn't the point. No female or male for that matter, should just tear their clothing off in front of other people. He shook his head a bit and bit his bottom lip. He really didn't have anything to say to Ceri. Lowering himself to sit on one of the cushions. He would remain there for a few moments. Until he was certain he had his entire body under control. After a few moments of just sitting there and...concentrating a bit...he stood and slowly made his way outside. To check on the girls.

After watching the other three milling about for a while, hidden in the shadows, Lyre finally let a small smile slide onto his face. His job was done, they wouldn't need him around anymore, not for a while at least. He slipped unnoticed back up to his room, bringing the medicine with him and placed the pouch onto his bed, closing the door behind him. He sat cross legged on the bed, staring at the contents of the pouch. So...once these ran out...he closed his eyes and let out a deep breath, he'd think about it then. His eyes trailed to the window and he got back off his bed and walked over to the window, looking down at Ceri and Kay, who were both standing outside.

“Yeah…anger seems a good focus point for fire…if your will or heart fails so does the spell usually..” Ceri answered as she wandered outside to stand next to Kay in case something goes wrong. She was frowning a little, knowing that the holy magic of the blade would hurt her just as easy…. But it had to be done. She began playing with her belly button ring absently, watching the horizon as she spoke. “don’t let yourself get too angry though… it can be bad with fire..” She murmured.

Kiryn stood in the doorway. Leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed across his chest. His wings twitched slightly as he watched the girls. He was sure they probably wouldn't need his help yet. Ceri could teach Kay some spells and once she had a firm grasp of that, he would teach her the basics of sword play. Violet orbs were thoughtful as he only really half paid attention to the girls and thinking of the best way to teach Kay swordplay. He would have to be careful and direct, but not too firm. He really didn't want to piss her off with a weapon in her hands.

Kay tried to focus on what Ceri was saying, Anger.... What makes me angry..... Suddenly Kay remembered the night when she had left her mothers house.......
((Flash back time ^_^))
Kay had been out with friends, drinking again. She knew her mother was going to be pissed, but she didnt care. She was 19 and figured what the heck, she was only going to live once... She had gone to a party with a guy she knew, well sort of knew, she had only met him yesterday. He went by the name Gnash, but she thought she heard his name was really steven or something... It didnt matter though because he was 'older' and had scored the booze. But shortly after she had gotten to the party, things had gone a little sour. Gnash had wanted a little more than Kay had been willing to give and he hadnt been to pleased about it. Luckily she had convinced one of her girlfriends to drive her home.
But home had been even worse... Her mother had been there and had completely flipped out. She had once again reminded that she was a total failure at life. And thanks to a few drinks, Kay hadnt just taken it. She had reminded her mother that it was her excelent parenting skills that had helped make Kay the person she was... and then it had come to blows. And Kay left the house, taking her mothers truck...
Anger welled up in Kay at the memory. And she focued it into her arm guards where small blue flames spouted along their lengths. Kay focused a little more engery into the arm guards, and was relieved to discover that the fire was not hot. She tried to hold the flame steady, but she was not that good at keeping a grasp on her engery flow. The flame flared up quickly, then when out, She released all the energy and it dissipate into the air around her.
Kay let out a whoosh of air, only then realizing she had been holding her breath with the effort, and looked at ceri with a grin "That went well," she could barely get the words out for gasping for breath. But she was pleased with herself. And at least I have my mother to thank for something now.

If the other two were teaching Kay offensive...why not teach her some defensive stuff? Lyre thought, still watching the girls. He could teach her some of his healing techniques in the few days he had left. That way his knowledge wouldn't die with him...he'd have to ask her later than...
