At first Kay thought he was passing out again. But then she realized he was just resting. She calmed down a bit, and slightly adjusted her body so she could easily see the house. It had been so long since the two fairies went in, and Ceri and Lyre had still not come out. And now that Kay had Kiryn taken care of, her worries turned to her other friends.

Lyre stepped carefully away from the debris, arm muscles straining to keep Ceri's weight up. ((XD I just called her heavy~)) Finally when he was clear of the house, only then did he fall to his knees and place Ceri down. His breaths were a bit ragged and his hands went to his side almost instantly. It was a wonder that that medicine bag of his was still intact. He pulled out two pills and popped them into his mouth, swallowing them dry. He felt them move down his past his throat and down his esophagus, not pleasant at all.

((YAY~! A post~! I was starting to worry if you and Ceri had died in the house after all *wink* Well... Kay was anyway....))
Kay saw Lyre carrying Ceri from the house. It took every ounce of self control she had not to run to them. She slowly pushed Kiryn's resting form from her lap and stood. She approached Lyre and Ceri slowly too. She wanted to make sure Ceri was in complete control.
Before Kay reached them, she knew Ceri was in control, but there was demon present too. She would have to be careful. She also saw blood, lots of it, coming from Ceri. Lyre looked pretty scraped up too, but Ceri's injuries were far worse.
"Lyre I think you two should move farther away from the house, incase it falls." It was obvious that Lyre could not carry her any further (and it was fairly obvious Ceri had not been keen on being carried in the first place). But Kay didn't think Ceri could walk the distance either.
"Ceri... can you walk? We need to get farther away from the house." Kay did not want to presume too much and make Ceri upset right now, not with the demons presence lurking.

Kisha followed Lyre and Ceri out of the house a few seconds later. After Lyre fell and popped the pills in his mouth, she gently laid a glowing teal hand on his back. "This should speed along those pills of yours." Her eyes were a gentle teal now, offsetting the coloring of her hair to look slightly more of a blue-green then the purple.

Lyre's eyes darted to Kisha, of course...she didn't understand what they were for... He closed his eyes and moved away from her hand, "No, it's fine. You should help Ceri, she's the one whose bleeding." He smiled faintly at Kay and then attempted to get up. His legs were shaking too much and they wouldn't support his weight. He groaned and collapsed onto the ground again, "Sorry." He murmured.

Kiryn laid there with his head in Kay's lap. Those eyes were half closed and he groaned softly. He was still in so much pain, a soft whimper escaped his throat. His body convulsed a bit and he shivered. ".....hurts..." He mumbled, though he had tried to say more, that was the only word that actually made it past his lips. His body trembled a bit as Kay moved him, lifting him to sit back against that tree, causing him to wince slightly as his back came in contact with something solid..

((awww okay))
Ceri shivered as she was sat down, her prior impaled leg not exactly liking the jarring sensation. Whimpering Ceri reached upwards to grip part of the porch and pull herself into a standing position. For a moment she didn’t respond to anyone, not even kay as she resisted the urge to make a sound. Some of the shin bone had splintered off the side, digging into the muscle so it took all she had not to scream and instead only whimper.
A quick spell later and she transformed a seed upon the ground to first a sapling, then finally a wooden crutch. Leaning on it heavily she adjusted her bag on her shoulder, taking a breath before speaking. “I’m fine….What’s wrong with Kry?” She mumbled, using another spell to wrap her leg in a medicated wrap. She saw no reason to worry Kay… Though she could have healed most…her pure holy magic wouldn’t help Ceri one bit…very little healing magic did…
She watched the two, feeling a moment of jealousy that the demonic energy made so much worse. He was hurt…this was stupid… She looked away and began working on returning herself to normal, mumbling “And who gave him the nice little haircut? I didn’t even get to play with his hair or tease him first….” It worried her a little…she’d never seen the warrior so ….hurt…

((Kry I really hate to break it to ya, since Kiryn is clinging to Kay so well, but Kay put him back up against the tree in her last post >.< She can still hear him though, cause she is only a few yards away.))
Kay had heard Kiryn's words of Pain. She watched in amazement as Ceri devised her own way to get around. Well that works better than carrying her would have. Lyre was still on the ground though and it seemed he didnt have the strength to move. Kay went over to him, and tried to lift him up to walk, but she also did not have the strength. "Kisha, you are going to have to help him, I can't." She hated saying those words now. It was because she also couldnt fight the demon fast enough that Kiryn had gotten hurt, and because she couldnt fight fast enough that the house was damaged and Ceri got hurt.
Kay did not want to leave Kiryn alone by the tree and so she went back over to him. She had heard Ceri's question about his condition, but she had not answered at first. She leaned back down by his side and placed her hand on his so he would know she was there again. He was still so out of it, Kay knew it had to be the pain. She picked up the apple where she had left it, and placed another small sliver on his lips before she finally answered Ceri.
"It was the demon. It transformed into a giant scorpion with a womans body. It had too hearts and I was not fast enough. It pierced his wings to the ground with its tail. I stabbed one heart. It got away before I could stab the second." Kay had been watching Kiryn the whole time she had spoken, every word coming out quietly and steadily. Kay had seen so much that day, so much destruction and pain, she was almost devoid of all emotion. All she felt now was anger towards herself. She felt she should have done something different, something better.

][.....Really? Cause...I honestly didn't see that post. -blink- I feel so dumb now......I edit my post so now everything makes sense again.][
Kiryn had barely stirred when Kay left him and returned...however, when that sliver of apple had been set on his lips, like before, his tongue darted out to pull it in his mouth. So tiny it was so easy to swallow it without having to chew it. His body had acted on instinct..as if it instinctively knew it should eat, even though he was a bit less than half coherent. Another whimper left his lips.

So you got one and nobody died….Not bad for a beginner.” Ceri said in her usual teasing tone, hobbling towards the two to get a closer look at the fiery red head’s injuries. Each step hurt a little and caused her to bite her lip but she said nothing, keeping silent as she made her way there. Her injuries hurt but a combination of her herb treated leg wrap and her faster healing speed from the demon blood would take care of it eventually….
Looking down at the fairy once she reached him she frowned at the energy, glancing at Kay from under her lashes in thought. She doubted she could heal such a severe injury yet…but something needed to dull the pain. Could she try? Ceri wasn’t sure…but Ceri had no healing spells whatsoever so Kay would have to try to at least heal some of the nerve damage… “Kay…. You wouldn’t happen to have something you care about a lot you can focus on would you? That pretty little stone doesn’t just destroy demons….” She murmured thoughtfully, looking down at him.

"I will try... but I dont have much energy left. I kind of used a lot when the demon injured Kiryn. I lost control a bit." Kay stared at Kiryn, his damaged wings and near lifeless form. She looked at Ceri's damaged leg. She saw how tired and worn Kiryn was. And she saw the expressions of curiosity, confusion, anxiety and pain on differrentl faces all around the glade.
Something I care about alot? There had never been much she had been too fond of. Nothing back home anyway. Kay focused really hard. She saw images of her friends in her mind and it made her smile. She could see Lyre bent over her when she had first met him. She could see Kiryn's dissaproving gaze when she said silly things, and it made her almost laugh. She saw Ceri in the woods where she had first met the quirky witch. She had been all smiles that day, except for her eyes, but the humor had still been all Ceri. Kay felt warm inside, realizing that never in her life had she had friends as close as these. They were like a family to her now. She had never had that feeling. As she thought harder and harder about them all, how they were all intertwined together, happy tears of unexpressed emotion coursed down her face. Kay's wings extended behind her, and pure light began to glow around her form. She focused as best she could on Kiryn, feeling out his injuries. She knew it would be useless to try and fix his wings, she did not have that ability, but she did focus on the pain and she dulled it the best she could. She turned her attention to Lyre next, still feeling she had plenty of her own energy to still work with. He had hurt his back, she could feel that now. She soothed that as well, but the damage in his mind she could not touch, all she could tell is that something was wrong there. She turned her attention to Ceri. She began to stop the excess blood flowing from Ceri's leg from where it had been pierced, and she was about to try to do something with the bone, but she was drained.
Kay collapsed onto the grass, gasping. She could not see. She was certain she would lose consciousness. She had pushed herself too hard. But she felt it was the only way to make amends for her total lack of skill earlier. She clutched her stomach, it felt like someone had punched her there, causing all breath to be knocked from her, but it was only the absense of power causing her to feel this way. Her vision slowly returned, just fuzzy colors. She did not pass out, but the pain of over exertion made her wish she had.

Kisha watched Kay heal everyone, her own healing powers itching to help. But she stood near Lyre and allowed Kay to finish what she had started without putting her own healing in the mix. Maybe I can help her if she does too much, she thought. When Kay fell, Kisha went over to her, her hands already glowing teal, her eyes changing to match. She went to her knees next to Kay, one hand on a shoulder, the other resting gently on Kay's stomach. She knew she could not do much because of the exhaustion that the girl went to but she could soothe the pain. She spoke softly, her voice flowing like a small stream, "Kay, let yourself rest. This can help you to sleep, for your body needs it. I will watch over your friends, if there is that need." She smiled softly.

Kay felt the the worst of the pain slowly leave her body. She still had a dull ache in her head, probably from doing to much, and she felt very weak. She did not want to sleep though, and struggled to get off the ground, She wanted to see if she had done anything to really help her friends. She could not stand up, she could barely sit up. Her whole body felt like a semi-truck had smacking into it. She contented herself with kneeling and looked up at Ceri and over to Lyre, and Kiryn. But she could not yet tell if her efforts had made a difference.
She also looked at Kisha. "Thank you. I think I pushed too far, I didnt know that too much effort would hurt so much."

Lyre closed his eyes, clenching his hands into fists in the dirt. Kay knew now. Most likely anyway. He had felt it, her presence within him, prodding at his injuries and then passing over the most lethal one. The one that no one here could fix. He took a deep breath and then let it out slowly, slowly standing to his feet. He made his way slowly over to Kay and kneeled next to her, "I should teach you how to heal without magic." He murmured, offering the human a half smile. He had caught the end of her sentence, "Then you wouldn't be as exhausted and can save your strength for other things."

Kiryn had felt it. It was like a warm guiding light washed over him in the darkness. Granted it wasn't really darkness that the light brought him from. Mostly just depths of pain. He had felt Kay, almost as if her hands were running over the worst of the pain and beating it back. Still, there was pain, but alot of it had been dulled and she had left Kiryn a little more than half-coherent. Violet eyes blinked a bit, confusion was in them as his eyes darted this way and that.
His voice escaping as little more than a whisper. "....the demon..?" there was a slight pause, his wings twitched and he winced. "..why......what happened?" He had lifted his head some, to look at them. To look at Kay and Lyre. Then those eyes closed and his head tilted back, resting against the trunk of that tree as he inhaled deeply. His shoulder blades ached and he felt...lighter..than normal.

Kay looked at Lyre as if seeing him for the first time. She knew what was in his mind, what was making him seem so ill. But she decided not to mention it until he did. She did not want to pressure him when it was obvious he had tried to hide the severity of it so well. Losing his mind, what an understatement She did remember though, how he had use strange plants and mosses to heal her when she had first arrived in underhill. The skill would definettly come in handy. She was already weak enough just after a fight with the demon, and she knew now she had had no business trying to use her powers again so soon. "I think I would like that," she told him with a half hearted smile, not because she did not want to learn, but just because right now she was so drained. It would have been hard for her to muster enthusiasm for anything except maybe a hot bath and a bowl of soup. That sounds better than any healing skills She did try to sound more enthused about it though. "I know we all need rest. But as soon as you are able, I would love to start, seeing as there is not a good way to ever be prepared for demon attacks. I need to save as much energy as I can."
Besides, after trying to heal his body, and seeing what was in his mind, she did not know if he would be able to teach her much longer, she also had no way or right to ask. Maybe if she learned quickly, and spoke to Ceri in private, they could think of a way to help him together. The new insite into Lyre's condition worried Kay though. She felt that she might need to check in on him, magically, a bit more often.
Kay had also heard Kiryn stirring, she turned all her attention to him for the moment. "Its ok, the demon is gone. You were injured very badly. Um...." How could she tell him about his wings, surely he could tell... she decided the gentlest way was the best way. "Kiryn, when the demon.... well, when you," she sighed. There was no gentle way. "Kiryn, it damaged your wings. Badly. There was nothing we could do, it was too strong. It... it got away. I was too worried about you, and I let it get away."

Kisha watched the exchange, her hands still on Kay, frowning. When there was silence, she said, "Kay, you need rest." She looked around at everyone. "You all need to rest, and now would be a good time. I know you probably don't trust me but I will stand watch if you would all please get some sleep. Or at least rest with your eyes closed." She smiled a little, removing her hands from Kay and standing up, hands on her hips, eyes now sky blue. She said playfully, "Please?"

His heart had nearly stopped, violet eyes opening and wide. "...My..?.." He rolled his shoulders a bit and winced, not lifting his arms but, just lightly testing most of the muscles his wings used for flight. He made his wings move, made them flutter a bit, flinching almost violently and grunting at the wave of pain that washed over him for those few seconds. He turned his head, slowly, took look over his shoulder, as if afraid to look.
He saw those beautiful purple and red gossamer wings as nothing but tattered, broken things...some parts looked almost as if someone had just pasted pretty translucent streamers to his back instead of wings. His heart stopped, for a second. Slowly he raised an arm to his hair, pulling some of the strands over his shoulder, but they were only just barely long enough. He dropped his hand, a frown on his lips. His eyes closed tightly and he fought back a whimper. His injuries were not important..not yet. The important thing was.
"Did you pierce the demon's heart?"
He had heard Kisha's words, but for now..For the moment at least, he hadn't the energy to acknowledge her with little more than a very slight, easy to miss nod.

Kay had already been fighting her natural urge to just curl in a ball right there on the ground and sleep. She did not want to fall asleep here though, not where the demon could easily find them again.
"It had two hearts kiryn, and I was only able to pierce the scorpion heart, My blade was too short, I used my magic to pierce it. I think it worked. I dont know. But it dashed back off into the trees and I dont sense its presence any longer. Its gone for now, but it could come back. I hope it is weaker if it does return." And I dont want to just be sitting here when it does.

He saw the way she looked at him. As if in a new light. As if...he let out a soft laugh. Just like he thought they would all react if they found out. He sighed and then sat back, letting his legs fold into a more comfortable position. "It's alright you know." he murmured, not caring if she heard him or not, "To speak about what you found. It's not something I should be keeping hidden at this point. Not when...when there's not much time left." His eyes moved to Kiryn's form and a sad smile appeared on his face, "It'll be best to get all the bad news out at once, don't you think?"
