Ceri was watching the two in silence a moment, frowning a little. There was no way that kiryn would move, one look at the set of his chin told her that…causing her to glance at the ground. “you can’t even kill the damn thing…” she muttered to herself, able to sense the demon’s presence simply through her own inner possession. She glanced down at the dagger the holy blade had given her, sheathed to her waist now. It lacked much of the power of the holy blade but could still kill one if it hit the heart…

“Kay… you need to stay with the others, you’re the only one who can protect them…or heal them… please go on…all of you. I’ll stay and talk Kiryn into following…” Ceri said quietly, stepping forward towards him and leaning on her crutch. Already her nails were slightly blue tinged with magic, however, as she knew talking to him would do nothing…. But at least the dagger could give him a chance….

Kay stood staring at the two for a moment, she was almost completely speechless. The two MOST injured members of the party were the ones trying to stay behind.... The two members that DEFFINETLY needed to be the farthest away....
"Have you two LOST YOUR MIND!!! NO I will not leave the two of you here by yourselves and I dont care how healed you think you are!" Kay was yelling, she did not care at this point if the demon heard them, it already knew they were there. The Blade was already whispering in her mind. She knew its strengths already, she was beginning to get some information on its weaknesses. The longer she had the Blade, the more intune she was to the way it worked. She knew this Demon was not animalistic, like the panter, it was human, more human than the scorpion lady though. Less human than Kay, or Ceri..... She knew it was very powerful. She knew it had magic. She also knew its weaknesses were very limited. They had to run.

"Kiryn, I appreciate your sense of honor as a warrior, but I dont think right now is a good time. You have to survive so you can help your Queen. Ceri, I am sure you are fully capable of fighting, your injury os almost healed... but your demon is my concern. I'm sure you are tired by all your efforts today and I dont want it to get an advantage over you. We have to try to get away.... at the least, we have to get out of the tree cover and out in the open."
The moon wasbeginning to rise and its light would give them something to see their enemy by. The open would give them room to manuever... it would give the demon the same advantages, but it also gave the creature less places to hide.

Kiryn glanced from Ceri to Kay and back again before his gaze settled on Kay. Intense and stern, his eyes didn't waver as he listened to Kay yell and be generally upset. He shook his head abit. "My Queen has soldiers around her constantly, they are more than enough to protect her. Right now, right now my friends are the ones that need protecting....If we run it will only chase us. Some one must stay behind and fight so the others have a chance for escape. I have my sword and the training of a warrior. Even injured I can fight competently." He frowned slightly. "Sometimes hard decisions must be made."

Ceri blinked as Kay began to yell, tilting her head to the side. She had a point with the demon thing but Ceri simply smirked per usual and put her hands on her hips as she waited through and pretended to be bored. In all honesty she was worried… more worried about the others then herself though she knew without the blade and protective armor…this could be…dangerous.

“So dramatic… both of you. I’ll find a way to save him Princess” she said with a wink at kay, “I still have my magic… the others need you though… you need to get THEM to safety…we’ll be alright. I have a nifty little holy dagger and Kiryn at my side. Now shoo!” Ceri said with a warm smile, her piercing eyes narrowing on Kay’s determinedly. Honestly she liked the forest… she too could hide..

Kisha watched all this, her senses on full alert as she caught wind of the demon. She sighed. "Or I could just stay behind while all of you run. Not like my loss would be much to you. Plus, I have certain...abilities that tend to get myself and others out of trouble. Only thing I ask is that you keep your ears shut. And tight." She smiles slightly, her eyes twinkling, the swirls of blues and greens untraceable. "Or you will be caught as well."

Kay could not believe all of the stubborness surrounding her (including her own) It seemed they all wanted to stay and fight, and each for their own reason, and she had to admit, they all had valid reasons. But whose was right? Kay had a feeling Kisha's was the more valid. She had no idea what the woman was implying, and knew now was not the time to ask.... But Kay knew that it was no good trying to convince the others that one person's reason was more valid, or more right than the others.... She could only hope that the others saw the logic in Kisha's reason better than she herself did....
"Fine, Lyre and I will go farther off..... I dont know why I ever tried to reason with you two," She glanced over at Kisha, "You might as well come along.... they wont see reason when they are being like this. We will just have to come pick up the pieces then they are done fighting that thing.... or done being eaten by it." She muttered the last part.
She then turned very slowly to walk off into the woods. "By the way, I hope the demon knows to stay here and fight you" She hollered over her shoulder. "It sure would suck if, despite your sacrificial effort to protect us, the demon was lured more by my Holy Blade and came to my hiding place where I would get the joy of fighting it alone." Kay continued to walk slowly, giving someone time to change their mind and call her back. She let the magic of the Blade seep into her, causing her wings to sprout, her armour to appear and her Dagger blade to grow from her arm guards. She let a little extra magic seep out into the night air, and she knew she had the demon's attention. "Yep, sure would suck.... Come on Kisha, Lyre.... we have to run away so that Kiryn and Ceri can prove something to themselves...."

Inside, Kay knew she was acting a bit childish and selfish in taunting not only Ceri and Kiryn, but the demon too... She knew that one of them would probably call her on her little trick of manipulation... but she did not care. She had already seen her friends gravely hurt once, she did not want to see it again. If they wanted to fight, then she would fight with them, or none of them would fight at all.

Kisha shook her head when Kay called her to go with and looked at Kiryn. "You know what I am and I hope you understand the implications of the abilities that I have. Get going, Fae. Your in no shape to fight, as well as anyone here, besides me. I only depleted my healing magic. Go. I will stall the demon long enough for you all to be safe. Trust me in that."

Kiryn wasn't trying to prove anything to anyone. He was only trying to keep his friends alive. He grit his teeth. "Kay!" Kiryn yelled. His voice stern and full of anger. "What are you thinking? Leaking magic to lure the demon towards the very people we're trying to protect. Are you...do you.." He turned to face the human that was slowly walking away from them. The anger had left his voice, now only full of confusion and hurt. "...do you want them to die? Are you..." He shivered a bit. "..Have you turned on us?" He couldn't understand why she was acting in such a way. Why would she want the demon to find her and Lyre.

Ceri sighed as the others joined in with staying there, putting her head in her hand a moment. This was…ridiculous… she couldn’t help but begin to chuckle. They were all trying to do the same thing really… and is kiryn spoke it made it that much more tragic… and that much more funny. She shook her head and reached over to touch his shoulder.

“No sweetheart…she hasn’t’ turned on us. She’s trying to turn hero and force us to go with her… foolishly mind you but she is….” Ceri chuckled again and shook her head, “It’s kinda cute really…stupid, but cute…” With that she winked at Kay before glancing towards the direction her own inner demon said the demon was in….

Kay smiled at Ceri, the bright witch had figured out her trick, to a point, "Well, maybe not force you to go with me, you could still stay here and let me fight alone, and no worries, Lyre would have been safe. But I do think that if we all were to stay together, and fight together, we would stand more of a chance...
And Kiryn, I dont turn my back on friends, ever. I had no intention of getting myself killed, that would not help me in any way. And leaking my magic out was no worry either. The demon already knew we were here, was already moving in towards us. It has been getting closer and closer. All my magic did was tell it exactly what waited for it here if it attacked, which would be death. So, now the demon knows that we have the power of a holy blade, and it still comes. It was not irresponcible, it just was a good way to get my point accross.
Me trying to fight alone, it is just as silly and irresponcible as you trying to fight alone. Earlier today you could barely walk for lack of balance, Ceri had a hole through her legs, and I was so magically drained I couldnt see straight. I admit we are all better than we were, but we are all still weak, and easy pickings for that demon."
Kay lifted herself off the ground and flew over to Kiryn, "Can you feel how strong it is? Can you sense what it is?" She laid a hand on his arm. "I can, I want you to see what I am feeling through the blade."
She released the smallest strand of magic that she could into him, just like the Blade voice in her mind told her to do. She released all the intent she had gathered from the demon. She showed him its strengths, its weaknesses, and its form. She dropped her hand. "Kiryn, even my Blade trembles from its power. It feels almost human, but not enough to count. I know I dont have the skill to truely fight it."
"Ceri... Do you know what kind of demon it is?"

Got into a car accident earlier this week and that's been probably the best thing that's happened. If you took me out of the cast I understand, I just thought I'd let everyone know.]]

Kiryn was frowning deeply, then he sighed lightly. That hand clutching tight to his sword hilt as he watched Kay. "...I just want to protect everyone.." He mumbled softly before sighing again and shaking his head a bit. Nodding slightly. "There is strength in numbers, but I...I don't want anyone else to risk getting hurt." He looked away for a moment, then back at Kay. "We should kill it as quickly as we can, then." He was still frowning.

Kay listened to him with understanding, she too did not want to see anyone else hurt, but with the information the blade was giving her, she knew that was close to wishful thinking...

Kisha was getting antsy, her eyes turning dark green-blue. She looked at the fighters, her own green blood boiling to kill the demon. She feared for these people, though she does not know them. She found that she actually cares. She drew her elvin curved sword with one hand and a round smooth ball full of sand and water. Her hand started to glow a dark blue with her offense magic, the ball glowing with an inner magic as well. "Ladies and gentlemen, figure out NOW what your going to do. That demon is almost here. I for one think you should all leave because I can paralyze to a certain extent that I could kill it. But if you stay within hearing range, you will be paralyzed as well. But I will fight another way if you stay. Theres just no garuntee that way." She looked at each of them, her eyes darkening. "Make your choice now!"

"I will stay" Kay said, Drawing her dagger from her arm guard.



The demons aura was very stong now, Kay could tell that it was just on the other side of a large bolder...

Kisha nods, the glow around the ball and her hand expanding as she caught scent of the demon and the sounds of its coming. "I suppose I'll use my distraction as a last resort. As my people say 'Kilashia Ma Tunay.' May you fare well in battle." Her dark green-blue eyes turned and fixated on the direction the demon is coming from.

Kiryn was tense, the tattered remnants of his wings twitching a bit anxiously. That frown only seemed to deepen the longer they stood there. The longer they waited for their stalker to pounce. His once long hair falling around his face and shoulders now in uneven strands, but he stood tall and fierce. Like any warrior worth his salt, not just a warrior though, but a Knight of the Queen. However, title and status often meant little in battle. He gripped his sword tightly. His body tensed, then relaxed. Looser muscles meant faster reaction.

The demon was behind a large boulder, just hidden from their sight. The foliage and underbrush began to rustle. Not the rustling of someone walking or lumbering through it..but it sounded like a scuffle of some type. A yelp and a groan was heard before the boy was seen. Tumbling into view and landing at Kiryn's feet with a grunt and a huff of annoyance. Blinking and looking up at the faery, those lips parted but before he could say anything the menacing humanoid demon that Kay had sensed stepped into view. There was no doubt that this boy was also a demon though he seemed harmless enough compared to what had just stepped into view.

Kisha was surprised for merely a second when the boy came into view. As soon as the demon appeared, however, she stepped forward, in front of the rest of the group, and flung the ball in her hand. Steam seemed to come off it as the speeding ball of fire water embedded itself into the demon, burning any flesh it touched, boiling water oozing from the ball, the sand not going with it. She glowed blue with her power, her curved sword ready to tear into the demon.

Ceri shivered, leaning on the cane still though it was not the wound that made her shiver. The presence of not one, but two, demons was stirring the demon sealed inside her. She ran her free hand through her hair, studying the nearest demon. He was almost cute really, even with his twisted horns but Ceri of all people knew looks could be deceiving. He’d been fighting…that much was clear… so demon versus demon hmm? Interesting….

Her Icy blue eyes then switched to the other demon, narrowing slightly. This was not well timed… her leg was not healed enough… though no longer bleeding it was still limiting her movement…. Sighing she reached over and touched the small dagger at her waist, glad that the holy blade had at least left her that…which didn’t burn like the powerful holy stone….

Kay was glad that she would have help in this fight, but she still worried about everyones safety. No time to think of that now, I hear the bushes moving, its time to focus now. But something felt off to Kay. The powerful demon that she felt was not moving. It might be a distraction... The boy tumbled from the brush, and the demon moved at the same time. The boy was not a threat, the blade told her that, but the real demon was just coming into view.

It looked like her mother. Then it looked like her best friend from the human world. It looked like Ceri, like Lyre, finally, it looked like Kay and a serpentine tounge slithered out of its mouth. Kay stood frozen. She knew that it was not real, she kept telling herself it was not real. It was all a trick. But that knowledge still did not make her any less terrified. "You are willing to risk your life for your friends Blade holder... But are you willing to kill yourself?"
Kay did not know if the others were seeing the same thing, hearing the same thing, but she hoped they had more wits about them than she did. She also assumed the creature was pulling images from Kay's mind, how else would it know what her mother and her friend looked like from the human world. But even that was unsettling, if it could see images in her head, could it see her thoughts? Kay was petrified where she stood, staring at herself as the demon began to advance again.
