Ceri followed after him absently, her hands in her jean pockets…being myra was asleep in one of her coat pockets. She watched him quizzically, her eyes as intense and bright as ever….the dullness of earlier gone as if it was never there. The demon had been buckled in it’s place once more, the elf once again in perfect control… and also curious.

As he placed her favorite fruits on the table Ceri’s eyebrows raised and her dark lips briefly parted in surprise only tip into a wide smirk. “Still as prepared as always…” She murmured in an almost grateful tone. She walked then to the basket, taking one of the fruits and then a deep bite. It had been so long since she’d tasted this particular fruit…being they didn’t have it in the human world. She forgot how good it was and so let out a content sigh, looking to Lyre…. Just what was that medicine for?

Kay had heard the rules that Kiryn had layed out before her. "Pull wings off? Is that even possible? They look kind of attached." She reached over and gently touched one of his wings before realized that might intrude on his personal space. "Sorry," she snatched her hand back. "I just wanted to see what they felt like. They feel a lot harder than they look."
Kay watched as Lyre had gone back into a different room, and had watched as Ceri and Myra (being in her pocket) followed. They were only gone for a few moments, so she figured they were just working out sleeping arrangements. "Hey Lyre! Thanks for the food!" she hollered into the kitchen after him. "Do you want me to make dinner for everyone tonight? I feel like I owe you all. You kind of saved my life today after all...." Kay felt like she should be doing something more to show her gratitude and being a stranger in this place made it very hard.

((Oh wow, you all have been posting like crazy while I was at work today. Just so you all know, I will probably only be on in the evenings most days, but on tuesdays and thursdays I will be popping in at random throughout the day :) I have school starting back tomorrow >.<))

"Of course they're attached...that's why you aren't supposed to pull them off." He had given her an odd look, but when she reached over and touched one of his gossamer wings, both twitched abit and he rolled his shoulders slightly. His expression changed, for just that brief moment when her fingers had touched that wing. A shiver had run down his spine and his expression had softened slightly. "Don't...do that without permission..It's rude." His words were rather soft though, not as stern as they usually were.

"Sorry" Kay said again. "Its just, guys back home dont have them, I was just curious." She blushed, then smiled. "So I guess it would be rude to touch people's tales too huh?" She tried to change the conversation to make it less awkward.

Hearing her speak Ceri slowly stood, walking to look in on her and Kiryn. For a moment she smirked to herself, running her hand through her hair as she watched the two. They were kinda cute….she then felt the demon stir, growling and tearing with enough ferocity that she was forced to look at the ground to hide the pain of it. Then she knew… It wanted the human, it wanted Kay and her soul as a meal…Then again… It had always loved humans…

She managed a smirk, pushing away the demon and it’s hunger. It took her a moment for her to relax and uncurl her hand from the fist it had formed but she appeared herself again. She would keep the demon in control…that was after all the duty she undertook.. “Awww aren’t you two cute.” She murmured with a grin, her glittering eyes focused on both with equal intensity.

Kay shot her a dirty look and taunted back "Did you and Lyre have fun working out living arrangements?"
She still wasnt sure if Ceri was someone to trust, it was something about her eyes that just made Kay uncomfortable, it was like Ceri was looking at a dinner plate sometimes, but Kay might have been the main course. But she is so nice, and I have had a hard day. I am probably just scaring myself, she thought, and tried to brush the feeling off.

Ceri could see the attempt at a taunt and it simply encouraged her, turning a simple observation into a match of wills. She wanted to play it seemed…Well she could do that…. Unable to control her own mischief, she let out a soft sigh before sauntering slowly forward as she spoke and gazed at the floor in a falsely dejected manner. “Oh my no… seems I’m going to be in a cold bed alone tonight…Unless…”

She then took the final step to arrive within reach of Kay. That same instance she drew up her hand to touch Kay’s chin and lift it gently to meet her emerald green eyes with her own pale ones. “You want to offer…” For a moment she would look dead serious, her eyes soft and admiring…… only for her to let go of her chin and laugh her creepy little laugh. “Just kidding, don’t worry you two.” She stated with a wink at Kiryn as she mused Kay’s hair a little.

Kay knew her little jibe had been turned against her. "Just wait Ceri, Lyre still might let me make dinner. If so, you might want to be careful when you eat yours. You might not get to be in bed at all," and with that remark Kay grabbed her own stomach and faked the worst puking noises and started to laugh histerically. "So who wants me to make Burgers? I think Lyre got everything I need for them."

“I’m hurt, can’t a girl look into those pretty pools of Jade without getting poisoned?” Ceri responded with pouty lip and all. She then frowned, however, at the word burgers. Due to some complications with the demon she’d become a strict vegetarian… not liking the predatory strength …and hunger, it encouraged. She quickly turned the frown into a smirk, however, shrugging her shoulders as she let her hand slide down over Kay‘s hair only to fall limply to her own side. “I never question a cook…” She said with a wink, glancing at the piece of fruit still in her hand before taking a thoughtful nibble. She’d just eat the basket of fruit if it came to that…

"Well, since it would be no fun to poison you, I will just have to find some other way...." Kay jumped up from her seat and looked around, suddenly realizing that Myra had been gone for a while. "Hey where did that little cat-girl go?"

((Remember Kay is clueless as to Myra's shapeshifting Nature :D.... And I am going to bed Night all~!))

Ceri smirked, tilting her head to the side and twitching an ear. She could only chuckle, fairly confident she could defend herself just fine from Kay….but her spirit was kinda attractive. Perhaps she would not be helpless after all, maybe she was even capable of learning a spell or two…

Her musing and intense gaze was interrupted, however, as Kay leaped up. “Oh calm down, she’s in my pocket taking a nap.” The elf said with another velvet chuckle. She then gazed down at the pocket in question, poking the little kittens ear just barely visible above the edge of her coat pocket. She then realized that Kay had not likely seen Myra shift and smirked a moment, curious if she would figure it out. So she watched....waiting to see Kays reaction.

Lyre let a half-smile show on his face at Ceri's words. After she had left the kitchen he quickly ducked his head under a stream of freezing cold water to clear his thoughts. He shook his head to get water droplets out and then stood back up, hair dripping water onto his clothes. He was startled by Kay's question and poked his head into the sitting room, "You can cook your own meals I suppose, but I doubt you'd know how to use my kitchen." Slowly the rest of his body followed his head and he moved fully into the room, taking a kneeling position on a cushion next to Kiryn, "I think I should cook tonight at any rate. Everybody looks like they could use some rest right about now anyway."

Kay stared at Ceri. "In your pocket? Ceri, Im being serious. I havent seen her for a while now. She's just a kid. We should go look for her." Kay started to walk towards the front door then paused, "Dont worry Kiryn, Im not running again, just seeing if Myra is playing outside." She looked through the front door and then stepped out and peeked around the side of the house. She couldnt see her anywhere.
She went back inside and saw the smirk on Ceri's face. "You could help me look you know. She seems like the kind of girl who gets into trouble easy."

"Myra's not a child." Lyre called out after Kay. He sighed and put his head into his hands again, why were humans so...difficult to deal with? He was sure Myra had already told Kay how old she was. It seemed kind of wrong that Kay continued to refer to Myra as a child. Even if she was still one in Lyre's eyes, but he had an excuse, he had raised her for a while.

Kay stopped staring down Ceri and looked back at Lyre. "I know she said she was like ABAZILLION years old, and thats great. But she is still small. She looks like 12 year old where I come from at best. Im sure you all think I am being silly, but I cant help but worry." Kay walked further into the house still looking for Myra. I bet Ceri knows where she is and is just keeping it from me to make me look like a dumb bint. Kay walked back into the living room and sat back down on her cusion. "Ok everyone is looking at me like Im a nut, would you like to let me in on the secret? Where is Myra?"

Ceri spoke up then, not having intended to let it get that far but having gotten…distracted by one of the demons little fits. So she’d stood there like a smirking statue until now… “I told you, She’s in my pocket. She’s a shape shifter Kay.. And currently in the form of a small kitten. I may be a bitch Kay, but I‘m no liar.” Came her cheerful answer.

As if to show her she took the kitten out of her pocket carefully a moment and pointed to the bell around Myra’s throat. “Look familiar?” Ceri asked quietly as she gazed at Kay with her usual deep stare…yet there was something soft in her voice for a moment. “You can not trust appearances here Kay, rarely is anything exactly what it seems.”

Kay slowly walked over to Ceri and geltly lifted the bell that was resting on the kittens chest. "This is Myra? Oh.... wow. You man earlier the cat I was snuggling? Was Myra?" Kay turned a little paler. "Things are so... different here." She scratched behind the kittens ear absent-mindedly while she looked at each person in the room. She studied each of them really hard. "Um, does anyone else have a unique talent I should no about now? Or are you just going to surprise me with it and see how long it takes me to figure it out? I mean none of you are secretly a human eating dragon or something, right?"

Ceri listened to Kay a moment but tilted her head to the side as if debating something inwardly… her ever present smirk in place. She could sympathize with Kay better then most… having spent the last forty years in the human world due to the demon. Still, she really couldn’t let her know that… as always it was better to keep away and be the creepy kid in the corner…

“Oh… I wouldn’t call it unique but when I say I’m a bit of a witch, I’m understating things…” Ceri said with a grin and a wink, enjoying her own play on words. She then extended a single finger tip to tap Kays nose in a gentle, playful way but her eyes briefly became slightly hard…as if she meant every word of her next warning. “There is no spell I cant cast, so you can never really trust me.” She then chuckled as she always did, the velvety sound falling out of her as she smiled and returned to her usual mischievous look. She dropped her hand and then crossed her arms a little, simply smirking.

"Well I will trust your word on that Ceri, I will just asume as far as witchy things go, you are more of an expert than me." Kay looked back down at the little kitten that Ceri was still holding. "So is she just a kitten right now, or is she still completely Myra?"

It wasn’t just witchy things she couldn’t be trusted in, but Ceri couldn’t say it without someone observing something… so she simply shrugged her shoulders. “yeah, she’s still myra.” Ceri said with a shake of her head, turning her head to glance out the window. She let the kitten slip back into her pocket a moment. She just stared out it a moment before glancing at Lyre. Teasing softly she said “Still worrying about everyone… Isn’t he cute Kay?”

"If you say so," Kay rolled her eyes. "So Lyre, you want to cook? Whats for dinner? Im starved."

Lyre blinked quickly at being addressed, "Oh, what do you feel like eating? I'm sure I've got something for everybody." Then he frowned slightly, "Be careful with your words Kay, lo-" He paused and shook his head, before continuing, "Some people would be offended by that statement. You aren't actually starving, just really hungry." He had heard many human sayings like those during his random visits to the human world but when used in the Underhill society, almost everything took on a literal meaning.

Having succeeded in what she intended, distracting Kay from herself Ceri nodded in satisfaction. Slowly she slipped to the couch, sitting Myra down onto a comfortable pillow. She needed to go outside for just a moment…

Hearing Lyre speak she smirked a moment but simply slipped out the door. She had felt something… something that made the demon feel just a little too satisfied… Slowly she raised her arm, her armor gliding into place from her shoulder to her wrist. For a moment she felt nothing, but then there was a rush of air to her left. She spun towards the feeling, soon finding a large dog like demon clamping its jaw down on her armored arm which easily fit into it‘s large maw. It whimpered, coughing as it stepped back from the holy energy coursing through the armor though it’s fang had caught her forearm slightly so now she was bleeding. “Hello there….” she murmured softly.

"Offended? Oh Im really sorry. I am just really really hungry. Are there people here in underhill who starve? Thats horrible! Dont you have government assistence for hungry people here?" Kay had heard of a civilized country not taking care of its people. Maybe they arent civilized here yet. They do still carry swords and use dungeons and things. Maybe they just havent advanced that far. But she doubted that was the case. Besides, what civilized country had medicine like Lyre's, he had healed her in under 15 minutes flat, no scar, no scab. It was like she had never been thrown from her mothers truck, in fact looking at herself she would have never known, except for the fact that she was stuck in Underhill with strange peoples and customs she had never heard of. I have a feeling that until I am more farmiliar with this place, I will be doing a lot of offensive things, I hope no one takes it too personal.

Whimpering coming from the direction Ceri had left in had Lyre on his feet in an instant. He waved a hand at Kay, motioning for her to be quiet, and to not follow him. He quietly crept down the hall and stood in the doorway, blinking slowly at the dog demon standing to one side, Ceri on the other side, bleeding. His eyes darted from one to the other and weighed his options silently.
