Chloe smiled up at him happily. "I'm glad. I quite enjoy being around you too! It's rather enlightening, really. I don't know why, but it's just fun for me."

Drake smiled, "I'm glad you feel the same way." he thought about kissing her, but didn't think it would be a good idea at the time. "Do you want the doctor to check out your ankle while we're in the hospital wing?" Drake asked when the elevator door opened.

"It's okay- He said it'd take some time and I need to at least try to be patient, right?" She laughed, looking up at him still. "So don't worry about it, kay?"

"Okay, I'll try not to." Drake shrugged. He kind of didn't want her leg to heal to fast, he wanted her to stay here as long as possible. He liked her, and didn't want her to leave. They came up to the hospital wing, Drake opened the door for Chloe, "After you."

Chloe rolled in easily in response, nodding to him and looking around for the doctor. "Doctor? Where is he?" Looking to Drake again, she smiled easily. "Any idea? I don't know my way around still." Quite frankly, she didn't care to learn either. Having him help wasn't something she'd complain about.

Drake smiled, "Here he comes now." He came into the hospital wing just as the doctor approached Chloe and himself.


"Hello Chloe and Drake. Janice is doing well," He turns and looks back at the two, "I'll take you guys to her."

"Thank you, Doctor!" Chloe smiled in response, starting to follow and looking to Drake simultaneously. "And thank you again for helping us so much too!"

The doctor nodded in response and brought them to Janice's bed, "Here she is, the little trooper."


Drake smiled, "Not a problem Chloe." he rubbed her back a little lightly as a kind gesture.

Janice looked at them in a slight daze, smiling. "Hi mommy."

"How you doing, kiddo?" Chloe hugged Janice. "You're so strong fighting through." She smiled to the girl. The girl looked to Drake, and soon enough, so did Chloe. They both smiled before looking to each other.

"Mommy seems happy. That's good."

Drake smiled, and looked from Janice to Chloe to see them looking at him and blushed ever so slightly, then looked back at Janice, "Hello Janice. You seem to be doing well."

Janice clapped. "Yep! I feel lots better, but doctor says I should rest more."

"Doctor is probably right." Chloe smiled and hugged the girl gently. "Please do. Okay, Janny?"

"Kay. Mister and Mommy should take good care of themselves too though kay?"

"'Kay Janice, just get some more rest," Drake said and smiled,which faded when he put his hand on Chloe's shoulder, he felt bad asking her even if Janice needed more sleep, "Ready to go?"

The doctor nodded at Drake when he asked the question as if to say, 'That's the correct thing to do.' He turned his head to Janice and asked, "Do you feel pain anywhere Janice?" he just wanted to make sure she could sleep without being interupted by any pain.

Chloe looked to the doctor and smiled, then to Drake, smiling just a bit more warmly than before. When she heard Janice answer that she had a tinge of a headache, she tried to hold back a laugh- how often was it that she heard the girl say such? Not often, but even then, the word 'tinge' was an interesting one to her from a six year old. She looked to Drake suddenly. "I'm actually a tad sleepy myself. Mind if I head to bed for a bit?"

Drake laughed at Janice using the word tinge, then turned to Chloe, "No I don't mind at all, want me to bring you back to your, or do you know the way?"

Chloe smiled slightly in response. "Could you help, per chance? I think I know the way, but knowing my luck that means I only know half of it and will get lost part way there."

Drake laughed, "Certainly." He held out his arm for Chloe. "Once we exit the hospital wing we take a right." Drake spoke as they took the right. "Then..." He looked ahead of him, making sure he was going the right direction, he's gotten lost in his house before. "A Left and we go to the elevator." He smiled at her easily and pressed the button for the elevator.

When the elevator door opened to them, she went in and put her hand lightly on the door to hold it open for him. "Care to join me? Seems roomy enough, don't you think?"

"Yea it does, sure I'll join you. Thanks" He stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the 2nd floor. He looked at the elevator door thinking and quickly decided to do something haphazardly and kissed Chloe's cheek.

"A-Ah-" she jumped, startled from the contact. Though she didn't mind very mild things, such things were still uncommon for her. "I-Is something wrong?" She looked to him soon after with curiosity, trying not to jump to conclusions.

Drake blushed, "Nothing's wrong. Just wanted to do that." He smiled a little nervous as the elevator door opened, "After you."

She found her face heat up, then just nodded and left the elevator in front of him, spinning her chair around to look at him after exiting. "If you're sure."

"Sure?" Drake asked slightly confused as he exited the elevator.

She smiled simply, trying to recall the way. She pointed in a direction, not sure if proper or not. "Is it that way? I wanna see if I remember at all."

"Yes you're right, it's right." Drake laughed.

She smiled, laughing a bit as well due to the pun, which she somehow managed to catch. Then, she began to wheel herself in the same direction she'd pointed, making sure to wait to know he was with her.
