"It's fine," she said, not really noticing much that he'd touched her at all. She was digging through the refrigerator for things like milk and eggs. "Can you put them on the counter near the sink? Oh- and where do you keep the mixing bowls?"

"Okay," Drake said and nodded. "Mixing bowls, Yea, I'll grab them." He went and grabbed the flour from the counter and put the flour, the baking soda, and sugar by the sink. He then went and grabbed the mixing bowls, "Want these by the sink too?"

"Yes please. Hm... I wonder if I can make the chair higher..." She just barely managed to reach to put the ingredients she'd taken out on the counter.

"I think you can with this button." He came over and pointed to the button to show Chloe where it was.

She pushed the button and clapped when she was able to get higher up using the chair. "Thank goodness. Now I can stir!"

"Yes you can." Drake said laughing slightly at her gleefullness.

She diligently began to stir each direction a few times, five going clockwise and then five counter, continually changing every five circles to keep it mixing thoroughly. "It's fun like this."

"I'm glad it is." Drake said and watched her stirring with a smile on his face.

She looked at him curiously. "Can you preheat the oven for me? It needs to be at three-fifty."

"Certainly" Drake said bowed slightly and went to the oven, putting the temperature at 350 and pressed on. He went back and said "All Set Chloe."

"Thank you!" She cheered happily, smiling to him as she finished stirring. "Though now I have to bug you again and ask where you keep the cake pans. All the ingredients are mixed properly- I even managed to make the frosting while at it. Can we have a cake pan to put the dough in though?"

"Your not bugging me, silly. And I believe the cake pans are right here," Drake said and reached for a cabinet next to the stove, pulling one out he handed it Chloe, "Here you go."

She chuckled a bit, smiling. "Thank you very much!" As she cheerfully poured the mixture into the pan, she made sure it was perfectly ready and put it in the oven, going to the frosting and putting it in the fridge. She set a timer she had in her pocket, by fluke, for about half an hour. "Okay. Time to let it cook."

"Okay. What shall we do until then?" Drake asked.

"Not really sure," Chloe responded simply. "Any ideas?"

"Not really." Drake said frowning, "Do you think Janice might have an idea?" he shrugged.

She shrugged, heading towards the door to see Janice had fallen asleep. "Probably not...."

He followed her to the door, "Oh" Drake said. "What do you normally do while you wait for things to bake?" He asked not knowing what else to do.

"Well, Janny and I usually live alone in our own apartment, so I usually just do housework. Right now, though, I doubt I can really do much in that respect."

"Yea, probably not,..." Drake trailed off, "By the time we decide to do something the pastry will be done." He laughed.

"Perhaps we should just rest for now?" She chuckled in response. "I bet Janny would quite enjoy just playing with you again. She's taken quite a liking to you from what I've seen."

"Sure?" He said and pulled out a chair for her then one for himself, which was next to hers. "She does like me doesn't she." Drake laughed lightly, "What about you, what do you think of me?" he looked at her through his peripheral vision and smiled.

She moved the chair out of the way so she could wheel herself under the table. "Hey, neat, I have a built-in chair for now." She giggled, smiling to herself before hearing his question. "I don't really have any thoughts about you. I don't think much, I guess."

Drake hit his head with his hand in stupidity, trying to be a gentleman and forgot that she was in a wheelchair, 'Smooth' he thought to himself, outloud he said "Riiiight." He took his seat next to her, "So what was Janice doing out in the woods originally.", referencing to when the little girl was lost.

"To be honest, I'm not fully sure..." Chloe murmured. "I don't know why, but apparently she and a few friends from her daycare had gone into the woods to play. They'd never done it before, though. All the kids came back but they noticed one was missing from their group and realized Janice had gotten lost from the pack. They called me so I ended up leaving work early to look for her. They were playing hide and seek or something, I believe I was told."
