Balthazar shot a quick look at Tawny, “There’s a small store, I’ll take you there when I get my things” as he slipped into the building. “Feel like coming in out of the street?, you’ll be safe inside for a bit.” He finally disappeared into the darkness of the building, slowly he made sure all his knifes were in place, he hadn’t known them long so he didn’t know if they could be trusted.

Raito got to his feet slowly, ignoring Tawny's hand, not being rude or sexist to her he just didn't trust himself to be able to stand someone at the moment. Truthfully he felt quite sick. He shook his head softly, messing his hair up even more in the process. He stared at the sweatshirt that had been thrown at him but decided not to put it on, it wasn't that cold out anyway. "We should hurry up. The others will be worried and its gotten quite dark..." he said.

"Your right. Nevermind Bal!" She called. "We need to find an entrance to the Catacombs. If I'm not mistaken, the one I used when I first went down is around here somewhere..." She turned in a circle. She ignored the fact that Raito hadn't taken her hand. Once he was up she dropped it back to her side.

Sirius turned the corner of his mouth upward and looked at Aruna with disbelief. His eyes drooped disapprovingly and spoke with the same hint of disbelief that his look gave, "Okay, let me get this straight, you want me to act more gentleman-like, but when I do, you just toss it like it's old garbage. Thanks Aruna, that's just what I needed from you today." He was walking backwards as he said this and fell into the open hole in the ground with moment of him having fear written across his face until he reached the bottom of the sewer. He splashed into the murky water that was home to various creatures and he laid there for a few seconds until he came back to himself, shooting up out of the water and shook continuously hoping to dry himself off. He growled to himself furiously, mumbling to himself, "Wow, I just stole these cigarettes and now they are wet. Is this supposed to be a sign or something? This is a load of ..." He caught himself because he didn't want to be nagged for using crude language.

"I think it's a little ways down from here..." Raito murmured looking down the street. Truthfully he hadn't been around this end of the city much before so he didn't really know where anything was. All he had were vague images and a very basic understanding of where to go and where to avoid.

lilith woke up on the floor next to the tub of water. she fell asleep while waiting for the blood to boil. "great now the blood might have gotten cold." she picked the pouch out and observed the blood. nothing nasty cold, but she would have prefered it warmer though. her eyes changed to a glowing red and her fangs elongated and pulsed for the blood. she gulped down the blood hungily. suddenly her eyes changed back when she took the first drink. she immidiatly spit it all out and puked up any she might have swallowed. "thats not human blood!" she gasped.

Balthazar looked back grabbing his back pack slipping a few things in it, he turned walking out of the door. "Tawn" he yelled "We better hurry, not much time left." As he walked out of the building he noticed the sweatshirt still on the ground, picking it up he looked at Raito -his death- he thought slipping it back on and pulling up the hood. He let the two go ahead of him and lead the way.

lilith walked out her door a second time that say in deperate search for food. her patience was completely worn out and she knew that if she ever saw another human that day, she would go in straight for the kill. the hunger for blood left her eyes a dark red and she couldnt change them back now. she found herself at the place where she saw the humans earlier. she cursed under her breath, now angry at herself for not attacking when she had the chance, and followed their scent as they started walking to somewhere. behind the familiar two humans was a human boy she hadnt seen before. she wanted to jump right in due to how hungry she was, but deceided she would follow them for awile.

"Bal I'm going to take up the rear you lead and I'll give directions. There's not much a knife will do against a vampire and there seem to be a bunch of them back in the other direction. There's a good possibility we'll be jumped." She was in full leader mode now and the commands came very natural to her. Her father had taught her well. "Go down this street a block and once we're there I'll give more directions. Raito, you're in the middle. You're the most vulnerable right now, I'm sorry." She was only apologizing so as not to hurt his pride. When men had their pride hurt they often did stupid things to 'redeem' themselves. "Go on Bal. We need to move."

lilith watched their 'formation' closely and was glad they left the weakest in the middle...then she remembered his blood was no good to her and frowned. the human girl in the back looked yummy, but she didnt have a very good attitude. she decided the best thing to do was to go go for their weakness and see if any would offer their life for his. lilith clutched her hands into fists and ran head on into the boy. they both fell to the ground, but lilith was sturdy enough to quickly regain her footing and held him in an arm lock. she held it loosely though to make sure he would stay alive. "now, im a bit hungry. and i want human blood this time." she smiled crookedly and nodded to the girl. "put your weapon down and i wont snap his nech right here and now."

Balthazar turned crouching and pulling one of his small blades from his back pocket, stopping himself from lungeing at the vampire holding raito. He looked over at Tawny, "Tawn" he said softly, "what you got?". He carried little to nothing for vampire, though for werewolves he was equipped enough with small silver needles and blades in his boots. This though was something he wasnt equipped for.

"How's your aim?" Tawny asked without taking her eyes from Raito and the vampire. Lilith. That's what she'd said her name was before. Without waiting for an answer Tawny flung her arm out toward Balthazar. She hoped that Lilith wasn't too startled by the sudden movement. It wouldn't be good for Raito if she thought that Tawny was attacking. As she flung out her arm another, smaller, thinner stake flew out. She belatedly prayed that Bal could catch. "Don't kill her. She's weak from hunger there's a good chance she'll be easy to take down alive. Aim for something non vital." She said all this calmly. Bal was behind the vampire so it'd be easier for him to hit Lilith without hitting Raito; though she had little doubt that if she were to do something she wouldn't hurt Raito a bit.

The stake coursed through the air, not fast but not slow either. If Bal didn't catch it he'd be in for a world of hurt.

lilith watched as the girl, called tawn apparently, flinched her arm out. at first lilith thought she was attacking and she tightened her grip on the boy, raito, ready to kill but stopped herelf as she saw she only threw a weapon to the the other boy. "and what do you plan on doing with that?"she smirked. "you cant hit a target if its too fast for you. i may be weaker due to my hunger and im sure you guys know that seeing as it is, i will not underestimate you, but i am still stronger than two human children and a..."she looked down at the boy she held captive"...what are you?were you bitten by a werepuppy or a vampire?"

Balthazar without a secound thought in one fluid motion slid his knife into his back pocket and reached out to catch the object. Sliding in a circle as he caught the stake turning switching to his right throwing arm, "Hows that for catching" he said throwing a wink at tawny. Balthazar rolled the stake in his hand, "Not what im used to throwing but about the same weight, cant be to hard can it?" He looked at the vampire, "Let me introduce myself, Im Balthazar Ray." he said bowing awkwardly in his crouched stance.

lilith fake laughed then shot him a deadly look "pleased to meet you balthazar ray. my name is lilith." she sighed in frustration because it seemed that raito was sqirming. "quit it" she snapped at him. lilith turned to balthazar a second time and with her free hand waved her index finger at him as if to say 'bring it'.

"Oh no bloodsucker. Even in your prime you'd be no match for me." A slow, wicked smile crept over her face. "If given the time I'd have taken down another of your kind probably hundreds of years your senior. But she ran away." In that moment, a dangerous light came into Tawny's eyes. She probably looked quite intimidating. She doubted that'd have much effect on a hungry vampire though. "Nice catch Bal. Little flashy but it works. Remember. The stake is much lighter in the front than at the back you'll have to compensate so that it flies straight. Don't throw though yet though. She'll move and you'll throw it straight through Raito's skull."

Once more that wicked smile came onto Tawny's lips as she turned her attention fully back to the vampire. She took a few steps forward, dropping into a shallow hunting crouch. For all intents and purposes she looked like the vampire stalking her prey rather than the other way around.

Balthazar laughed, "Well one through the skull would give her no bargaining chip." he watched tawny change her stance, shouting at her "If i didn't know any better id put one through yours." "Lilith it is.. well hello, we seem to be in quiet a predicament us on either side of you, and you have something that we want." "If you want blood we can give you some... well i will, if we all go our other ways and all of us live to see another day?" he said popping a knife out of one of his pockets.

lilith laughed at the tawny girl and smiled, "well dont you look adorably visious." she turned to balthazar concidering his offer and smirked. "you dont have enough blood to offer. i need a full body and thats just the way it is."she shrugged. "now. is anybody interested in this young man's life or shall i dispose of it since its such an inconvinience to you two?"she raise one of her perfectly plucked eyebrows and sneered, "well i guess you wont be interested anymore since hs not human anymore...."

"Adorably vicious. Hmph. You'll think adorable when you're adorably dead." Tawny said cooly. Though her appearance was unlike her normal self, she retained her level-headedness. "Bal is right. You kill him you've got no bargaining chip. You'll be dead the instant he is." Her words were confident. No trace of fear or insecurity. This was because there was none. She was entirely sure that she would be victorious on her own against a vampire, even without Balthazar's help. With it, there was no way possible they would lose. Just because he isn't human doesn't make him like you... At least yet. He still has a chance. She thought to herself. "How ya' doin' Raito? Still alright?" She asked, her eyes glued to the vampire.

Raito's hands that had been wrapped around Lilith's arm slackened when she said that. Not...human...? He hadn't even considered that. It would explain so much, even the reason as to why that werewolf had stopped it's attack. He hung his head, bangs falling to cover both eyes, "You two should go. I'll be fine." he murmured.

"The hell I will. I'm not leaving unless you can come too. Whether you're human or not you aren't like them." Tawny's gaze turned to Raito for a moment. Her eyes showed indignation. She was nothing if not loyal. "Come on Lilith. You and I both know that you don't want his blood. Why keep him like this?" She was slowly, very slowly, making her way forward. She slid her feet toward Lilith inch by inch so slow that the movement probably wouldn't be able to be detected.

liliths head snapped down and stared at him. "shut up...your not helping" she snapped at her hostage. she turned to tawny and smirked. "your cockiness will be the end of you one day.."she smiled

"Not cocky. Confident. Cocky people only think that they are capable. Confident people know." She didn't move any farther forward, knowing that any steps closer from here would only result in the vampire seeing her.

Raito lifted his head, a smirk on his face, "Of course not. Since when has a hostage ever helped their captor?" He said slowly, noting how far away Tawny was...maybe if he could create a distraction. He gulped and did the first thing that came to mind, he bit into Lilith's arm. People say vampire skin is impenetrable or something like that. Not true...at least not in Raito's case. He felt his teeth sink into Lilith's skin and tasted blood, almost gagging as it dripped into his mouth.

she turned to tawny and smiled like a nice little lady. "if you say so." she shrugged of tawnys confidence and felt a pain surge in her arm. she glanced down and laughed. "you think your going to hurt me like that?" she smirked and grabbed him again ah he got out of her reach for a slit second. she tightened her grip and moved her now bleeding arm lower so that he couldnt get to it. "now! will you trade your life for his or not?"she commanded.
