Kaito blinked and then looked down at the cat standing at his feet mewling up at him. "Geez...no freakin' way." He bent down and picked the cat up, placing him on his shoulder before continuing down the stairs. What else would happen today? A garden magically exploding up in the middle of his living room...? no, stop that, if you think like that it might actually happen. Kaito chastised himself.

Nah, Leader doesn't know how to spring gardens up in the human world. Came Brae's voice inside Kaito's head. The cat purred and nuzzled his new charge, rubbing his face all over Kaito's. This was going to be interesting. I can't get caught, and I heard people. So...just say I'm a cat you found, okay? You want to keep me.

Kaito gave a start at the voice and then realized the rest of his family was home. "Err..." Well now this was awkward, "honey...why is there a cat on your shoulder? I thought you didn't like...animals...?" His mother asked. "Uhh...well you see...the poor guy looked hungry so i thought...maybe i could make...an exception?" "Oh my baby! You're growing up so quickly!" She shouted throwing her arms around Kaito. Kaito's face turned pink, Don't you dare laugh. He thought harshly.

Brae wasn't laughing, Aww! How sweet! She loves you! Who is this, Kaito? Should I chase her out? The cat purred as it moved to the woman's shoulder, pushing up against her head. He let loose a tiny mew, sounding absolutely adorable.

"Aww...isn't he just the most darling thing?" She cooed, scratching behind Brae's ears. That's my mother. It would be a bad idea to chase her out. And the guy standing over there with his face in his hand sighing is my dad. No chasing either of them out.' kaito thought, exasperated. Kaito untangled himself from his mother's hold and stood back up to his full height, "i was just going to go make some food...you want anything?"
"No, it's alright son. We already ate." His father replied. Kaito nodded and then picked brae back up and set him on his shoulder again, "Alright, I'll be in the kitchen then."

A happy kitty purred and nuzzled all that he was given to. When he was back on Kaito's shoulder, he nuzzled happily. Mm...okay. Anyone else I should know? I guess I shouldn't worry about any other pets... Because he was trained to kick dog butt in this form. Also...you might want to get some cat things to keep from getting caught. Because you are keeping me.

'Yea yea yea, tomorrow okay? We'll go shopping tomorrow.' kaito agreed. then he entered the kitchen and made a beeline for the fridge, 'Looks like i'm cooking then...' He pulled out random items and then stared at them, 'How does white cheddar macaroni and cheese sound?'

Um...can you put some tuna in it? He liked fish. Canned tuna is fine with me, as long as I can eat fishesss... Brae would definitely eat all of that, too. He was starving, that much was for sure. His stomach growled loudly, and he hopped down onto the counter.

'Yea sure.' Kaito moved to the cabinet and pulled out two cans of tuna and a can opener. After he had cooked the noodles he added the melted cheese and mixed it up before dumping the tuna in. He mixed that up and then set it to the side so that he could clean up. While he was rinsing the cans out he cut himself with the edge of one of the lids. He watched the blood well up for a moment before sticking it under water, "Oops." he muttered.

The cat perked at the scent of blood and padded over, stepping carefully and tugging the other's finger to his tongue. He lapped at the cut gently a few times, getting it to stop. Soon he had the cut nearly sealed shut; he was a natural-born healer from his universe. Is that better?

'y-yes. yes it is. thanks.' kaito quickly wiped his hands on a towel to dry them and then picked Brae up with one hand, the other picking up the bowl of pasta. He wandered over to the staircase, "I'm going to my room." he called into the living room. A faint okay was his reply. He climbed the stairs quickly, having heard brae's hungry stomach before and then set the bowl on the table, "here. You can eat here. I'm gonna go take a shower." He grabbed random clothes from his closet and then went back down the attic stairs to the bathroom on the floor below.

Brae just nodded, seating himself cutely and eating slowly; he had tried to dive in already and it had burnt his tongue. He whimpered as he ate, only hoping that he would be okay to continue eating. He hate most, if not all of, the bowl finished by the time the other returned, and he lay on the bed, bathing himself and purring like a chainsaw. He was pretty happy. What he didn't seem to realize is that he was a naked person, butt up and wiggling around for Kaito.

Kaito walked into his room, rubbing his hair dry with his towel, "Hey Brae..." The towel dropped from Kaito's hands as his face turned red. He quickly turned around and rummaged through his closet before throwing the first shirt he could find at the other boy, "Put that on."

Blinking a little, he looked at the other, and suddenly realized that he seemed to be too high off of the ground. Blushing slightly, he tugged on the shirt. So-sorry...I...didn't realize I wasn't..still in my other form. He was still unused to changing, it seemed

'It's fine.' kaito thought back, banging his head lightly on the wall to get the image out of his head. 'Just...be more careful next time...'

Are you okay, Kaito? It isn't right to beat your head into a wall like that. You could sustain brain damage. Brae replied with a ssmile, looking honestly helpful. I think it's best for us to talk like this when your family is home, by the way. That way they don't get suspicious. Good idea? He offered a large, happy smile. His butt still hung out of the shirt, but his front was somewhat covered, compared to his rear.

what's the point? They think I'm deranged anyway.' he replied back to digging through his closet for a pair of shorts or something. Then he tossed them to Brae.
