Maybe this will cheer you up? Many years ago, my mother worked with some crazy characters. One of them was named Patty, and another was named Maggie. Maggie had had an unsuccessful date the evening before, and was feeling pretty down on herself. She was complaining that she would never get married, because she is too fat and ugly. Patty, in her usual fashion, tried to console her:

Now Maggie, stop it. Just stop it. You're not that fat, and you're not too ugly.

What kind of office do you work in anyway? It doesn't sound like a great work environment. Although I'm sure those tools think they are brightening up the place with their "jokes".

I normally like my job. I don't see these people for the most part, they work in another building...I just got stuck with them today....and I am working on two hours of sleep right now so not in the best mood to deal with them. And yes, they do think they are funny....and I am pretty much alone at work today so....

Oh. Well the good news is that it is just a once in a blue moon sort of thing, then :) I'm glad you like your job on a regular basis. A lot of people don't feel fulfilled at their work...

I imagine it's easy to get caught up in this world cup fever. I might turn on the telly myself, and see if it is on anywhere. Poor scamp. Was it at least in good shape when you found it?

Yeah he was all bouncy and friendly. He was outside Manchester uni and while I was strokin him and seein if he had a tag on a girl from the uni said he was there when she got in at 9 (it was 3 when we were there) we went to the newsagents down the road a little and he said he'd call the police to get someone to go and get him. I wanted to bring him home but dad said no. :(

I felt really bad leaving him, he was trying to follow me and barking. He scratched my arm with his claws jumping up. I think most people were just ignoring him, good thing it was quite cold today.
