It's nothing like that... *shakes head* I watched my sister's cat get put down... The cat was staring at Kay the whole time, and a blood vessel burst during the injection...I swear that cat was trying to ask why it was happening... I never saw my sister cry like that before.

Strange how the animal stares at you when they're being put down

My Gerbil stared at me when he was put down. Some kid my mum was childminding picked him up out of his cage, dropped him and broke both his back legs.
The kid then did the same to my brother's gerbil, but only broke one of his backl egs.
My brother's recovered, but mine didn't so he had to be put down and he stared at me the whole time too

My cat was purring constantly the whole time she was at the vets till he came out with the injection then she just stopped. I couldn't stay. It's totally nothing like them just going to sleep.

I'm good, need to wash my hair again though. I washed it this morning before I went to work and one of the sprogs has wiped ice lolly in it.

I've never seen an animal that was being put down.
I do know that I'll be off for days if one of my animals die.

I think it depends on the vet really you never hear any animals screaching when they do into see Mr D. the vet we've always had but when other vets have been in you can hear the animal screaching. My guinea pig was fine when he want to see Mr D. and had his staples taken out but when he had a shot with another vet he screached like hell and ran off round the table.

Same with vets and nurses you're always going to have some when it comes to injections that it doesn't hurt and then other they stab it in like they're skewring meat.

Emma (Kay's cat) didn't screech... she just laid there, looking at Kay like "How could you do this to me?"

MY dog goes mental at the Vets
Won't stay still, shakes about, barks like mad...
I don't know how they'd do it if she had to be put down
but I hope she never has to be put down

The house is so empty without Libby
Even when she's been dropped off at the kennels for a little while
I don't think I'd like it if she was never coming home

Mine had already had an injection from the same vet and purred even when she was given that one but the death needle she didn't purr.

@Star: I know that feeling... me and Kay still see Emma around the house... Still doing her usual stuff-- guarding Kay, stalking about...*flops* She was a great kitty.

In the end it's going to come down to is it too cruel to keep the animal alive and in pain, but then there are loads of perfectly fine animals being put down because "they don't look right"

HIM is now wondering if the bionic cat will be classed as a special needs pet like the constipated cats.
