My parents want me to be independent, and I would, if I had someone to live with that I felt safe and happy with... like a friend or something

hopefully you can find something that will make you happy.
and i think you have made a huge first step by living away from home.

try to allow yourself to see you are making progress.
i was wondering if you could look for someone to tutor you in a class.
find ways to make a little bit of one on one connections.

i know it's art but there have got to be students who like to help others perfect their skills.
i'm sorry you can't find anyone interested in the dollies.
maybe if you put up a picture of the ones you are thinking of selling you might find someone that way.

i would keep trying to explain to your father in the best and most calm way you can.

it's a smaller college designed for a smaller amount of students.
not sure what y'all call it.
it's sort of a way to get used to the way the university situation will be.
that way you still are going forward with your education but you are living at home.
plus it's way cheaper so that is a good selling point.
if y'all have them that is.

i googled a bit.
the community colleges we have in the US are similar to your colleges, but you don't have to pay to attend them in England.
universities are like our colleges and you have to be accepted to them and have to pay to attend.

i agree with HIM, Star will figure it out.
hopefully monday your student appointment will spell out all your options.
and will be helpful in making the right choice for Star.
so let's not worry about it until monday and then decide what to do.
