I'm sick of the diva attitude, though, which is why I've been pretty low-key and out of the production loop this year... I want something new! :gonk:
We have an annual One Act Festival, which is basically where six duos of Seniors write/buy and direct their own one acts... The more serious ones rarely work out (I think the last serious one act we had involved abortion... It's a legendary one act - I think they did it in the early '00s - don't quote me on that!), so it's usually a hilarious festival of funniness.
Anyway, I'm totally not writing my own because I don't trust myself. :gonk: My humor seems too niche to translate to the masses!
But I'm definitely directing. (: Or plan to, to say the least.
