I love fish and other seafood! But I feel like I can't eat too much of it, due to contaminants like mercury. oO

I'm sure its not that contaminated.....I love seafood.

Depends on what fish it is. Mercury bioaccumulates, and is stored in muscle tissue (sorry). This means that bigger predatory fish will tend to have more mercury (collected over time from the smaller fish that they eat), and that mercury gets passed on to the people who eat the fish. Who then store it in turn.

well, fish isn't my favorite seafood.

Shellfish can have mercury, too. And other things. Ditto for fish. In moderation, it's fine, though. Just depends on where you are, and the type of seafood you're eating. *shrugs*
