I've actually only ever read Jane Eyre - which was FABULOUS. In my opinion, anyway. A strong heroine is basically the foundation for any damn good story!
I've been meaning to read Wuthering Heights, though - mainly because I listen to lots of Kate Bush (one of her better-known songs is titled 'Wuthering Heights'), but also because I loved Jane Eyre. :)

Hey Facade! My train of thought? XD
And yeah, the comments. Comments sections get scary. I can't remember whether the crazy militia cult apologist was posting all over this article or an earlier one but... yeah. They do get going on religion.
Jane Eyre: Strong heroine, creepy hero.

Wuthering Heights is good. But, there are some pretty interesting moments in the novel. Like, you actually read it and you just have to sit there and be like, 'did he really just do what I think he did?' ((it's nice if you are familiar with the Victorian euphemisms, etc, lol))
I do prefer Jane Eyre to Wuthering Heights I think. You would like the most recent adaptation to film then Facade, we were just commenting on its good and bad moments.

Woody & Facade: Yeah, and how I'm apparently very picky about the destitution sequence. Which may only work in the book for all I know. Either it's accurate but really corny in the movie, or it weakens Jane, or... I can't even remember what the other one was like that I've seen. It was a '90s version, though, a shorter one...

yes it's fantasy woody. she has a lot of books but it's best to start in order and start with Alanna: the First Adventure.

I have Trickster's Choice, but since I never read any of the books with Alanna in them, well... I was mightily lost and quickly gave up reading it.
Reading all of Tamora Pierce's stuff is on my list of things to do before I forget. :) You can imagine how quickly that list changes! :gonk: ... Especially since it's unwritten. :ninja:
Ooh, I wanna see the new Jane Eyre movie then, Woody!
I remember hearing about some miniseries that came out in like... 2004, I want to say? Never bothered seeing it, but meh.
I loved the book. We had to read Jane Eyre, Silas Marner, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and The Portrait of Dorian Grey (Gray?) for sophomore year's honors English, although I only read Jane Eyre... Since, of course, I've regretted not reading Dorian Grey (...Gray?). And The Scarlet Pimpernel, as well, mainly because I love French stuff. But Silas Marner was boring to read in the beginning, so who cares about that crap. :gonk:
