In my middle school, they also put those things over our keyboards!

We also had these slim little rubbery covers that we put over the keys. It was almost like a glove; and once they were on, you couldn't tell which key was which!

Ooh, plastic. That's fancy. I do remember cardboard, though. And, hey, I can't complain. The ability to type reasonably quickly is a good skill to have when everything's run by computer!

Teehee, I can type reasonably fast as well.
Of course, I don't use the home row. I normally just use my two index fingers to type, and the occasional ring finger. I also use my thumb to press the space bar, normally. xD;

Oh, I'm all about the home row. It's how they taught us, and it's how I learned! But thumbs are definitely supposed to be used for the space bar, so you have that right.

I never actually learned the correct way to type but I have my own technique that works for me I don't really have to look at the keys to type because I always hit with the same fingers. I use... all my fingers except for my ring fingers, I always hated using them in class anyway. And my thumb has the space bar down pretty well. In the class in HS I figured out how the little typing program they gave us worked and I figured how to beat it. It would count how mant letters you typed in a minute while matching the text to the screen for typos... if you just typed one big long line of text and didn't hit the space bar then that was only one typo and made your wpm go way up.. hehehe... So I neer learned the correct way to do it because I figured my way around it. Ad when I type it's usually something from my mind so it doesn't matter if I look at the keys anyway :P ooh.. actually my right ring finger is the one that hits the backspace. XD Weird I know.

Not really in an accident, yet. I plan on breaking something when I get back from deployment, leg, arm, neck... something will get broken while I'm flying down the slopes or flying through the air on a dirt bike! I can hardly wait.
