*sniffs* I have a healthy fear of pain and death. ... And an unhealthy fear of spiders in general.

That's basically it. It was one of my mom's stories, and I don't remember if it was Texas or not. Might have been some other state out that way. Like Arizona or New Mexico or something.

well spiders in the cities don't get too big unless you hang out in the fields. I'm arachnophobic and I do just find. It's really not that bad Tav unless you are hanging out in like the san antonio hill country. But seriously hang out in houston.

not really we just have a ton of fire ants.

and again most of what you are listing is in the country or in the random fields you sometimes find in the cities.

*Shrug* I heard a story about ants that eat electrical wiring. I thought it was in the south, but then, most states are south of here.

Only if they're carpenter ants and have a mind set on living in your house.
I know Mil TT^TT
Ya know, the only parts of Texas that look like the "Wild West" are the way far out west Texas area. The real deserts are from New Mexico and Arizona

I guess I just have a hard time imagining cities in general. I don't go to big cities very often. Hell, I thought Ann Arbor was huge and scary for the longest time! Took several years of living here to get use to it.

sugar ants are a harmless but very very very annoying nuisance. and once they get in your house they aren't freakin' leaving!

I guess I am guilty of thinking of Texas as desert with a few huge cities thrown in here and there. =/

Well, if it helps you imagine, here's our noble city of Houston:

It's huge. And most cities here are. Everything's bigger in Texas. Especially the burgers and trucks.
