yeah, but we only have two or 3 papers in all. that's the only work I have to do and I don't even have to go to class because he doens't have an attendence policy. but I'll do the work anyways and go to class...

my dad says that, but I think that's only true with some of the old albums, because people don't make them the same these days. I use youtube to find all my songs. I just come across stuff.

There's really no replacing a good face-to-face lecture. :)

They still make 'em like that these days. You just have to know where to look. They don't have to be themed, necessarily, just... cohesive. Flowing, you know? Not just a compilation of hit singles and, well, filler. But I expect it's rarer to find a cohesive album now, in part because people can cherry-pick songs now, so... There's a feedback loop going on...

Hey Sara! We do keep it pretty clean around here!

you can get on sites in school? at mine everything was blocked down to google images! every game, forum, deviant art, poetry sharing site. if they find it, they block it.

my teacher has such personality and he's wacky that I just want to listen to him lecture for 3 days about how racism came to be.

I guess I don't look in the right albums.

@Kat: That's good, that you have an interesting teacher. It's kind of hit or miss when it comes to history classes.

I can't remember what genres you listen to?

he's crazy for sure! and the fact that he made us recite words that aren't 'politically correct' so we can learn that it isn't racist to say them!

that's bs Sara!

I like my country and pop!

Well, context has a lot to do with words like that. It's not racist to read Huckleberry Finn, for example.

I don't know about country, but pop like... Top-40 pop? :)

Zephi's not getting deported. She's getting deployed! Which means they'll let her back in the country when her tour of duty is done and... it'll be mid-February, right?

Interesting. :)

I guess I mean, what kind of pop? I listen to pop, but it's usually singer-songwriter pop, not Lady Gaga style pop or DisneyPop or whatever.

Something like that, I think.

XD S'okay, Sara. Just... I figured someone had to.

Lady Gaga is popular, anyway. I'd consider her dance pop. But yeah, I like quieter songs, too. Such as Missy Higgins. Whose albums are plenty cohesive. :)

No idea. I'm not sure I've ever listened to Vanessa Carlton. But Wikipedia says soft rock, piano pop, and pop rock.

There are a lot of singer-songwriters out there. The name sounds familiar, and I just plugged her into Pandora, so now I'm listening to Vanessa Carlton Radio. :) (Previously I was listening to V.V. Brown radio, and it was getting weird.)
